While driving could step on the brakes pedal and noise will come from bottom of vehicle, and another noise from fuel tank that makes a lot of noise ,like bouncing. Could not be corrected by dealer. The consumer was concerned about the fuel tank noise and states that it should be investigated. There is a cluncking noise on take off or stoping due to trans mount failure.

The plastic molded gas tank is loose, and moves around when driving. Dealer has been contacted. Heat shield will not stay secured to the tank, dealer has attempted to repair twice, however has been unsuccesful and states that the whole ank needs replaced.

I drove over scrap metal road debris at night. It bounced up and slashed a 2 foot gash in the soft cell fuel tank, which protrudes at least 3 inches below the chassis frame. Tank was nearly full and all fuel leaked out. Luckily, there was no fire. Vehicle was rendered inoperable and had to be towed to dealer for repairs. I believe this is a bad design to have a soft cell fuel tank exposed as it is on this truck. There should be some sort of metal frame or box around the fuel tank to prevent punture from road debris. There is nothing to prevent this from happening again and possibly causing a fire.

Plastic gas tank is rubbing, causing squeaking noise. Dealer was supposed to have district representative contact, which never happened. Truck has been in shop 6 times for problem.

While the vehicle was parked it smelled of fuel. Consumer took vehicle to dealer , and the technician had told her that tank was punctured on the bottom.

Failure of fuel pump and fuel pump/level, caused shut down of engine. Could not restart engine truck had to be towed into shop, all parts replaced still under warranty so no charge for replacements.

Absence of baffle in fuel tank allows gas to slam forward and back in tank, subjecting connections to stress and potential failure and fire hazard.

Fuel level according to gauge drops to below empty after 50 to 100 miles. Fuel light comes on when tank is 80% full. Have talked to several owners of like trucks that have the same problem.

When filling tank up fuel guage red empty although 50 miles later there was still gas in tank. Dealer said sending unit was stuck.

Fuel guage was inoperable and misread amount of fuel in vehicle. Dealer has been notified.
