Adaptive Equipment Problems of Dodge Ram 1500

I was driving along at about 50-55 mph when suddenly the rear of the truck is violently propelled upwards, lifting the rear wheels up off the pavement. I look up in the rear view mirror trying to make sense of what just happened and I see my spare tire standing straight up in the middle of the road and other vehicles braking and weaving to avoid the dump my truck just took in the middle of the road. Once I looked under the bed of the truck I noticed a 4 to 5 inch piece of frayed cable is all that's left where my spare tire used to be. It must have gotten hung up under the bumper when it dropped because the bumper is now pushed up towards the tailgate in the center. My spare was a brand new tire as well.

A/c did not put out cold air. Issues with a acuater door behind the dashboard at 15k. Then at about 36k the a/c was putting out warm air again. The dealer replaced a regulator for the compressor. The truck has 75k and the evaperative cooler behind the dashboard is leaking and needs replaced.

Ignition turned off while driving, keys were swinging and shut off car. Steering and brake loss, almost crashed, had to move to neutral while rolling and start up, then slam into drive while moving to avoid crash on interstate 880 through san jose.

The contact owns a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that there was an abnormal knocking sound underneath the dashboard. When the knocking sound stopped, the ventilation system failed and caused the defrost to fail. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The contact was advised that the air blend door and the actuators needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

I have been informing gulfgate Dodge Chrysler Jeep inc 7550 gulf freeway houston, TX 77017 (281)477-6767. Of the recall on the rear axle pinion since 2013 and we as of today haven gotten it taken care up. No one has call to follow up. We have been calling them all we recieve is we will call when we get some in. I will be keeping this as a record of complaint in my files. If the vehicle gets damage and the cause is of the part not being replace with be a huge issue with us. I will not in the future buy any other vehicle from gulfgate Dodge nor will I refer them to anyone.

Tl- the contact owns a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign id numbers: 09v158000 ( equipment) and 13v038000 (power train) however, the parts to do the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Fe.

Noticed fluid on the ground under truck checked fluid ;added fluid; had system checked at local repair shop decided to keep adding fluid can not afford to have repair done at this time; the clamps and hoses seem to be loose but was also told about some "o" rings in the lines.

We purchased our new ram truck Feb 23rd, 2001 & have kept it garaged when not in use, serviced as required by Dodge, washed & waxed as needed & used the best vinyl protectant available on the interior to keep our truck looking new. Suddenly a crack appeared on the passenger side of the dash that makes a very distracting rubbing crunching noise when the vehicle is in motion. We feel Dodge is aware of using inferior materials in the dash of ours and others trucks & that a recall should be made to correct this defect. This is such an awful, ugly defect that it lessens the selling & trade in value of these vehicles & the owners should not have to take this hit due to the decision of Dodge to use inferior materials in the manufature of these trucks.
