1 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2000 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 05/31/2018

While I was driving on a city road, the vehicle just shut off. Almost like I turned the ignition off. All gauges worked as normal, stereo, a/c, etc(aux power components) . No check engine light came on or anything. Pulled to side off road and turned hazards on. I tried to restart vehicle it would turn over but would not start, I then noticed in the odometer that it stated "no bus" . Thinking it may have been an electronic system issue with fuel system I checked fuse box under the hood. I pulled the fuel system relay out then reinstalled. Truck started up ( all this took about 5-10 min). So I purchased a new relay but waited to have see if issue was resolved. Sitting in a parking lot a few days later I started vehicle and and started to load groceries , the vehicle shit off again, I tried to restart and same thing, looked at odometer and again it stated 'no bus" so I installed new relay. Put in off position and tried again. Still no luck. Waited a few min and tried to start vehicle again and it started up. Looked up on forums to find possible solution and the next step was to try the coil. I have installed new coil on 06/05/2018 and am currently waiting for issue to come again. To day is 06/06/2018. Thinking back the vehicle has had some jerking motions that almost resemble the same symptoms but never fully died , just jerked really bad but continued to drive. This is unsafe for if I was on a highway it kills power to the power steering pump and could cause an accident.

2 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 12/13/2016

While driving my truck straight down rememberance road (secondary highway) it stalled, loosing power steering and power brakes. I was traveling at a speed of approx 45 mph with no turns, coasted to the shoulder put in park and restarted luckily there was no other traffic. Truck restarted and I proceeded home. I parked the truck all seemed fine. Went out the next day and truck would not crank. Battery load checked ok, if I jump the starter relay @ pin 30 to 87 truck will crank. When key is turned on the dash lights come on along with radio, headlights, and blower for heat/air. This truck only has 56,000 miles on it and has been very well taken care of by me. It should be noted the gas gauge did not move when ignition key was turned on even though it had half a tank, it worked fine when I parked it. I have searched on line for this stall condition for my 2005 Ram 1500 4. 7l 4x4. It appears to happen alot if you search this condition on line with other Dodge vehicles also and is very dangerous, what if I had been on the freeway doing 70 and lost my ability to stop or steer this vehicle out of harms way. Well the most obvious answer, I wouldn't be here writing this complaint. I am so upset, as a cancer survivor and all I went through with that, it would be a sorry way to be injured or die. I have instructed my love ones to take action against Dodge should I die because of this trucks issue of loosing power. This is an ongoing problem that needs resolved by a recall or at least a thorough investgation of the root cause. I believe this is related to the pcm. I have had it towed to a garage to be looked at.

3 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2000 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 06/24/2016

The vehicle stalls when slowing down or stopping at a stoplight. No codes appear and the power steering and brakes no longer work. The vehicle may startup immediately or take two hours to restart. The radio and lights work, but the gauges don't engage when trying to restart the car. The problem occurs during warm weather days. The problem has occurred a number of times when my teenage son has been driving the vehicle. I'm afraid the vehicle will stall and place me in a dangerous situation. The problem has occurred a tremendous amount of times over the past year.

5 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2001 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 09/01/2014

The dash on my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 is cracking in many different places. The front bezel on the instrument gauge panel is also cracking. My Dodge ram has under 60,000 miles on it. I have always used a sun shade on this truck, so the cracking is not from sun exposure. I know this is happening to most Dodge trucks around the same year as mine. This should be recalled and should be replaced by the manufacturer .

6 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 1995 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 07/18/2014

The dash and lower dash bezel in my truck are crumbling more and more every day. Pieces fall of if you hit a bump in the road. The cup holders are no longer functional because of this and if it continues like it is the gauge cluster will no longer be held in place. Ontop of all this if the vehicle were involved in a wreck where the air bags deployed the passenger would get a face full of plastic shards from the dash ( what little is left of it) resulting in injury and possible blindness. Dodge has plenty of resources and money to fix this issue. Yes the vehicle is 20 years old and out of warranty but there are plenty of vehicles much older with solid dashes still in one piece. Dodge claims this is just cosmetic but as broken as mine its become more than that. Im sure they would rather pay to have some dashes replaced with better materials than a lawsuit when someone is injured by the defective plastic.

7 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem of the 2001 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 03/24/2010

The dash on my 2001 Dodge 1500, began to crack a few years ago for no apparent reason. Now, there are several long cracks and large sections of the dash are rattling. I am having intermittent electrical problems with the instrument panel. Frequently, none of the dash displays work, including speedometer, odometer and the fuel gauge. This is a very dangerous problem. I am very concerned that part of the dash is going to fall in or fall off while I am driving or an electrical problem will occur while driving. On-line searches have revealed that many people have already reported this problem and the safety concerns that they have.
