The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving at various speeds, the contact experiences difficulty opening the rear window. The handle is located behind the driver's side head rest. In addition, the accelerator pedal is too close to the brake pedal, which occasionally causes the contact to accelerate when he is actually trying to brake. On one occasion, he crashed into his home due to the pedals being so close together. No one was injured during the crash and the vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer. The current mileage was 2,990 and failure mileage was 500. Updated 07/29/08 updated 07/29/08.
If you apply hard pressure to the brake pedal, the pedal will travel almost to the floor going past the gas pedal. The gas and brake pedals are fairly close together and if your foot is off set on the brake pedal, your shoe will catch the gas pedal when pressing down on the brake pedal. This will cause the engine to speed up while you are trying to stop the vehicle. Trying to stop the vehicle at the same time you are making it go faster, just isn't very good.
