I was driving to work that morning traveling about 40 into the city when all of a sudden I heard a loud noise, I barely could handle the steering wheel to coast it to the side before it came to a complete hault, I look out my window and my drive shaft broke in 2 pieces was passing me on the main road. Front end was on the side shoulder, back end was out in the road. I jumped out of the truck and grabbed up both ends of my drive shafts and put in the back of my 04 Dodge ram truck, then started directing traffic on this busy road of morning commuters. Fluid was everywhere on the road so I'm trying to put sand from the side of the road onto the fluid that was on the road that had leaked out my truck all while directing traffic to keep from creating an accident. An law officer came ask was I alright, I answered explained what had happened and he never took a report instead replied with "seems like you got everything handled" and got back in his car and drove off. I called for a tow service for their assistance and requested it be took to a shop. Where it now sits unrivaled. It was inspected by the mechanic and learned that the pinyin nut had came off cause my rear end to lock up which caused my drive shaft to come out and when it hit broke it smooth into 2 pieces that caused damage to my transmission case. This could have ended very badly for me that day, I'm thankful that it didn't. But now my truck is tore up do to a faulty manufacturers pinyin nut. And I need my truck fixed so I can work and support my family. This was not my doings. I love my truck very much and desperately need it back up and running.
I was driving and the rear drive shaft fell out of the truck and the rear locked up making the truck undrivable. I heard this is a common problem in Dodge rams and it is definitely a safety issue and there should be a recall to address this reoccurring problem that can cause a loss of life or life threatening accident.

The cv axle on the passenger side has gone out 3 times in the last 6 months. That's not just coincidence. And there is no extreme driving conditions or unnecessary turning going on.
We purchased this vehichle and the steering wheel has a slit through it like its been deployed I would like to make sure it is safe also the side passenger seat the front seems like something is pocking you through the seat like it is not supposed to be there also the whole steering system seems off and not safe . I would like it to be noted and a recall should be made before injury to anyone.
Driving and it will randomly have a death wobble. . . Hit a bump or at a certain speed it will have a death wobble and is hard to control until slowed or stopped.
I was driving about 45-50 mph and pushed on my breaks. When I pushed on my breaks, I had no power steering and was unable to accelerate. No warning lights. I pulled over and restarted the vehicle and it was fine. Was just purchased used and driving home from dealer.

Where the sway bar is bolted to the chassis has completely deteriorated causing sway bar to completely detach from both sides of the frame. This has caused it very difficult to steer and nearly impossible the more mph the vehicle goes. I own another vehicle nearly exactly the same but a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 VIN number 3b7hf12z3wm288489. It to has the same exact problem. I believe that the quality of steel used in manufacturing the frame of these vehicles was not up to standards.

Unknown will be driving down the road and the truck will shut off. When this happens it also affects the power steering and the power brakes. Has happened at a spotlight and I had to push it thru a busy intersection. Has happened going down the road just at random. No warning. But it does show (no bus) when this happens but it does not trigger a code or engine light try to start it and it will not start. Sometime it's only a few minutes up too 1/2 hour the last time it cut off.

This truck gets the death wobble at random times at highway speeds , its almost caused me to crash a few times , something is not right with the front end.
Front end suspension and steering problems, very loud rubbing sound and unstable feels like it might brake apart.
When wet or in heavy rain, the battery will shut off and the truck will lose power steering. The truck speedometer will still work and the engine will run, but the battery voltage gauge drops to 0 and the radio and power steering turn off, dangerously, leaving you to have to steer without power steering for the truck.
While I was driving 60 miles an hour down 29 south, the vehicle just shut off, no power steering, no abs brakes, after it came to a complete stop, put it in park, I turned the ignition off, then turned the ignition on and it started up an drove.
After filling up with fuel on serval different occasions the truck will shut off with no warning lights or service lights. This causes the power steering and everything to stop. When at a stop sign it can be started safely from park or neutral but when moving it has to be put in neutral to re start because the brake system does not work good either. It has happened at stop sign and stop light as well as driving down the road at 55 mph.

Front wheel bearing noise/vibration. In motion city, highway, straight, turning instrument cluster failure stationary/ in motion loud vacuum/humming noise from behind glove box stationary/ in motion.
Engine stalls when driving at low speed and when in idle. This started happening approximately 3 years ago. Check engine has never turned on.
My truck has had the death wobble from day 1. Countless trips to fix what I now know has been a known issue. The trucks front end goes into massive shaking out of the blue.
Shift lever broke off while driving out of my driveway. After backing out of parking spot went to put in drive, shifter got sloppy and nothing would engage.
I'm worried that the air bag on passenger side is defective as the strangest noise is coming from behind the dash like a rubber band is tightening and then clicking on and off. Doesn't happen all the time. I've also had my truck in for the steering before and it has never been right. Now the hood will not shut right. It's always been a lemon. I fight to keep it on the road. It doesn't even have 36,000 miles on it. I'm wondering what recalls I've missed so I'm checking. Thank you.
No accident yet but forseen. The u-joint part of intermediate steering shaft is about to come apart. The truck has 110k mi. And if this comes apart I will lose all steering capability also have 2"ofplay in steering wheel causing difficulity in steering and weaving I believe this part should have much longer life than this and some sort of secondary mechanism to hold this together because if it comes apart while driving it will be a disaster. Ive never seen anything like this in any other vehicle.

I noticed that when breaking at a red light or during high traffic areas, my truck looses complete power. I cannot turn the steering wheel and the engine shuts down. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to worry about not being able to steer away from traffic. I don't know if there is a recall for this issue, but I will certainly will like to get some information about this issue.
In 2018,yr 2012 Dodge ram truck, was recalled for the t79 recall. After recall was installed, now truck stalls-goes dead when brake pushed & dies in reverse. After research, it's a major issue w/the 1500's yet there hasnt been a recall. This is a very dangerous situation that Dodge has put the owners in. So when I brake for anything on a hwy, it goes dead! the dealer checks for an error code & yet there is no error code so they cant do anything about it-dependent on computers versus hands on mechanics. Dealer suggested to leave my truck & they'll drive it until it happens which is random. It's ridiculous that mechanics have no real hands-on mechanical ability & depend on computers to provide error codes. After the t79 recall was done, was it required to upgrade/update or refresh the computer system afterwards? dealer said the recall did not call for an computer update as Dodge did not require it. Per internet forums, youtube, & internet, the stalling is a major issue! guess I have to take chances w/this issue of stalls/dying on hwy travel-dangerous! also, the steering wheel has something loose inside of it. It sounds like the airbag has come loose & is moving when wheel turned. Any recalls or word on this? again the dealer plugs in his computer & doesn't see anything wrong even though you can hear it. Dodge needs to be accountable & responsible for all these mistakes-esp since this is a safety issue! also, on the 1st day of purchasing my truck, the pass airbag light remained on. Dealer kept new truck for 6 wks to attempt resolution & ended up contacting Dodge engineering & found out the colored wires were crossed - the colors were interchanged at the factory! amazing & no recall was done. It's impossible to speak w/cust serv at Dodge ram- someone that is knowledgeable.
The fabricated attachment points that hold the control arms, track bar, damper and springs to the front axle rust to the point of being unsafe. I have replaced my front axle once, and will have to do so again shortly. Fortunately this problem was detected before the axle fell out of the truck, and that is what would have happened! the manufacturer simply did not protect these critical parts from corrosion.
