The pickup has had issue with being very difficult to come out of park. Upon searching internet is seems this is very common and expensive to fix being one of two (or both) things. The shift cable linkage and bushings premature wear, or the valve body release allowing the shifter to be removed from park. Either way concern is this will fail causing inability to shift safely into park and prevent an accident. Extremely unsafe. I have been advised this was already corrected by qualified dealer, but no change. Vehicle has just under 93,000 miles on it and only highway.

I was driving on i55 this morning and all of a sudden my truck started vibrating really bad, the steering wheel was veering, I had to constantly fight to keep in my lane. And when I touched my brakes it veered. Riding really rough, and has power loss. I took it to the nearest shop and they said my driveshaft was very loose, and that it is affecting everything that I described. The center driveshaft support bearing is also failing.

On a 35mph street, truck suddenly bucking as if it was going to stall, and the rpm's were erratic. I put it in n pulled over and shut it off. It restarted with no issues. I drove about 9 miles, pulled into my driveway and was coasting up it, when suddenly the truck accelerated. I depressed the brake, nothing. I slammed it in park and shut it off. It happened a few times while idling, or moving at a slow rate. I was stopped at a light when it suddenly accelerated into a 50mph, 4 lane main thoroughfare. I stepped on parking brake, turned it off and thanked god that I was unharmed. I started back up, put it in d, depressed the gas pedal (light turned green) and it would not accelerate. I took my foot off the gas, then it bucked a few times and accelerated on it's own. I depressed the brake pedal, but it kept revving up and accelerating. Again, I depressed the emergency brake and shut it off. It just happened again as I was coming up my suburban 35mph street. I got to approximately 20mph when it wouldn't accelerate further. I bucked and choked, rpm's jumping up and down the last 100 yards. I turned into my driveway at an idling rate and it took off like a shot. I pressed the brake and it still kept accelerating. If I hadn't turned the wheel, I would have driven through my garage. This is not an isolated incident. I suffer from idiopathic cardiomyopathy and ckd, these incidents have caused me to be unable to breathe as my heart was beating so fast. This must be addressed immediately!.
Engines needing cam shafts lifters timing chains they over heat electric fans not working batteries explode transmissions stop shifting bad valve bodies bad electrical parts these trucks are driven around one location at 35 mph or less 24-7 and parked for long times at idle. No city or hwy driving 4 different trucks at dealerships since 9/16/2020 still not repaired.
The truck with attached trailer was parked on an inclined driveway. The truck was placed in park and the key was removed from the ignition. I proceeded to load a compact tractor approximately 2500 lbs. The truck started to roll down the hill and crashed thru a fence doing extensive damage to the truck. I did not try to start the truck and waited for mechanic to assess any mechanical damage. The mechanic came to my place and when he got in the truck the transmission indicated that it was still in park. Dodge told me that there was no recall on this type vehicle with the transmission not holding. The representative told me that there had been similar problems with gas powered engines but not the diesel. I would like to know if this can be evaluated for recall. No one got hurt in this instance but caused extensive damage to the truck mechanically and cosmetically.
Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Dodge ram. The contact stated that while driving at 70 mph, the vehicle stalled and completely shut off. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 170,000. Dr.
Vehicle cuts often without any indication that anything is wrong. It does it any speed and there is no power steering, no brakes. This happened the first time at freeway speed and nearly caused a rear end collision because of the sudden and nearly uncontrollable stop.
May 2018, put truck in park and left it running to go in to get something. We were in an RV park at the time. A minute or so later, it went in reverse and backed into a trailer causing damage to both. Gearshift showedit was still in p. Alarm has since been put in under recall e17 after we requested it. (had asked when air bags were changed out in December 2017, if any other recalls, and were told no). A Dodge rep came on June 12, 2018 and looked at the truck. As of 12/10/2018, we have not been notified of results.
The gear shift can be moved from park without depressing the brake to release the shift interlock.

Once at shop at home , I was close enough to catch it , without incident . Second time I was at a convenient store , had been in there5 to ten mins. It took off across busy state hiway. Thitd time in a lake. Witnesses on last 2.

Transmission does not want to shift from first to second without leaving off of the gas. Now it doesn't go into park just stays in reverse. Called repair shop and they said it happens a lot to Dodge trucks. $3,000 to replace or repair.

I entered the highway in my Dodge Ram 2500 2008 truck, while I was at 50 mph my truck started making growling noises from the engine and I heard explosive noises from the bottom of the truck. My speed dropped to 25 mph and I could see from my side mirror car parts exploding off the truck on the highway in front of other vehicles while I was in motion and driving. This a highway at speeds of 70 mph so I had to move over to the service lane luckily I was in the right lane but I barely avoid a large petroleum truck from crushing my truck which would have been a homicide because he was blowing his horn and could not stop in time. The car dealer claims they are investigating its has now been 4 days and I have not heard anything yet called Chrysler manufacturer waiting to hear back about what caused this to happen to my truck. I only know some of the parts damaged on the truck.

At 138916 mile took vehicle in for warranty recall n62 left outer tie rod assemble , since that time have had six instances of uncontrolled sever and dangerous vibrations almost to the point of losing control at highway speeds of 60-70mph. The most recent occurrence was yesterday while making a left hand curve at 60mph; vehicle not has approximately 141,000 miles.
2005 Dodge ram 1500. Consumer writes in regards to rear axle pinion nut repair and driver airbag inflator recall. The parts were not available. Recall # 14v796000.
Tipm (total integrated power module) failed while driving vehicle. Vehicle lost engine power, power steering, and brakes. ¾-ton trucks are very heavy and are near impossible to turn and control without power steering and do not stop without power brakes. I was able to maneuver vehicle to the side of the road with minimal damage to the body. I was lucky to not cause a bigger accident and lucky not to injure myself or anybody else. This tipm failure is very common with Dodge vehicles and I am disgusted how Chrysler-Dodge has conducted themselves in regard to recalls and warranty. Had I been towing a trailer on the highway I would have certainly caused an accident. I fear this tipm failure will result in loss of life if it hasn't so already.
2000 miles ago as I was driving down the freeway the truck began to pull to the right and handled as if there was some broken linkage or steering box was failing. After inspecting and not finding anything wrong, I continued my trek home and couldn't comfortably go above 30 mph, it almost felt like half of the front axle was locked in 4wd. Searched online and saw that seized rear brake calipers are not uncommon so I replaced the rotors, calipers, and pads. Made several short trips and thought it was resolved. During a 1 hour drive the problem returned and I was unable to control vehicle and stopped to inspect. The brakes were not hot but the rear axle was binding badly, I limped the truck home, afraid to drive it again. As I have been doing research on the problem, the internet forums revealed many peoples stories about Dodge ram axles "locking/seizing" while driving down the freeway causing accidents and roll-overs. Just thought you might want to look into it. Thanks, signed an immaculately cared for and broken Dodge ram :(.
Steering recall- vehicle initiates into the death shake when speed exceeds 55mph on a turn. Transmission problems- vehicle has problems shifting normally by shifting straight into 4th gear when shifting into drive and will drive sluggishly.
After receiving notification from Dodge that parts were available to correct the diesel fuel heater electrical connector (recall p65/NHTSA 14v-635) my Dodge dealer (rairdon Dodge, bellingham) told me the parts for the recall were on back order from Dodge. Subsequently the check engine light came on shortly thereafter and when diagnosed the problem was with the oxygen sensor system. Once again the dealer told me that the repair parts were on back order from Dodge and they would call when the parts arrived, this was close to a month ago and in the meantime the truck has been parked and not been used. I believe that this extended period waiting for back ordered parts is excessive and needs to be rectified, especially when Dodge indicated that the parts for the recall were available.

Transmission burned up and caused the truck to catch fire due to improper dipstick fit. Fluid spewed onto the turbo and started fire. Burnt stuff up pretty bad.
This is regarding the 6. 7l cummins engine. Throttle lag from a dead stop such as merging into traffic or crossing a road is dangerous. This lag could very well cause me to get rear ended or broad sided. There is also very significant lag after the gas pedal has been released and then pressed once again. An example is when slowing down when approaching a slower car and then changing lanes and pressing and accelerating to go around the vehicle.
