Vehicle is owned by my parents. I am his adult son (62). My father was driving. He failed to stop in time to avoid impacting the vehicle in front. Based on pictures and in-person inspection, he was traveling at a speed that should have deployed the driver's and front seat passenger's air bags. These did not deploy. The side airbag did deploy. No dashboard warnings indicated a problem with the airbags. No recall was in place.

Called dealer on 10-10-2022, 2:30pm to arrange repair and was told that the dealer would call me when parts were available. I have not been contacted by the dealer or any other party. If this is an urgent safety problem and my life may be at risk, shouldn’t this be a higher priority for the dealer and manufacturer; should I consider my potential loss of life or disability to be collateral damage? urgent matters allowed to languish for a full year or more do not qualify as making a good faith effort to resolve a safety recall.

I had a wreck in my 2018 Ford Edge. I hydroplaned. I got a concrete wall of a bridge. My front bumper was off. Under both headlights my car was demolished. Rear bumper and back hatch hit a metal railing my steering wheel airbag did not deploy. The only airbag in the whole car that deployed was underneath the steering wheel.

Another car ran a red light and I unfortunately tboned them with the front of my vehicle causing my car to be totaled. Because my airbags did not go off I was thrown into the window causing a head injury and an ambulance ride to the hospital. I have yet to have it be inspected to see if there were airbags or if there was a faulty issue with them. Police stated to me that they could not believe the airbags did not go off from the crash. The vehicle has been inspected by insurance for auto damage but not an in depth look to see if there was an issue with the airbags. There were no warning lamps or messages about the airbags.

I have always taken it to a Ford dealership to have my regular service done…oil charge etc. It those times I have told them the other problems I was having example electrical problem started a month after I bought my vehicle every time they told me nothing is wrong or they replace the battery I have had 4 batteries replaced by Ford dealerships. I also had recall on my airbags the dealership told me numerous times you do not need to worry about your vehicle it is fine!! after my 100, 000 mile warranty ran out I had my vehicle serviced by a mechanic shop. They could the electrical issue was in headlights & dashboard had them replace headlights & lights in dashboard. On 3/19/2023 I was in a bad vehicle accident involved 9 vehicles I was the 5 vehicle. I have neck back & leg injuries. My airbags never went off! if the airbags would of worked properly have would not of gotten all my injuries. My police officers & paramedics explained that to me at scene of the accident. Why did Ford not do or repair my airbag recall instead of telling meh car was not recalled even when I received service notification in the mail to get the airbags fixed.
