Takata recall***" received notice in July 2016 that my vehicle has been identified in the takata recall, for a defective front passenger air bag inflator. At first the notice, and then several subsequent calls to Ford motor company headquarters, all stated it was safe to carry a front pasdenger. As others months and months passed without any notice. I made several calls to my local Ford dealer over the 18 month period, requesting an appointment for replacement. They actually treated me as if I was stupid for calling without having an official notice to replace the part. Finally I received another notice saying parts will be available in the spring, but also staying "do not drive with a passenger in the front seat. " fortunately and unfortunately, we have not used the vehicle with a front passenger. So, for the past 21 months I have had only a 1 passenger vehicle, which us in excellent condition and has only 88,000 miles on it. This has been an unbelievable, ridiculous situation for all.

Ford recall letter 7/16 re; passenger side air bag inflator. Call to dealership 10/16. Still not available. Ford recall letter 12/17 same issue. Stated still not available. Letter requested passenger seat be unoccupied till parts become available. This recall is now 21 months old and I'm not supposed to carry a passenger in the front seat 'till parts are available!!!!! inexcusable lawyer speak to cover Ford for any damages brought on by faulty air bag inflator.
Takata recall: I received a recall letter dated July 2016 from Ford informing me that "a ruptured inflator may result in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death. " I took the car the the Ford dealership in rockwall, texas and was told they did not have the repair parts and did not know when they would get them. Five months later, I wrote a complaint letter to the ceo of Ford objecting to the risk to my family of driving that defective vehicle. On January 3, 2017, I received a form letter back from Ford customer service that is worthless. I do not believe there is any serious intention to solve this dangerous situation.

Takata inflators: I received a recall notice in July 2016. It basically said, "don't call us - we'll call you!" this summer, I e-mailed and left phone mesages at my dealer, harrold Ford. I never received a response. This week, I received a legal notice in the mail tk holdings inc. , et al chapter 11 case. I have been driving around in a vehicle that could kill my passenger with no repair, compensation, or even an apology from Ford. How can I make sure that my car is repaired and safe to drive?.

Takata recall received letter July 2016 stating "on your vehicle the frontal airbag may rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. A reptured inflator may result in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death. " I have called the dealership where I bought my car and where I get my car serviced once a month since July of 2016 and spoken with mike romano when he will take my call. Richmond Ford Lincoln. 4600 west broad street. I have been mislead, lied to, calls not returned as promised. For fifteen months I have an expensive vehicle in which the passesnger side cannot be used. To do so would be like playing russian roulette with someone's life. I need as I have for the last 15 months for my car to be repaired and someone to take this very scary recall seriously.
I received a recall notice for the passenger side air bag inflator of this vehicle in July 2016. In December 2017 I received another letter stating that parts were still not available and would not be available until at soonest the spring of 2018. Ford recommended not letting anyone sit in the front passenger seat until repairs were made. Are they @#$%& kidding? this is an entirely unacceptable response and a ridiculous suggestion. A response timeline of two years for a potentially deadly situation and a suggestion that makes the car almost unusable is not acceptable. I wish to file the most strenuous complaint possible.
We got a notice in July 2016 stating that the passenger frontal air bag inflator may rupture in the even of a crash. We still have not heard from the company if they have found a solution to this problem. This is our family car and I don't feel safe driving it all of the time with my child.

Takata recall: remedy for repair or replacement of takata inflator has never been available even though we've inquired several times and brought the car in when notices were received.
The passenger frontal airbags inflator may rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. I received a letter for mail 2 year ago but Ford dealer is not doing anything about it.
I was notified by Ford in July of 2016 that there is an existing recall of the defective passenger frontal airbag inflator in my vehicle. I immediately notified my local Ford dealership, peacock Ford (formerly known as don reid Ford), where the car was purchased to schedule the repair and was informed that the parts were not available. Since that time, I have made repeated phone calls to the same Ford dealership to remedy the life-threatening situation that I have been faced with on a daily basis as I drive my vehicle.
Takata recall we received recall notification in 2016. Contacted dealer and was advised we would be notified when parts were in and service could be performed. Have not received notice. We received an additional recall notification in August 2017. We contacted the same dealer and was advised parts are still not available and we will be notified when service can be scheduled. Still no contact as of 11-1-2017. It appears Ford has not resolved defective issue with now bankrupt takata. Vehicle owners are at risk until corrective action is completed. What can we do to expedite defective air bag inflator replacment?.
Takata recall I have been informed that my vehicle is no longer safe to drive while some one is in the passenger seat. If deployed metal fragments-to be expelled causing serious injury or death. I called Ford to see if they might have a temporary solution reguarding this hazardous recall, since the possible replacement will not become available until the spring of 2018, the representative could not provide me with an answer. According to the rep Ford is not responsible. This airbag inflator is a huge problem in my life and I would have liked if they had rentals for the duration of this issue. Not only is it a hazard for the owner and my family but it is unethical for Ford company not to consider what could happen to the people who own defective vehicles. I own this Ford and have a family of five. I don't have other means to travel and take kids to school, soccer, and softball. This vehicle is our only way to be where we have to be. Ford is wrong for putting us out and putting my familys lives jeopardy.
The takata inflators recall notice was sent to me almost a year ago and there still isnt a remedy and it is not safe to transport my family in the vehicle as well its not safe to drive on the road for if the airbag deploys and is faulty I could get seriously hurt and cause my to possibly hurt others if I loose control of my vehicle.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 Ford Edge. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) for the front passenger inflator. The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
"takata recall" - passenger frontal airbag inflator still not replaced yet since being notified in June 2016 by Ford motor company.
Takata recall. Over seventeen months ago, I received information that there was a safety recall on my passenger frontal airbag. Because there is no remedy for the problem, I continue driving my car with passengers every single day with an airbag that has a ruptured inflator resulting in metal fragments striking my vehicle occupants that can cause serious injury or death if I am involved in an accident. Being that there is no remedy for the problem, I have to continue driving in the danger of a possible death of my passenger due to faulty airbags.
Takata inflators - the parts to repair the issue are delayed until spring 2018. I was told on the recall notice not to have people sit in the front passenger seat and this is starting to negatively impact my professional and personal life. I feel that I've been waiting an unreasonable amount of time to get this issue fixed. Thank you.
Takata recall. We have been waiting since June 16, nearly 1. 5 years, for the "free replacement;" but parts have not been available. . Dealership says they are not getting them from Ford. This is completely unacceptable. . Anyone sitting in the front passenger seat of my vehicle is at risk of severe injury or death if the inflator device fails! please take action to get this recall underway immediately.
Takata inflators, Ford recall 16s26. I have not been able to get this recall taken care of. The dealer, and Ford tell me different stories. Ford promised a paid for rental if you are uncomfortable driving, the deal said no to a rental or a loaner. I have been on a "waiting list" for parts for almost a year, and they still do not have the parts. I receive no communication from the dealer except if I call to check. Sometimes I am told I am not on the list, other times, there are no parts, all times no rental coverage or loaners available. I luckily have not had an accident, but I am so frustrated with the dealer and Ford I am ready to get rid of the car and get a different brand. They do not seem to care about safety or communication. It is terrifying to get a recall from Ford saying not to drive your car due to life threatening safety recall, but the dealer says it isn't a big deal. Who do you believe, but I am no longer feeling like I should be patient or give them the benefit of the doubt. I am looking for alternatives to this issue.
Takata recall NHTSA recall number: 16v384 this recall was issued in June of 2016. The recall states, "the passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash. . . " it is now February 2018, nearly 2 years later and Ford states that parts are still not available. Ford has advised me to "not allow anyone to sit in the passenger seat. " it is completely unreasonable for me to not allow anyone to sit in my front passenger seat for nearly 2 years and still not have the parts to complete this recall. This is a serious safety issue and it is not being handled in a "timely manner" as required by the NHTSA.
Takata recall I received a notification of two recalls in June 2016, one involving a gas tank that could potentially explode upon ignition (which has been serviced and replaced) and the other involving my passenger airbag (which has not been serviced or replaced). It's been more than five months since Ford notified me of the airbag recall, but as of this morning there is still no remedy or timeline available as to when there will be one. Recall date: Jun 01, 2016 recall title: passenger airbag inflator replacement NHTSA recall number: 16v384 Ford recall number: 16s26.
Takata recall - passenger airbag inflator needs to be replaced - when received Ford recall card, took it to allstate Ford in louisville, kentucky - they said they would contact us when parts in -- we have had to check with them -- they did not keep us updated and haven't - its been over a year - we have to drive this vehicle and risk death or disfigurement - we would like to have it fixed. Thank you.
I've been calling for months & months to have this recall fixed. I'm always told that parts are not available. I need to have this fixed!! it's a safety issue. Ford should find a solution for this problem or offer to replace the car at no cost to me. I fear that if this part is not replaced, that my family may be harmed by the ruptured inflator. See the recall notice below: NHTSA recall number: opens new window takes away from VIN lookup section> 16v384 recall date: June 1, 2016 manufacturer recall number: 16s26 summary: the passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. Takata recall. My vehicle was recalled due to the potential severity of harm to occupants when an airbag inflator ruptures. I was notified on June 1 2016 of this problem. I have called the Ford dealer a few times during the last 19 months and the answer is the same. No parts available. More recently, I received a letter from Ford advising that I should not use the front seat for passengers. Now my SUV is essentially a taxi cab. I'm sure you would agree this is a very serious matter. At this time, Ford has chosen not to assist consumers who unfortunately purchased a potentially lethal product from them. I think the NHTSA should require all manufacturers to compensate consumers who now have 1/2 a vehicle. In addition, I am concerned about the value of this vehicle. I do have one question you may assist with. In the 3rd amendment to the cro, paragraph 33 assigns a priority group to vehicles. According to my calculations, my recall notice of June 1 2016, along with the hah and age of my vehicle (2007), puts me in pg4. (March 31 2018 correction date). Append a of the document indicates that the 2007 Ford Edge is in pg5. Can you advise which pg my vehicle (and I) are in? I have been most patient, but 19 months of driving a potential bomb has made my patience dwindle. Please help us resolve this situation before more lives are lost. Thank you, lauren davis.
Takata inflators ** - 2 years and no replacement air bags for my vehicle. It has been recommended to not have anyone sit in the passenger seat. This now makes my vehicle a 4 passenger car (if you swish 3 people in the back seat). New airbags were to be available in spring 2018. Now I receive another notice that the air bag replacement will probably be another 3 to 6 months. I am extremely upset with how this situation has been handled and looks like it is now time to get legal assistance. I have been more than patient.
Takata inflators: my complaint is with your agency as much as Ford. Two years ago I learned of the inflator recall. I finally got written notification from Ford July 2016. After no further contact I called them with nothing further they could add. Called back July 2017 and was told no parts were being made, just don't use 1/4 the vehicle seating for safety. (not an option. ) follow up October 2017, working with a new vendor. . . Parts soon but no date. Got December 2017 letter parts delayed until early 2018. Its March. Called today, more bs. No parts made. Maybe 1st or 2nd quarter. Lady made a u-turn out of a parking lot a couple weeks ago and I missed her by inches. Worry every time we drive it often with grandkids in car. Nhtsa has done nothing we have observed to fine or otherwise hold Ford accountable/motivate them. I suspect they pay lobbyist to pressure your agency to ignore this problem. They had no problem getting their new cars out these last two model years. Tired of my families lives being at risk daily, but can not get out from under this car at this time and who would want to buy it. What happened to the ralph nader days when companies were fined into motivation to do the right thing instead of worrying about their profits. I'm tired of worrying about this proven deadly fault. Ford has verified we are part of the high risk group because of humidity. Get off your buts and get us some help please!.
Takata inflators. Why does this problem continue to exist? Ford has went so far as to tell my family not to ride in the front seat of this car. This problem has went on for over two years and I must use this car for our family car. We travel extensively and need to use this car. I have a 2005 Dodge pick-up that had the same problem and the problem was corrected in a timely fascion. I find it hard to believe the nhsta would allow Ford to get away with this problem for so long seeing as to the seriousness of this problem. Please reassure me and my family that we will be safe in this car while waiting for repairs. Latest recall notice I received from Ford stated the air bags may be here by the second or third quarted of this year, however this is not the firest time we have been told they were coming. I feel Ford is stalling all the owners of their product. Would u please research this situation and advise us.
