The contact owns a 2013ford Edge. The contact stated while driving approximately 40mph when the contact smelled burned rubber, and upon inspection the contact noticed fire coming from the rear windshield wiper. The contact pulled over and fire marshals extinguished the fire. A police report was not taken and no one was injuried. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer and is awaiting diagnosis. The manufacturer was informed of failure and told the contact to call NHTSA. The failure mileage was 188,013.
