Dashboard Failed Problems of Ford Escape

My vehicle is 3 years old. Instrument cluster died or just stopped randomly working. Ford won't do anything about it even though this is a manufacturer issue.

The instrument panel cluster has failed. Ford recalled certain 2014-2015 Escapes but not mine. I would like my vehicle to be included in the recall so this failed unit can be repaced.

When driving battery light comes all lights on dash goes out then eventually will come back on, there is a clicking noise on the dash then the power steering goes out n the heat will go off n on periodically. I've seen others complain regarding same issue on blogs. This happens everyday several times.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the instrument cluster failed to operate properly, which caused the gauges and warning indicators to become inoperable. Eby Ford Lincoln (2714 elkhart rd, goshen, in 46526, (574) 534-3673) was notified and stated that the failure was the same as Ford recall number 15c03: (instrument cluster may be inoperative/fmvss); however, the vehicle was excluded. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and also indicated that the vehicle was excluded from the manufacturer recall campaign. The failure mileage was not available.

The instrument panel lights and gauges went out at which time I noticed the power steering and turn signals didn't work. This happened 3 or times on a 30 minute drive with a duration of about 30-45 seconds each.

No cold air in air conditioner whole motor replaced in 2014 lock on back hatch replaced broke again . The electrical radio dash broke. Recall power chain wrench light on again. Heating coal replaced.

When driving my 2011 Ford Escape limited, the open door warning light, the tpms light, and the parking brake light will come on. In conjunction with this, the a/c will blow warm, the turn signal indicators won't work, and the lift gate will lock. If I hit the top of the dashboard, it all resets. I took it to the autonation Ford on the gulf freeway in houston. They said to replace the instrument cluster at a cost of $1000. I have viewed multiple videos on youtube and read many posts on this very same issue. In every case, the vehicle owner said the instrument cluster replacement failed to correct the issue. What was found to be true in many of them was the discovery of cold solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board. Once this was corrected, the vehicle ran normally with a fully functional instrument cluster. The conclusion to be drawn here is that it is a manufacturing defect that needs to be corrected by Ford. As to it being a safety issue, several of the posts stated that the entire cluster failed shutting the vehicle off. I have not experienced this yet but fear, if left uncorrected, that it could lead to that. The key point is that this is happening on hundreds, if not thousands, of Ford vehicles including not only my Escape, but explorers, expeditions, and f150s. Ford should be held accountable for this glaring defect.

While driving the battery light came on, power steering went out, then all power to dash went out, pulled over and couldn't roll up the windows, no power at all, let it sit for a minute and was then able to roll up the windows.

Takata recall. Dashboard cluster. All dashboard instrument not work. Signal for door gas seatbelt speedometer . The vehicle was in motion and dashboard when dead.

While I was driving back from the shooting range the engine did a hesitation and then when I pushed down on the gas to see if it would clear up the instrument panel gauges went haywire. The fuel, speed, rpm and heating cluster level arms all went to the max point and when I let off the acceleration to pull over the cluster panel gauges died like there was no power and when the engine idle leveled off the gauges went back to normal. The instrument panel did it 4 more times before I actually got home. I am afraid to drive it to work and this is my only transportation. What is causing the issue with this? I need to know as soon as possible. Thanks.

First time (while driving)instrument cluster needles jumped, display read p transmission not in park. Cycle repeated a couple of times then cluster light turned off and needles went to off position. Display only read prnd and mileage. Car taken to dealer on11-7-13. Cluster replaced by dealer. Picked car up from dealer 11-15-13. Repair worked about four days and same cluster problems returned and became worse. Multiple times cluster would not come on when starting, multiple times (while driving) car beeps and all warning lights turn on display reads service engine & p transmission not in park, cluster goes out while driving, multiple times. Today, cluster won't turn on, cluster display is completely black, heater does not get hot, cannot change vent from defrost to dash, radio won't turn on automatically, display above radio- time is wrong & no temperature reading, rear view camera not working. Car taken to dealer today.
