The contact owns a 2002 Ford Escape. The contact was driving 35 mph when there was an abnormal noise and the fuel straps fractured, causing the fuel tank to detach and fall to the ground. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who replaced the fuel straps and the plate that held the fuel tank in place.
