Took vehicle in for routine service and was told need new lug nuts. Said they were swollen and if we had a flat we would not be able to change our tire. We have had a problem with navigation for years. Told dealer is working with Ford for a solution, been over a year and still waiting. Phone is delayed, gps is way off, sitting in delaware and navigation says we are in maryland. This is a major disappointment.

Ford sync 3 system malfunctions randomly. Gps will show inaccurate location and inaccurate directions leading to misguiding down wrong street or wrong ways. Additionally, backup camera may not display on the screen which is a safety hazard when backing up. Problem may be related to the apim which is a known issue in many of their other vehicles.
The apim in the touch screen that controls gps, radio, blu tooth, is faulty so navigation will stop working, calls on blu tooth will drop, and you can't change radio stations. My backup camera will also get stuck on the screen even when I'm in drive. This can happen at all times, but usually will start out working then.
My screen display system is working but no sound is coming out , no gps, picks ups calls but no sound. The display sound in the SUV is not working.

Apim malfunction; 2016 Ford Escape. The vehicle’s apim is encountering issues that are causing the sync system, voice command, gps, radio, bluetooth, audio control, usb, hvac, and rearview camera features of the vehicle to be impaired and/or fail completely.
The myfordtouch system with navigation is unsafe. Due to continuous software and hardware errors, the large video screen is distracting to the driver. Phone does not sync from time to time, navigation does not acquire gps signal or vehicle position is incorrect. Many problems with bluetooth and usb integration, too many to list here. When glitches occur, the screen often goes completely blank, showing nothing at all. I have had my Escape in for service three times for these problems. My spouse complains when she rides in the car that I am distracted by continuous errors of the mft display. Problems with mft system have also been noted by consumer reports. I will take advantage of the lemon law to correct this unsafe situation with my vehicle.
When in reverse then put in drive the camera freezes while driving still see reverse. Gps blacks out alot. When you want to put windows up they go down, the car has caused so many problems even my mechanic said give it back. We bought the car new with 34 or 35 miles on it n I been feeling so unsafe in this vehicle for a couple yrs I cant even travel in it it dont go up hills . If I try check engine light comes on. And goes aboutv5 or 10 miles per hr. Up hill. Ford company does not care. I told them plenty of times the problems I have with the car n because I have no warnety they didn't want to help I tried for 2 yrs about my problem with the car but they dont care. My door hinges broke they didn't want to fix and my window on passenger side didn't work but I have them problem s fixed for safety recall but after I pd out if pocket almost $1500 to get it fixed n here it got recalled n I wasted my money. Eds automotive repaired that. But my other concerns that I been telling Ford in lebanon shaffer rd. They dont want to do nothing. It again is funny cause the 2020 Ford Escape is junk it is no good. N it's funny how all my complaints end up getting fixed cause recall. But what about the cam. In reverse. N my tail gate has a mind of its own when I put my groceries in the tail gate seems to come down n nobody is around got my head hit couple times. Started around 35000 45000 miles til I got in about it they said my warranty expired. N thats wrong when they sold me a junky car.
