1 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2013 Ford Escape

Failure Date: 06/21/2021

I have a 2013 Ford Escape that has had to have a new transmission due to its sudden and unexpected and with no warning failure. 6000 at Ford dealership. Then the problems with coolant started. It would suddenly start overheating, and start stalling . Dropped down to two mile and hour till you limp off the road. Have to constantly check it. Will be fine and then suddenly start leaking again. Replaced coolant cap, coolant overflow tank, new hose for coolant tank, coolant hose that inserts into rear of engine, stand pipe and bypass valve.

2 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2013 Ford Escape

Failure Date: 12/01/2019

2013 Ford Escape has been stalling out when at low rpms, for example, pulling out of a parking stall in reverse and then switching to drive, car will stall out. It sputters, then dies out. I switched out the high pressure fuel filter and also the low pressure sensor with oem parts and still happens. It doesn't happen often but I noticed that when I'm doing errands and having to turn on/off the vehicle several times in the day it will eventually start doing this. After switching those parts mentioned above now I have a problem with low mileage. The miles to empty gauge says like 400+ miles when it only actually gave me 190 for the whole tank! that's crazy! I have noticed that fuel gets consumed a lot ! can Ford figure this out? I checked my VIN but my car is not the ones affected but I know it is. Im worried about my safety and the safety of others on the road when driving this vehicle.

3 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2013 Ford Escape

Failure Date: 10/10/2019

Car would have hesitation and stall while idle and check engine light would come on (p1450). Also had vibration from fuel tank and/or fuel cap. Ford dealer said has to due with evaporator purge valve. Said has seen this on lots of Escapes from 2013-2014. This needs to be a recall. My car stalled while driving on the highway with no symptoms beforehand.

4 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2014 Ford Escape

Failure Date: 10/01/2019

My 2014 Ford Escape se, 1. 6l ecoboost SUV. Has a very difficult time restarting when gas is filled at the gas station. The car needs to be reved and then put into drive immediately or it will stall. Once the car has run for about 30 seconds the car will normalize and no longer turn off until the next fill up. This is very dangerous as there have been times when the car has turned off on me while I was attempting to enter an intersection right after the aforementioned procedure. From what I've gathered this is an issue Ford has with the focus model. The issue being the purge valve being stuck and causing to much vacuum in the system. If the gas level gets to low the car will start shuttering and wanting to stall. Additionally, there is a high pitched noise that is coming from the gas fill cap area. This happens when the gas is about a 1/4 of a tank full.

5 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2013 Ford Escape

Failure Date: 11/14/2018

I have a 2013 Ford Escape 2. 0 liter engine. It has been making a buzzing sound from the gas tank for months. Usually after I put gas into it, the vehicle stalls. Now the check engine light is on, the buzzing is worse and the car stalls while driving,. It stalls at any speed. The code is p1450 and everything I've looked at states the no gas cap system is faulty and causing issues. The issue now is a huge safety issue. These cars were recalled for this very issue and why Ford is not fixing this is frustration. The dealership is no help, they just want to start installing parts, etc. Every forum I've looked at says that the parts do not fix the issue. I'm beyond frustrated and scared to drive this car.

7 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2011 Ford Escape

Failure Date: 08/22/2012

Driving down interstate. Suddenly I lost fuel power. Engine remained on. Surges of swaying or ward & backwards prior to loss of fuel power. Resembled like it was out of gas, however I had 3/4 of a tank full. I pulled over, turned off for a few minutes, restarted. Well, it happens a lot now. Had a new fuel filter, GA treatment, new gasoline etc. It happens daily. Finally engine light was on, I took to dealership, they said it was p2111 & p2112. Fuel actuator stuck open, other stuck closed. I am a nurse marketer, single mom I four and I bought thi vehicle new a little over a year ago. I don't have the 700. 00 to have to fix this problem. Nonetheless, I am lucky I haven't been killed yet on the interstate by this problem. I'm having to borrow a cr now. This is unacceptable. A recall needs to be issued. After googling, this has been an ongoing problem with Ford since at least 2004. Does anybody really care about our lives & our children's lives. Let's get this fixed. Ford shoul be ashamed.
