@12:56pm on 2/11/2021, my car suddenly and without warning lost all electrical power, acceleration, lights, pedal/gas completely unresponsive. The time remained on. It was f with no precipitation on dry/partly snowy pavement on highway us31 just s of the north muskegon/business 31 bypass. I was going about 75 mph and adjusted the cruise control to slow for another vehicle shortly before the shutoff. It is not clear if that is related, because the timing was not immediate. I had not changed lanes in more than a mile, although the road does twist slightly in that location. I had on automatic lights, defrost and rear defrost, bluetooth audio, and cruise control. My tank was just below 1/2 full of gas and the vehicle has been maintained but is not stored in a garage overnight. I coasted to an emergency lane on the passing lane, turned the key off (other than the time, audio, and brakes, nothing else would respond. ) I started the car again after about 60 seconds, it started without problem, and I could continue to my vaccine appointment with no discernible signs of any other issue or error. It was terrifying.

-purge valve solenoid replaced twice for evap systen, code 1450 occured 01/05/2021 & 05/14/2021 and -leak in radiator, unknown if blown gasket. Received message “high engine temperature stop safely” with zero radiator flued in tank occured 11/2/202. This has not been repaired but I have been aware of class action law suit related to this issue.

Any time I get gas the car does not start immediately. While driving the car and decelerating it shut off on me. Initially was told it was my remote start until I got gas and the car wouldn't start. While stopped at a light it shut off and took a minute to start back up. While stuck in the middle of an intersection the car began to make a loud noise coming from the gas tank and completely shut off and would not restart.

Notice other Escapes had the same issue as mine when I started googling symptoms my car was having. I heard a humming noise coming from the fuel tank the actual capless intake cover rattles very loudly and continuously until the vehicle is turned off. When gas would get pumped into the car it wouldn't start right away and when it does it idles hard and runs rough along with black smoke coming out of the pipes with an old dead like gas smell. . . . I researched and decided to have a diagnosis done which told me it was the canister purge valve I watched videos where the narrator would have the issue solved but even after I got that worked on the vehicle continued to make the humming noise also continued to drive rough. . . There has been only one situation where my car actually stalled while in drive and in motion. Literally I was turning a corner using my brake after completing the turn I pressed the gas to continue driving and all lights on my dash came on and the vehicle came to a complete stop. It started right back up but I didn't understand what made it cut off. . .

The gas tank is faulty. Suddenly, it will not hold gas. Gas began to pour out after I had filled the tank just a few minutes beforehand. I noticed the gas pouring out when the vehicle was stationary and parked in our garage. There has been no accident or external damage to the car to cause this issue. I read that some 2011 Ford Escapes were recalled for this very issue, but my VIN does not appear in the database and customer service advised that I fill out this form.

Driving down very busy street and vehicle stalled as I pulled up to traffic light and came to a stop. As many as 3-4 times I was almost rear ended while trying to get vehicle started. Problem seemed to only occur when fuel tank is below 1/2 tank and I would notice fuel fill port flapper vibrating and sucking air into fuel tank. The Ford focus has this recall on the canister purge valve, why not on a Ford Escape. Same part used on both. This problem went on for two weeks before I could get vehicle into dealership.

Vehicle has been making loud noises from the fuel tank when driving at slower speeds (20 and under) and when coming to a stop. The rpm goes very low, almost stalling out. Purge valve and canister need to be replaced and are not covered under warranty. The Ford fusion has had a recall on this same exact issue, and my vehicle falls within the years recalled. This seems to be a common problem when speaking with others whose vehicle is around the same year. This is not safe as I had my vehicle in the shop for 3 days and the problem was not able to be located until I was able to capture a video.

After performing the recall the problem continue showing check fuel tank inlet. . In the panel and then checking engine ligth on . . Its been a solid problem for the last few years and Ford should get the rigth way to fix the problem.

My 2013 Ford Escape has been occasionally idling funny when I start it sometimes or when I am at a stop light for some time and begin to go. It will start to putter like it is going to stall and even has stalled a time or two. It seems as if there isn't any fuel getting to the engine but the entire tank is full of gas. The car will putter and be reluctant to accelerate until it starts to go back to normal or stalls out. Once I restart the car and give it gas, it sounds and works normal. This has happened about 3 times now in the last month. There is only $125,000 miles on the car. This should not be a wear and tear issue as I always keep my gas tank no less than a quarter tank. No lights are appearing when this happens. The car just doesn't idle correctly and sounds like it is not getting enough gas or is running out of gas.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph the check engine light illuminated. While examining the failure a diagnostic instrument displayed a diagnostic error code of p1450 which indicated excessive vacuum in the fuel tank. Later while driving the vehicle suddenly stalled. According to your VIN search, my particular vehicle was not a part of the 5 recalls on the year, make and model of my vehicle. Now with that said, 1 recall that is listed, I am having a fuel leak just as it is described but again my VIN is not listed for that recall and it should. Everytime I fill up with gas, and the gas handle clicks to inform that the tank is full, the gas starts to leak very badly from up underneath and this happens everytime.

The vehicle tends to shut down on a hot day when fuel goes below a half a tank. It is consistent with other 2016 Ford Escapes.

When driving vehicle, the distance to "e" gas hands continue to count down while at stop light. Also, from my house to my job which is approximately 17 miles, according to the gas mileage, it shows that I traveled 30+ miles. The next day after purchase September 2018, I noticed a slight slippage to the transmission and took the car back because the warning lights were on and the car would proceed to move at a low speed. I was told the vehicles fluids needed to be changed. The next day the issue persisted, I returned to the dealership again and was told the brakes needed to be replaced. On both occasions the monster dealership handled this. The issue with feeling the transmission jerk continued. May 2019 the transmission failure appeared (codes listed below) it was serviced by a&b transmission. Withing 48 hours the issue returned. It appears as though the transmission overheats after driving short distances. After several attempts from may-July the issue could not be fixed and continues as of today. The delay in reporting is that I had no idea this was here, please advise I would like to resolve this. I have been having trouble with stalling or the car shutting off while driving at low speed of most often, if I have been sitting at a red light, or stop sign and I try to accelerate, the car will stall and lose power and I will have to start it all over again. I have had issues with a check engine light that lights up all the time on the car. It will also say "check fuel fill inlet" when I pump gas. The code reads p0455 which means the engine computer recognizes a large leak in the evaporative emission control system (evap). The vehicle's evap system is sealed, it's main purpose is to prevent gasoline vapors in the fuel tank from escaping into the atmosphere. I am not sure if one of the recalls pertains to this, but this is an ongoing problem for me. So much so, that I have stopped driving the car in fear for my safety and my family.

2014 Ford Escape 4x2 overflow coolant tank causing coolant to leak. 230,000 cars have been repaired by Ford but they will not repair mine without a $230+cost. For some unknown reason my serial number is not covered. Lack of coolant leads to overheating and cracked head gasket. My Escape sel 1. 6l 6 months ago after getting a full tank of gas my car started and then started to shake and stopped. Car would not restart for 10 mins and only if I press the gas pedal to the flood. Call dealership and they said they had not heard of a problem and let them know if it occurred again. My car is stalling making a noise, shaking and then no power just dies. I am scared for my safety. It does it now while I am driving. I have found where there is a recall for the same year built and type car for this issue. Just not for the 1. 6 engine but the 2. 0 engine. I have had the car checked at to car places and they can not find the issue. . . . This car is not safe please help!!!! please look at the nva-215sm 15v-813 agian this happens while I am driving down the road at 45 miles an hour or pulling our from a stop!! I have looked on line an there are at least 40 other complaints about the 2013 Escape 1. 6l stalling while being driven! this is a safety issue!! and clearly the same issue as listed above on the 2013 Escape 2. 0 engine they were made at the same plant in louisville, same year etc. . . I am concerned I will be hit or my car. I can not let me teenager drive this car!!!! help help help.

There is a small gas leak every time I fill my tank up full. The odor is potent and I feel like my safety is at risk whenever I fill my tank up. I smell it while the vehicle is stationary.
