Abs warning light came on/off, and the abs brakes engaged prematurely. Also, there was vibration in the front end when braking. Vehicle had been serviced 3 times. Dealer replaced the rotors once, and abs rear sensor twice. The abs warning light came on again.

While driving, the vehicle's abs light would come on intermittently. The consumer had come in contact with the dealership. The first time the abs light had come there was no unusual effect. The second time the abs light had come, there was a difference in being able to brake smoothly. The third occasion occurred at the light when there were no other vehicles. The vehicle finally stopped and the consumer was able to drive home.
2002 Ford Explorer xls 4wd. At 33,000 miles abs sensor warning light came on & rear abs unit was replaced. Since then the abs unit has failed ever 2,500 to 8,000 miles. I now have 87,000 miles on vehicle.
Brakes have been a problem since December 2000. There has been extended stopping distance. Also, brakes constantly squeaked. Abs light was repaired, but intermittently went on and off. Dealer stated "that abs light being on would not affect brake system". On July 10, 2001, brakes were still squeaking. Consumer left vehicle at dealer's for a month, and dealer stated that rotors were warped, and pads worn out. Dealer resurfaced and replaced pads for both front and rear rotors on Dec-20-2000. Also, dealer replaced pads again on 4-27-2001. On 6-29-2001, brakes had excessive brake dust. Dealer couldn't find problem. On 7-10-2001, dealer test drove and heard squeaking. Dealer cut and replaced rotors. But, problem still exists.

Speed control cable was replaced for recall 99v062000/ manufacturer's 99s09. After vehicle came from dealer abs light came on & stayed on. Abs light didn't come on until speed control cable was replaced.
While driving about 70 mph vehicle start vibrating. Then, felt a pop on the tire where the abs light come on, and consumer kept control of vehicle with firestone tires. Firestone wilderness at p235/75/r15.

Consumer had vehicle new michelin tires, and was serviced for the abs light and two days after work completed vehicle flipped over for no known reason (02-may-00), dealer claims it is no fault of the abs, the vehicle flipped on two other occasions (07-oct-00 and 14-oct-00).
While driving abs light came on, and vehicleexperienced extended stopping distance which resulted in a crash. Currently at the dealer. Please provide further information.

The abs light continues to go on and off, and from time to time driver feels a small vibration.
Anti-lock brake system does not work because abs warning light is illuminated on dash panel. Consumer was told this by dealer.
