The failed component is the roof rail caps. One of mine came off on the car wash. The other roof rail cap keeps coming loose just driving around, I have to check the second roof rail cap so it too does not fly off on the highway or come off in the car wash. I now have just the one roof rail cap and it looks terrible.

Multiple pieces of trim flying off vehicle. As of 6/10, pieces have blown off in the last couple weeks while driving down highway.
We have approximately 37000 miles on our 2017 Explorer. While driving on the interstate yesterday, it began making a near continuous wind vibration sound around the windshield. We stopped several times on our trip trying to determine where the sound was coming from—roof rack, something under hood, trim pieces, windshield support areas?—but we’re never able to find cause or stop the noise. We have an appointment at a Ford dealership later this week.
I am extremely frustrated. I use my car as a second source of income and with the recall I now can't rent out my car through turo as the recall isn't fixed. I don't even have a roof rack! I understand there is an attempt here to fix the issue with the vehicle but the impact is costing me thousands.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Explorer. The contact stated while driving 55 mph, the molding along the passenger’s side windshield and roof detached without incident or impact. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 44,500.
The recall has been put out and the dealership is claiming that the fix of gluing the roof rack covers back on is not sufficient and that a new fix needs to be made. The fix is not available to me and I cannot use the vehicle for work with an open recall. I understand that recalls happen, but the fix should be available immediately upon publishing them.
At 89,000 miles I was going 65 mph headed home when my window pillar flew off just so happen the vehicle behind us didn’t get affected by it. I am reaching out because there should be a recall on this. This is unacceptable for you to even pay for something with a part that will come off. Reach 100,000 popping noise when turning. What’s the issue Ford.
