2 Brake Light On problem

Failure Date: 12/02/2010

The contact owns a 2000 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the abs brake light would illuminate sporadically. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the abs modular needed to be replaced. The dealer advised that the vehicle could be driven, but would have to be driven slow in inclement weather because the module failed. The failure mileage was 70,000 and the current mileage was 143,000.

3 Brake Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/04/2005

At 102,000 miles the anti-lock brake system light came on. I took the vehicle to the Ford dealer and he said the whole anti-lock system had corroded and would have to be replaced to the tune of $1000. This was just after Ford had fixed ball joints and completely rusted emaergency brake cables under extended warranty at 99,900 miles.
