1 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 05/27/2021

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while attempting to stop the vehicle in the driveway, the brake pedal went to the floorboard. The low brake fluid warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the brake fluid was leaking out of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the front brake lines were leaking and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

2 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 07/06/2020

As I was approaching a 4-way intersection, I applied the brakes. It slowed the vehicle down and came to a stop, but as I was waiting at the light the pedal went all the way down to the floor. This is the second bake line that has failed. In the past 6-8 months, the front driver side brake line failed; this time it is the front passenger side.

3 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 06/12/2020

While sitting stopped at a red light when I felt a lite thump on the brake petal then the brake petal went to the floor. No light or warning sounds at all. Pumped petal and brakes were ok. Got home shut off and stepped on petal and it went to floor again. Checked fluid and it was low so I filled up with dot 3 fluid. Then I noticed fluid on driveway on right side near front wheel. Looked under truck and noticed fluid all over. Upon looking further it was coming from the right front brake hose. I think this is a pre-mature failure of the brake hose. I ordered this truck and took delivery in September 2015 and it only has 64,000 miles on it. The thing that scares me most is I just got done driving back from florida to NJ towing my wifes 2018 Ford escape on a tow dolly. God if that happened towing we would have had an accident. I know their is a recall for the master cyl. That just came out 6/2020 but I think you should look into their brake hoses also. I will be taking it to the Ford dealer in the morning (all american Ford point pleasant NJ 08742) (6/15/2020) and want them to fix the bad hose and change all the rubber brake hoses. I do not feel safe now that 1 hose blew out in only 4yrs 9 mos. I do have an extended warranty so that should be covered. I have owned several new vehicles in my life time and never had a brake hose blow out like this. . . . . I'm 67 yrs old.

4 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2019

Ruptured brake line. Pedal went soft to floor, luckily happened at a stop light.

5 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2019

Vehicle had a sudden and near complete loss of brake capability. The sudden failure was noted about 1 hour after previous, in which the vehicle had no issues and no warning lights were active. Brake pedal went down to the floor and the "low brake fluid" light came on and war ning sounded from the console. Brakes provided minimal response and largely had to slow down by coasting. No external leaks were visible from the vehicle not did any of the brake lines appear to be damaged. When I checked under the hood, the brake fluid reserve was below the "min" line. Topping it off with brake fluid it did not resolve the problem and the level went back to below "min" after about a 4 mile drive. Taking vehicle to dealership this evening to ascertain cause of sudden failure.

6 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 02/24/2018

Front left brake line ruptured, resulting in loss of brake fluid, depresses brake pedal goes to the floorboard. No stopping power. Backing out of driveway on this occasion. No accident. Same line on right front ruptured less than a year ago, exact same result. Luckily no accident but was at a stop light on a major highway when pedal when straight to floor.
