The vehicle appears to be using an excessive amount of oil and after operating for periods of time, the smell of burnt oil is apparent. Vehicle has less than 14,000 miles; there are no visible leaks, no visible damage or defect to the oil pan, and no visible defect or damage to the quick drain assembly. Vehicle oil was at maximum threshold one month ago and is now at lower eyelet of the dip stick indicator. Intelligent oil life indicator states that oil life is at 65%.
My 2020 Ford F-150 5. 0l v8 has an excessive oil consumption problem. The day I took it to get it's very first oil change (January 2021), before I drove it to the dealership to get changed, I checked the oil level and it was low. It only had 5k miles on it. They changed the oil and topped it off. When I checked it yesterday (February 19th, 2021), it was reading half full on the dipstick, with 6,600 miles on the vehicle.

Excessive oil consumption. I have already had the service applied from the technical bulletin, but not much relief from the loss of oil. I have to add at least a quart half way between oil changes. I would likely lose 2 quarts or more between oil changes in total. I have barely 5000 miles, fix applied at 2500 miles. At 5100 miles already over a quart low. Mostly city driving. Some pulling of smaller RV trailer. Trailer weight is 5800 pounds.
Oil consumption engine using at least 2 quarts of oil every 1500 t0 2000 miles since I bought this vehicle I have changed the oil twice and each time it goes threw 2 plus quarts within 1500 t0 2000 miles of being changed. . Added 5w20 synthetic oil each time 4 to 5 qts. Since having the truck. Mileage now 14,230 this is not acceptable for a new engine!.
Oil consumption on the 5. 0 liter v8 engine. The engine is consuming oil without evidence of an oil leak. Ford has a TSB for this 19-2365 which covers year model 2018-2020. There are other tsbs for older year models with this same engine. Ford says less than 1 quart of oil consumed in 3000 miles or less is normal. Their fix is a longer and wider dip stick and a software update. This does not fix the oil consumption. There is a problem with the design of the engine block within the cylinders.
Excessive oil consumption. I am a quart low at just under 2000 mi. Timing chain rattle during deceleration when cold. Warped dash panel passenger side.
Excessive oil consumption in first 500 miles (used 2 quarts) 5. 0 liter engine.
This new trucks, which was purchased in January of 2019, 5. 0 liter engine used 2. 5 quarts of engine oil in the first 3500 miles. The truck is currently undergoing an oil consumption test at my expense.

Ford attempts fix: technical service bulletin 2. 7l ecoboost - excessive white or blue smoke from the exhaust at start up after a cold soak TSB 19-2188 issue is not resolved.
I took my truck to oil change next day I noticed some smoke from the hood, I think, is just some oil spill somewhere and it is all. But the smoke keep appearing every morning, I start using the heat and the smell of oil burning was inside, so I stopped and check what is going on I don't see anything, so I decided to take back to the dealership so they can check what is going on, before I make to the dealership the engine light starts blinking and the truck shaking when I get there I splain everything to the guys, they check everything and tell me the turbo has a like. They supported getting the truck fixed on next week, let's see how everything turns.

Excessive oil consumption approximately one quart per 1000-1500 miles.
Bought the truck new August 28, 2018 at 6000 miles the truck consumed 3 1/2 quarts of oil yes that's 6000 miles since then the trucks had an excessive oil usage still hasn't been fixed 15 months later it's burned over 2 gallons of oil and 26,000 miles Ford replace the engine and it's burning more oil now than it ever has it burned 2 quarts of oil in 1500 miles.
I purchased a Ford f150 truck with 65,000 miles from a Ford dealer. After monitoring the engine oil over the first 3 months I took it to the Ford dealer 2 times for an engine oil consumption test. This truck uses 1 quart of oil per thousand miles being driven. It does not leak oil, it burns it. After contacting my local Ford dealer as well as Ford motor company, they stated that this is "normal. " this is not normal for a 2006 vehicle. In a time when the united states is concerned with global warming, this vehicle is producing emissions that are way out of the ordinary. I will be stuck with a vehicle that cannot pass emissions tests when they become mandatory in this area. If you are not the agency to contact, please refer me to said agency.

While driving to work at 5:30 am, a load noise came from the engine compartment. The truck would barely run and required a tow, the dealer ship said that the spark plug had ejected from the engine due to stripped threads in the block. Also I have complained about the truck losing oil and the smell of burned oil on an off since I purchased the truck in 2000. The dealership could never find a problem. The leak is now worse with oil on the garage floor for the past year and the smell of burned oil more often. I suspect the head gasket from reading other reports on the internet.

Noticed a smell of burnt motor oil at right side front on 11/9/2002. Check all fluid levels. They were ok went to auto dealer where I bought the truck Monday morning 11/11/2002. Mechanic check the truck out and found out the head gasket leaking oil. He said he has replaced several of these type head gaskets(most of the time rightside) on the 5. 4 engines from 1999 to present. The truck is out of manufactors warranty being that is older that 3 years. Ford company knows there is a problem and they should have to repair the truck free of charge. I am glad that I purchased an extended warranty. But it is not fair for the company that I purchased the warranty to pay for this. I have to pay the first $50. Oo and that is not right also. The dealer has started repairing the truck as soon as they found the problem and the warranty company said it was ok to the repairs. I have not complaints with the dealer doing the repairs. They have always given me very good service. Dt.
I noticed the smell of hot or burning oil every time I stop. I had a mechanic check for the problem. He told me I had a leaking head gasket on the right rear side of the engine. I feel it could cause a fire. Nhtsa has bultns sb620275, sb612444, sb612291 help! Ford won't fix without great cost.
Vehicle burns too much oil. Consumer thinks that vehicle has burned oil. But, when taken to dealer, dealer told her that there was no oil leak, but they will look into it.
While driving, consumer could smelled oil burning. Contacted dealership and took vehicle in. Mechanic checked vehicle and informed owner that head gaskets had blown. Head gaskets replaced.
Burns up to 1 1/2 between oil changes and can smell oil burning 10 days after oil change but can't smell it all the time. Can't see any oil leak.
While driving consumer could smell burning oil from the head gasket at all times.
The driver smells burning oil due to the right rear cylinder head leaking. Yh.

Engine burned up oil, but was not leaking. Would put approximately 2 quarts of engine oil in vehicle. This caused engine to smoke. Took vehicle to mechanic who failed to locate the cause of the problem. Took vehicle to another dealership & mechanic claimed "o" ring seals may have caused the problem.
Oil leaking from head gaskets, causing burned oil smell, drips on exaust, smokes also, scared of fire hazard.
