The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 2 mph, the front driver side air bag deployed independently. The driver suffered minor injuries as a result of deployment. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they were unable to diagnose the failure yet the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number: 11v107000 (air bags: frontal: driver side inflator module). The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 100,000.

Drivers side air bag indicator light, comes on/stays on/then sometimes goes off. Ford dealer says airbag will probably not work in crash / needs to be replaced.
