1 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 2013 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 08/28/2022

4wd solenoid and actuator malfunction to engage and disengage 4wd at will without using the 4wd button causing damage to both solenoid, actuator and wheel hubs which cause issues with driving and using 4wd on the vehicle safely. This is known issue with 2003-2020 model f150 (non raptor models) as well as expedition. There is no warnings or messages to alert the driver of any issues that are happening until it's too late and the hub is grinded down causing wheel issues then.

2 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 2007 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 02/20/2013

Had a bad miss at highway speeds and limped home 15 miles. Replaced spark plugs and in the process broke two in the head. One did not break completely off (#4) and I needed to borrow a prototype tool from lisle tool corp. Removed and replaced plugs following Ford procedures. Truck still had a miss. Replaced all eight coil packs which fixed the problem. Total cost$380. 00. Truck down for 6 days awaiting tools and parts. Developed a vibration at highway speeds. Original tires(pirelli) were separating. Replaced tires(976. 00), much better. Still have slight vibration at highway speeeds. Found left front hub bearing seeping grease and feels stiff. Awaiting parts to do repairs. (98. 00) had a transmission shudder at light load in overdrive. Flushed transmission with bg products and flush machine. Added new trans fluid and conditioner. Transmission now shudders at all speeds when hot. Will order new filter and replace. Will add friction modifier and try again. Have to tow another vehicle this weekend and am afraid to do so. I am completely blown away that these problems could happen to any vehicle starting at 48,000 miles. All maintenance has been performed with top of the line products. Have been a Ford owner all my life and am completely dis-satisfied with the performance of this supposed number one selling truck. The sticker prices of these trucks should be a bunch less since cheaply produced chinese parts are so prevalently used. Not happy.

3 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 2006 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 07/21/2010

Loud screeching noises from the front end. It happened several times and I took it to an out of town dealership because I was over 125 miles from home. It seems a 4 year old truck with 69k miles had to have both hub assemblies replaced, both actuators and both valve assemblies. Mechanic stated that he's had to replace over 25 Ford F-150 trucks for the same defect (his words).

5 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 1999 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 03/01/2002

The driver's and passenger's side exterior mirrors are losing their reflectivity. This is clearly a factory defect and presents a serious safety hazard to the driver of the vehicle and passengers of the vehicle. Ford motor company and the local Ford dealership have both refused to recall the mirrors or to provide financial assistance to repair the mirrors. The dealership has acknowledge the fact that there is a problem with these mirrors, but Ford motor company has not issued a recall on them.

6 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 1999 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 03/01/1999

The drivers side mirror (remote controlled type)vibrates at highway speeds causing rear viewed vehicle lights at night to bounce all over the place creating a dangerous situation. Dealer replaced mirror three times to no avail. Stated "Ford knows about it, but has no fix, why not complain to the dsb". There is nothing I can do for it until Ford acknowledges it as a defect and issues a TSB to us". Okay I filled out the dsb form and a factory rep came and looked at it and stated: "98% of all f150's with these mirrors vibrate". "there is nothing I can do for you. " issue is still pending before the dsb. Ford's only TSB ref this issue says check tire pressure and/or bug deflectors. Both of these were looked at, still shakes. Ford has a design problem between the door/mirror combination. And the passenger side mirror does not move at all.
