The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. While driving 65 mph, unknown warning indicators flashed on the instrument panel. Also, the heating gauge was high and the vehicle overheated. When the vehicle was parked, the gauge returned to the normal range. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. The failure persisted and the vehicle was towed to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired, but the dealer provided the contact with a cold weather front/grill. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 106,000.

Every one and a half mile vehilce smells hot. Could cause vehicle to overheat or catch on fire.
Vehicle was leaking anti-freeze. Prior to leakage, vehicle was overheating. Took to mechanic, and informed consumer that could not locate where leakage was located after checking pressure. Drove vehicle second time, and problem was discovered in timing chain cover gasket. Mechanic finally repaired problem. Consumer was informed by a parts manager that this was a recall, however this vehicle was not included because it was built at the end of the year.
