Car Accelerates On Its Own Problems of Ford F-250

Tl the contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. After starting the engine and shifting into first gear, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration and the speed exceeded 30 mph. The contact indicated that the failure occurred on multiple occasions and only occurred after the engine was cold started. The vehicle was taken to longmont Ford (235 alpine st, longmont, CO) where the failure was duplicated, but the cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,500.

Before the v8 gasoline engine reaches some prescribed operating temperature ( before the engine is fully warmed up ), when headed downhill, no low gears function in any mode and the engine experiences sudden unintended acceleration. The truck was purchased new in 2018. The Ford company has repeatedly acknowledged the defects, and however claims that all 2018 gasoline powered f250s are designed that way to meet certain standards and therefore everything is fine despite being extremely dangerous in certain circumstances. The contact owns a 2003 Ford f250 superduty. While attempting to decelerate with the brakes engaged, the contact stated that the vehicle suddenly accelerated without warning. He was able to shift the vehicle into neutral when he noticed that the engine made a roaring noise. He turned the vehicle off, restarted it and it performed normally. The contact did not inform the dealer or manufacturer nor was the failure diagnosed or the vehicle repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 116,000.

2004 Ford f250 super duty diesel at 11:30 pm had un intended acceleration while traveling in the fog. The vehicle simply took off wide open while in a curve without my foot on the gas pedal at all. The consumer experienced sudden acceleration and about 30% of the time the vehicle would not slow down once the consumer's foot was removed form the accelerator.
