Ford F-250 owners have reported 6 problems related to fuel delivery (under the gasoline fuel system category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The trucks engine will completely stall when the fuel tank is low on fuel and the truck comes to a quick stop such as a red light or at an intersection. The truck will also stall when the fuel tank is low on fuel and the truck is slowing down or stopping on a decline. The stalled truck must be stopped, the transmission must be put back into "park," and the vehicle restarted before proceeding with travels. On two occasions, the truck has stalled unexpectedly in an intersection, nearly resulting in a collision from vehicles following too closely behind. The stalling does not occur when the trucks fuel tank level is above a quarter tank and the vehicle is brought to a quick stop, or slowed and/or stopped while heading down a decline.

Ihav egone to the dealership service department several times and asked for assistance with these problems. I have gotten no support from them. I have taken it in severn times and filled two dispute settelment claims. I am still waiting to hear from them, I feel we bought a thirty five thousand dollar headache! please help me to get this truck repaired or replaced. I feel we have given peninsula Ford every opportunity to do the right thing, but they seem to not want to now that they have their money. I would not feel right selling this vehicle to someone, knowing that sooner or latter it will cause an accident, thanks for listening/helping. No safety defect listed. (tiresize: 235/85r16).

Fuel line routing on top of engine allowed an abrasion hole in a pressurized feed line. The routing of the fuel feed line was too close to the feed line on one of the cylinder fuel injection lines. A 3/8 high pressure line developed a hole and fed fuel to top of engine intake manifold valley. This engine has a turbo charged injection and fuel came incontact with hot componets. The dealer fixed the symptom of the leak by brazing the hole close with metal flux. The root problem of too close of fuel line routing was not addressed, therefore leading to a potential under the hood fire. I do not know if this problem is related to only this vehicle or the 7. 3l series motor from from Ford for the F-250 trucks. Secondly, as an aviation repair technician, I do not feel a fix of this type on a high pressure fuel line should be the proper repair action, the line should be replaced. The root cause of the abrasion thru the line should be addressed.

Fuel was spraying out at an alarming rate.
The emergency brake cable was routed incorrectly, which caused it to rub against the left rear tire, and becoming completely exposed. Dealer diagnosed the retainer bracket was not installed and corrected. Dealer service dept. Then routed cable under the left rear leaf spring which was rubbing the cable again, and caused exposure. . The fuel gauge sender was replaced.
