I just picked up my Ford F-250 (2022) from allstar Ford in prairieville, la. It will have been 3 weeks since I had my truck towed to this dealer! on Tuesday [xxx] my truck stalled in heavy traffic and was able to glide off [xxx] in baton rouge and same to a dead stop at the end intersection. I blocked traffic for 30 minutes until truck started and was able to get out of traffic! my Ford pass app text a message to me that my fuel pump module had failed. Dealer could not diagnose a failure and after 3 weeks I finally went and picked it up. They did offer to replace the fuel pump for $1700. 00 as my 100,000 warranty could not be applied because dealer diagnostics could not recognize the fault??? truck has 72,000 mile on it!! so now I am driving around in a vehicle that could stall at any time, without any notice. Now what do I do?? information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C.

2014 Ford f250. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle acceleration issues. The consumer stated from the very beginning, the vehicle needed to be accelerated to approximately 133 rpm in low gear to even move down a slight slope. It would only achieve 10. 6 to 11. 4 mpg of fuel regardless of city or highway driving. At approximately 5400 miles, the vehicle developed a very slight shimmy at a speed of 60 mph. On March 7 2014, while driving 75 mph. The consumer had to brake to reduce his speed to 60-65 mph because of traffic ahead, and when he did, the front end of the vehicle started to violently shake to the point, where he could barely control it.

Egr and oil cooler broken with under 53,000 miles and only two months after purchasing from dealer. Ford refuses to accept responsibility even though they sued the engine maker navistar (International) for a defective engine and won. Ford refuses to help a first time and now last time customer. Please recall these 6. 0 diesel engines . Enough is enough.

2006 F-250 sd 6. 0 diesel engine. A fuel leak onto the engine developed due to a degraded o-ring where the fuel pressure regulator assembly attaches to the engine mounted fuel filter. The leakage was estimated at 6 drops per minute when the engine was running. The housing and o-ring are subject to approximately 45 psig and are on the upper section of the engine. The leak was detected due to strong odor of unburned diesel fumes coming in the hvac system when stopped at a light and at the front exterior of the truck just after shutting the engine off. The dealer stated and my own research on internet forumns indicated this is a common issue. Under the wrong circumstances this could be a fire hazard and at best is an issue with environmental impact to some degree. The dealer is making this repair at my expense.
The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-250 sd. While driving approximately 5 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle but the vehicle continued to stall intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics where the technician advised that the fuel sensor would need replacing. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
Check engine light came on - thought it was bad sealing gas cap. It wasn't. Took to Ford dealer and they ended up replacing fuel carbon filter at fuel fill area - said it was fouled with gasoline. They don't know how it could happen and it probably would not happen again. This was a no charge, under warranty fix.

Intermittently between 35 mph and 85 mph, the vehicle will start to shudder for 5-15 seconds and during this time, sometimes will be accompanied by loss of throttle. It generally happens during or shortly thereafter a regen / cleanining exhaust filter message appears. The "shudder" could also be described as a "lugging" sensation. After confirming this problem with a vehicle data recorder, Ford's response to my dealer was "do not attempt repairs at this time, engineering is investigating. ".

While driving home from work today during a rain storm in rush hour (I'm traveling at 10mph top), my engine suddenly lost power and sounded as if it had lost the muffler, except the sound was coming from the engine compartment. Because of the rain, it wasn't as loud as the last time it happened three years ago, but I knew what had happened thanks to my prior experience. I pulled over immediately and exited the highway. Once the rain stopped, I was sure what had happened. There is no reason for this occurring at all, but to have it happen twice! there is seriously something wrong with the design in Ford's engines (mine is a 5. 4 v8, F-250. ) I see all the reports of the same problem on the internet and it mentions the fact that there is the possibility of engine compartment fires. When it happened to me the first time, I was told by the dealership I should be able to drive it in for service, so I did. And I did so again today, taking the backroads. Only later this evening, while researching the problem, did I discover the danger. Please apply pressure to Ford to correct this problem before someone is seriously injured. And since this is a costly repair that I feel is caused by poor design, it should not be placed on the burden of Ford customers who pay thousands of dollars for their vehicles in the first place.
