The contact stated that windshield wiper motor malfunctioned not long after he purchased the vehicle. He later found NHTSA recall 01v258000 concerning windshield wiper/ washer motor. After contacting the manufacturer, he was told that the recall work had already been completed on this vehicle by the previous owner. He stated that the windshield wiper washer motor gear case cover began to burn, almost causing his entire truck to catch on fire if he had not seen it in time. Afterwards, he contacted the manufacturer again and told him what had happened. They were unwilling to help with the repairs because it was already covered under the recall. He felt that if the recall had been repaired correctly then why was this problem happening again with the wiper motor gear cover.
