Door Hinge Problems of Ford F-350

The contact owns a 2004 Ford f350 superduty. As the contact was getting into the vehicle, the running board that is attached to the driver side door completely detached. He sustained a bruised ankle as a result. The current mileage was 43,635 and the failure mileage was unknown.

The contact stated the inside passenger side door will not open. When trying to open the door the handle would break. The door handle was replaced twice by a local mechanic. The mechanic did not know why this was happening.

Passenger door opened while doing a 360 degree spin. Passenger was holding grab handle on pillar and drivers arm. Door snapped forward and jammed into right fender. Both hinges may be cracked. Dealer`s response was for me to report to my insurance company that I had an accident. We struck nothing at all. Dealer says they have no responsability to repair anything. We feel that a door latch assembly failed under normal use there was no impact with anything.

Driver side door molding is separating from the body of the vehicle and coming in contact with "the front fender". The contact of the molding to the fender is causing an obstruction that causes the door to be inoperative. Driver is unable to open the door.
