On October 16, 2014 my truck was damaged due to tread separation on a bf goodrich – all terrain t/a ko, lt 285 / 65r20 tire (dot be3f uh11 0912), sold by discount tire company in odessa, TX. My truck is a black 2012 Ford, F-350 super duty, fx4, lariat (VIN – ift8w3bt7cea56308). 1. While driving on I-10 traveling east ~67mph I felt a sudden bumping of one of my tires as I reduced my speed the tread separated from the tire and wrapped around the rear axle of my truck causing damage to my truck. The tire was still inflated and I pulled over to the shoulder of the road. But the damage was so severe that the truck had to be towed. 2. The tire did not blow out, it stayed inflated until it was removed from the wheel (rim) by the body shop to be replaced. 3. The tire and tread was taken to discount tire (as requested by aaa) to be shipped to michelin for examination, but was destroyed by discount tire (mr. Doug mccollum - store manager txh 34).
