1 Electrical System problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/06/2026

Charging system fault. Caused multiple error messages like forward camera not available, collision avoidance not available. Then radio goes black and reboots. Several cycles later the dash board goes dark. No speed or rpm anything visible for 5-10 secs, and on some reboots this dark dash lasted 30 seconds. Thankfully while traveling at midnight the head lights and tail lights remain on, just no interior lights during these reboots. New batteries made no difference.

2 Electrical System problem of the 2024 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/16/2026

I purchased 2, 2024 f350 super duty's for our highway dept. The camera systems on both trucks failed. This includes the backup camera and forward facing camera. I found a recall notice (24s66) for this exact problem affecting 2024 f350's. I brought mine to the dealership and was informed that my VIN was not included in the recall. The repair would cost $1,200. A check of the second trucks VIN was not included either. I will be filing another report for that truck as well. Thanks, [xxx] superintendent of highways town of cairo [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

6 Electrical System problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/03/2026

While flat towing my 2022 Ford f?350 behind a motorhome using Ford’s neutral tow mode procedure, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic transmission failure. The Ford dealer documented this clearly on the service invoice: “happened while the vehicle was flat towed. ” after the tow, the truck had severe slipping, delayed engagement, high rpm with no movement, and a wrench light. The dealer confirmed fault codes p0741, p1744, and p27b4. The dealer found catastrophic internal damage: “fluid is burnt with metal debris… filter is packed with metal debris… torque converter has came apart and filled transmission with metal debris… it is catastrophic failure. ” these components are available for inspection. The dealer also documented a low battery condition: “batteries. Low state of charge. ” Ford’s neutral tow mode relies on electronic control modules that require stable voltage, but Ford provides no warning that low voltage can cause the transfer case to exit neutral tow mode. This creates a safety risk because the transmission can be rotated internally without lubrication while being towed, which can lead to sudden drivetrain lockup or loss of control. The problem was confirmed by the Ford dealer, and the vehicle was fully inspected by them. The only warning symptom occurred after towing: wrench light, slipping, and no movement. There were no warnings during the tow itself. This failure mode is not disclosed by Ford and cannot be detected or prevented by the owner.

8 Electrical System problem of the 2020 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 03/07/2026

Vehicle produced symptoms over time: loss of Ford pass connectivity, inconsistent turn signal function, occasional dashboard alarm for open driver door while driving, unwarranted security alarm triggers when still at home. Second to last incident was an unwarranted security alarm that triggered, and was unable to be stopped by use of the security controls (lock/unlock, alarm key button). Horn "wore out" as if fuse burned. Disconnected battery to stop. Two days later, after reconnecting the battery I drove the vehicle, horn was not functional, and I was unable to stop the engine. Once started, the vehicle did not turn off, even with key completely removed from ignition switch. This was repeatable, every ignition cycle, thereafter. I drove to the dealer, that morning. The dealer mechanic was required to shut off the engine. Dealer mechanic diagnosed failed battery junction box. After repair, mechanic diagnosed faulty body control module. Dealer mechanic also recommended replacement of full "main" wiring harness, interconnecting the two. The cause for all failures was corrosion and electrical shorts due to water ingress. I am aware Ford has issued numerous tsbs and recalls for faulty bcms, in the same age range as this vehicle. Also, tsbs for water intrusion into the bcm. The mechanic took photos of corrosion on both the bcm and main wiring harness. My prior vehicle was a 2011 Ford f-150, with the same 6. 2l engine. No such faults were experienced up to Nov. 2023 sale. Photos of the corrosion on main wiring harness and bcm attached. Dealer has possession of the vehicle. Repairs in progress. Ford has declined support for faulty components; recalls not associated with this vehicle. Estimated repairs to date on 6 year old vehicle on critical electronics in excess of $7,000.

9 Electrical System problem of the 2024 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 02/24/2026

I own the 2024 f350 dually truck and regularly tow heavy trailers for commercial transport under dot regulations. I have experienced repeated intermittent failures involving the truck’s trailer brake and trailer lighting system. While towing, the truck intermittently displays warning messages on the dashboard such as “trailer brake module fault” and “trailer light module fault. ” when this occurs, the trailer’s right rear brake light stops functioning, and at times the trailer braking system stops working entirely. This issue occurs sporadically and without warning. The trailer may function normally at the start of a trip and then lose lighting or braking capability during operation. One notable pattern is that when I shut the truck off and restart it, the faults clear and the trailer brakes and lights begin working again. This suggests the issue may be related to the truck’s trailer brake or trailer lighting control module resetting rather than a defect in the trailer itself. Because of the repeated failures, I inspected and repaired my trailer multiple times. I have: replaced the affected trailer light inspected and checked all trailer wiring and connectors verified the trailer braking system and wiring integrity despite these steps, the problem continues to occur. I have taken the truck to a Ford dealership multiple times, and they have stated the issue is with the trailer. However, the trailer has been inspected and repaired, and the problem still persists. I recently became aware of a recall affecting Ford trucks related to the trailer brake control module and trailer lighting system, which appears to mirror the exact symptoms I am experiencing. This issue presents a serious safety hazard. When the malfunction occurs: trailer brake lights may not function properly trailer brakes may stop working drivers behind me may not be aware the vehicle is slowing or stopping because I regularly tow heavy trailers, loss of trailer braking and lighting creates a significant.

10 Electrical System problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 02/11/2026

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350 sd. While driving at an undisclosed speed and hauling a trailer, there was a delay with the trailer brakes before the trailer brakes engaged, causing the braking distance to be extended. Occasionally, the trailer brakes failed to engage, causing the electric brakes to activate and stop the vehicle. The contact became aware of NHTSA campaign number: 25v132000 (electrical system) on the NHTSA. Gov website, which referenced a similar failure. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The dealer informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer opened a case for the failure; however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 94,000.

Synce 4 infotainment center with loose connection to phone causing phone to connect and disconnect and become statickey while driving. Ford dealerships when contacted do not have a fix and two dealers have said its a very common issue but no fix for it. Safety risk is that while you think your hands free on the phone when it goes in and out of connection can cause a major distraction while driving. I have had two dealers provide feedback that this is an issue but not one that has a fix that they can do. It has not been inspected by police or insurance agent there is no warning lamps that have gone off.

21 Electrical System problem of the 2016 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 07/07/2025

The junk cab mounts deteriorate so fast the cab settles and crushes the wiring harness causing many electrical issues. There are many forums that talk about bad cab mounts and what components to use to repair them, but in my opinion this is a Ford issue.

22 Electrical System problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 07/02/2025

1 month ago my vehicle intermittently would not shut off. You could hit the start/stop button and from all dash board appearances the truck was off, but the truck was still running. I resorted to pulling a circuit breaker to get the truck off. I found NHTSA 10226938 and replaced the battery junction box as prescribed. This fixed the vehicle for a few weeks, but now the issue is back. There is no water intrusion in the bsb junction box.

23 Electrical System problem of the 2020 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 07/01/2025

The connectors (part #1 huzz-14s411-hb) and (part #2 huzz-14s411-fa) are located in on the frame of the truck where the back wheels throw water towards when driving on wet terrain. They tend to hold water which causes electrical damage. This is happening on multiple Ford trucks from 2020 - current models. This is causing tail light, ac, radio and other failures to occur.

24 Electrical System problem of the 2015 Ford F-350

The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and advised the dealer not conti.

29 Electrical System problem of the 2015 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/19/2025

The back up camera on my f350 froze the image on the screen as I was backing up, and I didn’t realize that I had backed into my daughter’s car. I ripped my fender off and wedged my tires up underneath her crv there was no warning and I didn’t realize there was a recall on it because I hadn’t gotten anything in the mail. I did it my own driveway so I didn’t call the police and I haven’t turned on insurance yet. I wanted to see what I needed to do.

30 Electrical System problem of the 2024 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/15/2025

Fan clutch failure at 34,000 miles, new clutch installed, fan clutch failure again at 47,000 miles. Causes unpredictable accelerations, delayed reaction and poor driveability. Ford did not honor warranty for first fan clutch as when they could service it, the truck was over 36,000 miles. No warning lights or other indicators, extreme engine noise when driving.

31 Electrical System problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/03/2025

My back rear view camera quit working immediately about 4 or 4 weeks ago. I tried to see if I had a loose wire but. One seemed loose or broken. I only have a blue screen. My rear facing camera over the cab stop light works fine if the switch is pushed. Now I have noticed there are thousands of Ford vehicles already recalled for rear camera issues. However when I called my dealership I was told I’m not on the recall list. As far as I can tell it’s because my Ford f350 is a 2022 built in July of 2021. I hate to say it but I believe the recall needs to be expanded. As I’m sure there are a whole lot more vehicles with this rear camera issues. Please take this case into consideration and hopefully get it included in the recall.

32 Electrical System problem of the 2024 Ford F-350

Driver and passenger traveling on [xxx] when white smoke came out of dash. Turned onto [xxx] and stopped. Driver and passenger exited truck and opened hood as smoke was becoming more visible and fire started from under dash. Passenger called 911while driver used fire extinguisher and attempted unsuccessfully to put out flames as they kept restarting. As the flames increased they heard "popping and banging" noised coming from the truck so they retreated to a safe distance and waited for the fire department. The fire grew to where the cab was fully engulfed in flames before the fire department arrived. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

33 Electrical System problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/29/2025

My truck is only 3 years old. However about 3 months ago I noticed my rear view camera quit working. I only get a black or blue screen. Every other camera still works. I know there are over 1 million Ford vehicles with this exact same issue that are under a recall. I would like to know why mine is not. I do not think it is fair I have to pay to repair an issue that’s covered by over 1 million other Ford vehicles.

34 Electrical System problem of the 2014 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/09/2025

Since my vehicle has been in warranty I've had intermittent issues where my vehicle loses track of what gear its in and forces downshift to 1st gear. For the most part this only happened when I was going slower speeds. I told my Ford dealer about it but they said there were no recalls for it. On Wednesday while driving at highway speeds my dash lights indicating the transmission position began to flicker then my vehicle downshifted to first gear locking up the tires and screeching me to a near halt.

35 Electrical System problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/03/2025

Minor issue started during heavy rain last week, went out in morning and power steps would not function. After starting, the rear sliding window opened and would not shut. Researched solution and reset the steps in the computer. Let truck sit for 5 hours at work (not raining) and apparently circuit dried out and window was able to close. Fast forward to Thursday night (4/1), flood rains had started. On the way home from work, the rear sliding window started opening again by itself, but was able to close it with the switch. It did this several times. Went out to start the truck Friday evening and all I got was flickering lights that dimmed when the start button was pushed. No controls worked. By saturrday morning, there was no lights or any control. All electronics are non-functional. I checked and the batteries are fully charged, so it is not a battery/alternator problem - I expect water has infiltrated into the electronics/computer. Luckily, this short out did not happen on the whole system while I was driving.
