I need a wiring harness for my reverse camera on my f350. There are 0 parts available as this is a known issue with these trucks as is the in cab portion of this harness. I've talked to multiple dealers and Ford themselves and there is no intent to make this part, which means my reverse camera will no longer function. Part number fc3z-14a412-a.

3 Wiring problem of the 2016 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 02/05/2019

Referenced Ford had the driver's side airbag deploy while vehicle was parked in a heated garage overnight. There was no key in the ignition. We do not have a time frame for how long it was parked before deployment. After this deployment found that the truck no longer had power to start the vehicle or any dashboard indicators/gauges working. The headlights would come on/off randomly till battery is completely dead while parked and switch was in the off position. Spoke with the dealership and they said it would take up to 6 months to repair. I decided to see if I was able to track down the problem myself. While working on the truck my dog happened to jump into the truck and all the lights came back on. I told him to get out and as he was getting down he made contact with the driver's side foot well cover and all the lights went back out. Upon removing the foot well cover I immediately found broken and charred wiring to include the airbag wires being compromised. The area of concern is where the foot well cover and the driver's side kick well panel come together just below and to the left of the parking brake. They use the open space below the foot well cover to run the wires to various different parts of the vehicle. Speaking with kendall Ford dealership in wasilla alaska, he informed me that the wire being chaffed/broken and charred was a normal wear and tear part and that Ford would not repair it or replace the airbag. Really felt like they did not want to even talk to me.

5 Wiring problem of the 2017 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/01/2018

I'm April of 2018 the electric tailgate on my 2017 Ford F-350 started opening on its own anytime and anywhere. It did not matter if the truck was in park or in gear but did not open at speeds above 10 mph or so. After going to the Ford dealership in elkhart in. I was told there was nothing that could be done because if they unhooked the wiring l could not open the tailgate. I pull a 5th wheel trailer with the truck so this was not an option if l wanted a tailgate. I tried to watch the best l could before taking off to make sure the tailgate was closed when l would move the truck. I did not notice that it had come down again and made a turn with the trailer hooked to the truck. Needless to say the tailgate was crushed beyond use and broke a twilight lens at the same time. Again l went to the Ford dealership in elkhart in and was told they had no reports of problems and there was nothing they could do about it. The tailgate has not been replaced do to the fact l am sure there is still an is sure.

6 Wiring problem of the 2015 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/14/2018

Truck is less than 3 years old and recently serviced at Ford dealership. After recent service the truck wouldn't start. When the truck was checked both large factory installed batteries had catastrophic failure leading to battery acid corrosion destroying wiring, potential the the braking system and other electronics that were exposed to battery acid and corrosion. There is tremendous damage to the truck and a large chemical spill from the acid. Dealership quoted over $1800 in damages. Truck was a fire and chemical hazard because the failure was hidden by a factory cover, a huge copper cable was free to arc and could have ignited the battery or caused a dangerous electical fire.

7 Wiring problem of the 2017 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/06/2017

The 2017 Ford superduty trucks have a remote tailgate release in the lariat and king ranch models. The tailgate of my truck and others have dropped without action from the user. This makes these vehicles unsafe when carrying cargo that is only secured by the tailgate or when towing 5th wheel trailers. Mine has dropped some 16 times since November. Apparently Ford dealers are universally blaming the operators for accidentally pushing the tailgate button twice on the fob. However, I had an accident on may 6th, when I could not have pushed the button on the fob. The tailgate dropped, after I drove over 65 miles on mountain roads - just as I was entering an interstate on-ramp. My trucks tailgate and my 5th wheel camp trailer were both damaged. Fortunately I was not in traffic. The damage to the 5th wheel was just under the propane tanks and near the mail power bus. I am changing the truck wiring to disconnect power to the tailgate, but this is really not a satisfactory fix. On line I found at least 3 other instances of this problem. Whether the operators and unknowingly activating the tailgate release or the fobs are faulty or the electrical systems are faulty or whatever the cause, the result is a hazard that can cause loss of vehicle/ trailer control or the dropping of cargo on the highways. This is a hazard that needs fixing by Ford.

19 Wiring problem of the 2005 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 11/28/2010

Driving over a mountain pass in the snow, coming downhill at approximately 5% grade when the throttle became non-responsive. Very soon after the truck died completely-no power steering and no power brakes in snowy conditions. I managed to get the truck to the side of the road but wasn't able to get more than 6" off the fog line due to the snow. I was very lucky that an accident did not occur because roadway conditions were not good and the situation could have had drastic consequences. I was also very lucky that my wife was following close behind me and we were able to 1) get cell phone service on the pass and 2) wait for the tow truck in the other vehicle. We ended up waiting on the side of the road for 2 hrs in the dark waiting for a tow truck with my wife and three daughters and no food. Finally got the truck towed to the dealership on a Sunday and waited for them to open today. They informed me that the ficm needed to be replaced but my truck was not covered under the recall (05v270000 electrical system wiring) even though the description matches what happened to me exactly! I have the wrong VIN # so I am not covered even though the problem is exactly the same! this is a serious safety issue! losing power at 60 mph in a crew cab long box diesel pickup is not for the faint of heart! not to mention that some of our personal property was damaged because we could not get all of it into our explorer. Ford needs to come to the plate before someone is seriously injured or killed!.

2004 f350 superduty 6. 0 diesel 110025 miles on truck. The vehicle will some time sputter one to three times and the engine shuts off sometime starting, sometimes failing to start. While driving at times the engine will just shut off sometimes will restart sometimes it will not. I have had it in to a dealership shop to be fixed and they can not at this time find an answer. I have a F-350 crew cab superduty 2000, on April 13, 2010 my truck cut off with me in the middle of the road in wilmington nc, after getting the truck tow in to the garage, I found that the connect wire that hook up to the heads for the glow plugs in the head was bare wires there from the plastic. I am worry is this the reason it cut off on me in the middle of the road, cause they was touching one another and cause the truck to stop running & would not crank back up. The tubo tube run was beside this wiring that have about 5 or six wire coming out of the connection.

29 Wiring problem of the 2005 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/21/2009

I have a 2005 Ford F-350 with approximately 50,000 miles on it. Over the past 4 months my truck has been not starting after it has been driven and occasionally stalling while being driven. I have had the cam sensor, crank sensor, & fuel sending unit all replaced to no avail. I brought it to the Ford dealer and they were unable to "reproduce the not starting", told me to change all filters to Ford brand and change the oil. After spending $350 on just filters the truck is still broken, I can not drive it. There is a campaign for this problem #05v270000, unfortunately Ford says they can not fix my vehicle because my VIN# was not included. I had a friend look at my truck who has a computer to look up the codes, while the truck is plugged in. He reproduced the not starting while the computer was plugged in and the code came up for the ficm which is what the recall from NHTSA is for. I went to the dealer and was told basically to bad. The truck will not start after being driven on a daily basis. Because of the safety concerns with the truck leaving me stranded or even worse stalling while I drive it and causing an accident, I do not drive the truck. Ford should be responsible for fixing these problems.
