Sand and small pebbles are caught in the front side windows trim or weather stripping. This can only be cleaned with the window down. The grit in the weather stripping scratches the window until it is difficult to see out the window when head lights or sun shines in certain directions. Ford has replaced the windows and weather stripping twice but this just starts the process of scratching over. I feel some type of fender extention is needed to stop the grit from being kicked up from the front tires. In the winter or on dirt roads the problem leads to cleaning the weather stripping daily or not using the windows. There is always a scratching sound as the windows go up and down.
