2 Wiper problem of the 2020 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 07/02/2025

Passenger, right side door mirror has failed in that while driving, regardless of speed, the mirror no longer stays outright and provides rear and blind spot view capabilities, therefore making lane changes hazardous with a high potential for crash probability. The internal mechanism(s) have failed and while driving the side mirror folds inward and collapses towards the door making it impossible to see what is next to you in an adjacent lane as well as what may be approaching from the right rear and right lane. The vehicle is scheduled to be inspected by a Ford dealership tomorrow (8/1/2025) to be assessed and see if they will replace the mirror. The mirror in question is pristine and has not been subjected to harsh treatment or been struck by any outside forces that would cause internal damage. No crash reports are associated with this vehicle.

3 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 06/03/2025

Was driving at 06:30 in the morning on a multi-lane highway with light rain. Sudden explosion of the forward sunroof panel with glass shattering everywhere. It was a very loud boom that occurred. No other vehicles were close by so this was not a rock thrown. Plus the roof is 7 feet off the ground which makes it very unlikely with no other vehicles close by.

4 Wiper problem of the 2015 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/19/2025

The back up camera on my f350 froze the image on the screen as I was backing up, and I didn’t realize that I had backed into my daughter’s car. I ripped my fender off and wedged my tires up underneath her crv there was no warning and I didn’t realize there was a recall on it because I hadn’t gotten anything in the mail. I did it my own driveway so I didn’t call the police and I haven’t turned on insurance yet. I wanted to see what I needed to do.

5 Wiper problem of the 2017 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/15/2025

When backing into my driveway, I was not able to see with my backup cameras the steps that protruded into my driveway. I almost backed into the steps. The camera is blurry. The dealership will not replace camera.

7 Wiper problem of the 2019 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 10/25/2023

The back up camera will display a blue screen when truck is in reverse. This is a full size truck and I am unable to see behind me when trying to backup. There have been recalls on this issue with Ford but apparently my truck is not one of them.

8 Wiper problem of the 2020 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/08/2023

Routinely have issues with the wiper arms not returning to resting locations or not working intermittingly while in use. Known issue that has gone completely unresolved. Have been contacting dealership for over a year and logged support issue with Ford corporate with minimal response and leaving the issue unaddressed. I will attach the support correspondence (or lack there of).

9 Wiper problem of the 2017 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/28/2023

Window seal has been coming off around the bottom corners of the windshield. Condensation was bad over the winter months and inside needed to be wiped off before driving causing smudging and smears. I'm worried the window seal will not hold and completely come off while driving.

10 Wiper problem of the 2020 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 03/21/2023

The local dealer (corwin Ford reno) and Ford have not resolved the wiper recall issue in a timely manner. The driver-side wiper consistently stalls mid-stroke rendering the vehicle unsafe and unusable during bad or unpredictable weather. I have made multiple attempts since I received notice of the recall to schedule an appointment to have the issue repaired, but the dealership has yet to return a single call.

11 Wiper problem of the 2021 Ford F-350

12 Wiper problem of the 2019 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 02/09/2023

There is currently a recall for the rear camera on this truck that Ford has yet to repair because they say they don't have the replacement parts. This truck has the 360 view package. There are cameras all around this truck and they all are getting cloudy to the point it's hard to see from any of them, not just the rear view camera. Ford is refusing to replace the other cameras under any kind of warranty/recall. I think that it's a matter of safety to replace all the cameras because they are all either unusable or nearly unusable. I use all the camreas alot because this is a big truck and there are alot of blind spots.

13 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 12/08/2022

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? transfer case shift motor failure, transmission slipping in 3,2,1 gear and when accelerating from 7-8 gear. Electronics on dash have gone out while driving multiple times. Tailgate opened up while driving multiple times. Trailer brake. Drivers side faulty window (glass) fracture across entire window when not moving. Yes, all can be inspected or paper work reviewed for repairs complete. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? could not use 4 wheel drive in icy/snowy conditions to get to destination. Transmission slipping caused my foot to come off brake pedal and immediately had to reengage brake pedal due to the force of the transmission slipping (like the transmission was falling out from under the truck), nearly hitting the car in front of me on both occasions. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes. All issues have been confirmed by local Ford dealer and fixed by certified Ford mechanic, but once issue is repaired, the electronics issues and transmission issue continue to arise (exact same issues). Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? yes, by the dealership (Ford representatives). Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no, no warning signs for any of the defects other than a letter for the tailgate recall, brake recall and wiper recall.

14 Wiper problem of the 2015 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 10/01/2022

The backup camera fails to function when truck is in reverse causing a back over danger to children it was specifically supposed to address.

15 Wiper problem of the 2021 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 08/01/2022

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-350. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number 22v250000(visibility) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted and it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall and the wipers operated erratically while randomly stopping and starting while activated. The failure mileage was 10,000. The VIN tool confirms parts distribution disconnect.

16 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 06/08/2022

I purchased this vehicle on 6/7/2022. Ford let me know there was a recall 2 days later. Ford tells me that I cannot drive the vehicle off of their lot until the parts have been replaced. Ford has no date available as to when the parts will be available. I would like to be able to drive the new truck I purchased. I have not even picked up the truck from the dealer.

17 Wiper problem of the 2021 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/20/2022

VIN 1ft8w3bt7mee08627 Ford has not fixed the recall. This is a work truck. The truck has been sitting on the driveway for 6 months as we are not able to drive it with a safety recall. Company policy is that even if it's not a tragic safety recall, they don't allow people to drive the truck. We need Ford to fix this recall ASAP.

18 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/20/2022

I purchased a new 2022 f350 lariat with a sliding rear window. After owning the unit for three weeks, the rear window exploded while driving down the highway. There were no cars on the highway at night to have thrown a rock at the truck and cause the damage. Temperature was about 55-60 deg f.

19 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 02/05/2022

02/05/2022: severe ice storm in northeast. Windshield adequately thawed and cleared with ice pieces and snow remaining in windshield wiper "bay". Upon energizing windshield wipers in preparation for departure, wipers made several clearing swipes with minor resistance when the driver's side wiper disengaged. After investigation the following theoretical engineering/design flaws were noted: 1) windshield wiper arm hub is larger than splined shaft not allowing 360-degree engagement on spined shaft. Ford has chosen a keyseat in the shaft and a keyway in the hub combined with a key to make the assembly a keyed joint in what appears to be an effort to make a satisfactory drive assembly. 2) the wiper arm is retained on the splined shaft with a spring-loaded lever recessed in a groove. This spring-loaded lever is neither strong nor protected. 3) the wiper arm and blade are heavily spring-loaded on the windshield. My theory is that the ice debris became lodged beneath the wiper arm hub forcing the wiper arm retention lever open (note: lever can be displaced by your thumbnail) popping the wiper arm up with the assistance of the heavily preloaded spring force downward on the windshield. The key fell out when the arm was displaced which left the assembly disengaged from the splined shaft. The key was found in the bay. It is my contention that this assembly poses a serious safety issue for these vehicles. They are purchased to be used in inclement weather (I. E. : snowplowing) and there is not a reliable windshield wiper arm to shaft retention device nor an adequate drive spline. Had this happened while I was driving down the road (especially in inclement weather), it would have been an immediate and severe safety crisis which could have been disastrous.

20 Wiper problem of the 2017 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 02/01/2022

Ford trucks have a known issue of cameras fogging up with condensation. Becomes very difficult to see where you’re backing into. The condensation gets so bad you can’t see at all sometimes. These trucks are big and need the cameras to assist in and out of tight spaces or keep you from rolling over something without knowing it.

21 Wiper problem of the 2018 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 10/23/2020

While driving approximately 3mph on a flat sandy road, rear window exploded. No rocks or anything else hit the window. Also, window is protected as I have a topper on my truck.

22 Wiper problem of the 2019 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 10/14/2020

Our company has had multiple vehicle failures of the shutter door which prevents the vehicle from defrosting causing dangerous low visibly through the windshield. Specifically 3 - f350's and 2 - f550's all of which are model years 2019 and 2020. They have been replaced under warranty and continue to fail at an alarming rate.

23 Wiper problem of the 2019 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 07/17/2020

A small rock shot up from a simi in front of my truck, hit my windshield and cracked my window. I had it replaced with an oem windshield. Now after parking my unit for 3 months, I find another chip in the new windshield, with another crack. The issue raises the question on how safe are these oem windshields?.

24 Wiper problem of the 2019 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 07/15/2020

Windshield wipers continue to operate in slowest intermittent mode when switched to the off position. This also causes the headlights to be illuminated. This happens at all speeds from a full stop to highway speeds. This appears to be a widespread problem with wiper switches amongst F-350 pick up trucks in florida or hotter climates. Part cost is $75. 00 dollars plus tax and 1 hour of labor $130. 00. This causes driver distraction and crash potential.

25 Wiper problem of the 2012 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 10/20/2019

Frequently on damp and cold days, the electrical system starts malfunctioning. The wipers fail to work. The lights (head, parking fog, blinkers) on the driver's side of the truck don't work. When I remove the key from the truck the radio and all the interior lights stay on even after I try to lock the doors. Sometimes the radio randomly turns on while I'm not in the truck. While driving the truck the power steering seems to freeze up and the truck pulls hard to the right. Whenever the truck is turned on there is a loud humming noise that comes from under the hood.

26 Wiper problem of the 2008 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 06/22/2019

Driving down the road at 65 mph, on open highway going straight, and on cruise control, my sun roof exploded. If I had not had the sun shade pulled closed, we would have been showered in glass! I had a truck camper on the truck at the time, however, I've driven tens of thousands of miles with this camper, so it shouldn't be that - and the glass ought to be strong enough for this usage anyway. This should not have happened, and the type of glass that is used should not allow glass to shatter into flying pieces like that! this is costing me a bundle of money to repair, but more importantly, had the sun shade not been closed, I could have had an accident with 6+ tons of truck and camper.

27 Wiper problem of the 2016 Ford F-350

28 Wiper problem of the 2015 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/22/2019

Front windshield has air coming in making a hmmmmm sound at highway speeds. Afraid with enough wind, windshield may pop off.

29 Wiper problem of the 2018 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/12/2019

After parking and getting out of truck and closing the front door the rear window in the cab shattered and bowed outwards. It was 60 degrees outside . Ford said they will not cover a replacement . Truck has 12391 miles on it. Ford said it is not covered under warranty and refused to admit something was wrong with the glass.

30 Wiper problem of the 2016 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 10/16/2018

Stared intermittently with the wiper/turn signal multifunction switch and the wipers would not turn off even though the switch was in the off position. As soon as I would start the truck it would come on. Eventually it would not ever shut off and went to the point of tearing up the wiper blades. Had to replace the whole switch to fix the problem.

31 Wiper problem of the 2017 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 12/21/2017

2017 f350 back window exploded. The vehicle was stationary, parked in a driveway in a subdivision. I remote started my truck within 5 minutes before I opened the back drivers crew cab door to put a bag on the floor. When I shut the door, the back window exploded as the door closed. The outside temperature was around 23 degrees f. I believe the sudden cab pressure of shutting the door, combined with colder temperatures and a defect in the glass or glass installation is the root cause of the issue.

32 Wiper problem of the 2017 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 12/08/2017

Fords" bumper to bumper warranty doesn't go "mirror to mirror" on Nov 22, 2017 I bought the 2017 F-350 lariat super duty. Nice truck, it's the 8th Ford truck I have bought new and until now have never had a major problem that they didn't stand behind until this one. At 700 mi on a family outing to washington Dec 8th, my wife remarked that she could smell something burning and I told her it was probably paint off the engine. I had turned on the mirror defrost. On arrival to our destination my son discovered the frames had melted. Sent pictures to service dept. At dealership. Tech sent text back "do not use mirror heaters again". I called and he said dealership would replace when we returned. They picked it up on Friday the 15th and midday I got a phone call from service manager stating that he wasn't a very good nancy drew but they were not going to warranty them as they thought they were vandalized ( at 70 mph you would have thought one of the four of us would have noticed it ) he told me to turn in to my insurance. I remarked that it wasn't an insurance problem, to state farm agents credit they told me to take to another dealer and they would collect repair cost from manufacture. Wouldn't it be great if a warranty was just that? when I told service manager that I was going to file a claim with the oregon doj under the lemon law, he blew me off. I took to another dealer and he told me albany one had placed a "flag" on it making it impossible for anyone else to even look at it but cautioned me to not park in my garage in case of fire until issue was addressed. Called Ford customer service and they assigned me a "case number". 1400 mi. On a 72k truck and no mirror defrost. We currently own 9 Fords, loyalty doesn't account for much anymore. Warranty must not be any wider than the bumpers.

33 Wiper problem of the 2001 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 11/30/2017

Tl- the contact owns a 2001 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the windshield wipers independently failed functioning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the wipers motor failed and needed to be replaced. The contact then taken the vehicle to lithia Ford dealer, located on 2833 washburn way, klamath falls, or 97601, phone:(541) 205-4501, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 01v258000 (visibility). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 154,000. Aw.

34 Wiper problem of the 2016 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 03/05/2017

Heated rear window glass shattered. Small pieces of glass all over interior. Vehicle was stationary, not running, just sitting in driveway at the time it shattered. Glass was not impacted by anything.

35 Wiper problem of the 2015 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 03/13/2016

I have a f350 2015 vehicle, having an engine knock noise and hesitation problems right after the engine knocks. I have experienced these concerns five times. The dealership is saying is a characteristic of the vehicle due to California regulations. There is a TSB to the concern that I am having, but I don't think my vehicle should have the heads rebuilt since I just purchased it back in Dec 2015. What is the state doing to have this concern resolve? I brought it in two days ago to the dealership and since after the 4th time of the engine knocked the check engine light came on they ended up replacing a sensor. I picked up the vehicle from the dealership yesterday and on my way home, the engine knocks to happen again. I am waiting on fmc to call me and tell me what they are going to do now. The vehicle has two other problems a windshield noise at 60 to 70 miles per hour on windy days. They resealed the windshield the problem exists. They are telling me, that unless they duplicate the issue, they can't do anything. I showed them a video that I recorded during the concern happening, but they are ignoring it. I showed them a video that someone else posted on you tube same concern. However, since they cannot duplicate they cannot do anything that is their answer. I also have a problem of the transmission, harsh shift as slow speeds same thing can't duplicate is what the work order from the dealership states. What can I do to have this vehicle looked at for the concerns I am having? it has been in the dealership four times since I bought it.
