I have recieved the notice from the manufacturer as expected. I have been notified by my local dealership of the recall. I have attempted several times since notification to have it corrected. I have been told on every occasion the parts were not available. Yet, a bit of searching on Ford's own parts website, I can order the part and have it delivered by Feb 26. At every service visit, the dealership has kindly reminded me of the needed recalls. I question, no parts? is Ford just thinking I will get tired and just stop. No parts in stock should mean, none in Ford's entire inventory. The part in question is only used on Ford Flex. No other models use this device. The reserved devices cannot be "for new car builds". I believe we are on the edge of a "bad faith" arguement. An issued "safety recall" should not mean "suggested when you have time recall.

After reporting to work on [xxx], I discovered that the front of my vehicle was on fire. Emergency services were immediately contacted, and employees on site attempted to contain the fire using fire extinguishers. The fire department arrived shortly thereafter and successfully extinguished the fire. Despite these efforts, the vehicle was ultimately deemed a total loss. Later that day, my sister advised me to review footage from our ring camera from that morning. The video shows visible sparks coming from underneath my vehicle prior to my departure. At that time, I drove approximately nine miles to work, unaware of any issue with the vehicle. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Power steering. While I was driving in my neighborhood the power steering went out and I could not make a turn. It locked up while driving. I could have got into a head on collision/accident becasue the road turns. Yes, I reported it to Ford and they told me my Flex did not have a recall despite the Ford website stating that some 2013 Ford Flex are affected. The description of 15s18 sterring recall matches my same issue and it poses a serious safety hazard. Yes, I took it to a mechanic at an auto shop and her is telling me that he can't fix recalls. At the time of the accident, I got no pre warning just the message that states: "steering lock malfunction service now: the steering lock system has detected a condition that requires service. " this happened on or around 11/23/25. I am requesting that Ford pay for my power steering to be fixed.

I know that the 2015-2019 Ford Flex is being recalled for rear camera issues and "b" pillar mldgs. Coming loose. My 2014 Flex has these same issues. What about earlier models?.
Rear camera recall has not been remedied it has be 9 months.
I had changed all my bulbs and fuses to my car for my brake lights several times and they still don’t work. My car almost got hit with me and my kids in it due to my break lights not working. Also my car keeps saying service advance trac and keeps saying it every time I drive. My car also keeps running out of power steering fluid every two week I have to add more to keep it from making that loud noise while driving.

Rear camera malfunctioned screen showed “camera not available” didn’t alert any noise or warnings and a tree hovered slightly into parking spot and smashed in my rear window. Audio inside car malfunctioned as well (no musics, etc) and the touch pad tones stopped making sound when touched.
I am getting a "transmission not in park" error that will also sometimes flash "door ajar" while driving. Door appears to be closed - not sure if it's latched, transmission is obviously not in park because the car is moving. I'm concerned that this shouldn't be driven and is a safety issue.
Media player unavailable alert comes on display. Touch panel tone doesn’t have sound, audio in car has no sound. Sync 3 has been updated. Problem continues as well as the rear camera issue.
Hello, I recently submitted a safety complaint regarding my 2017 Ford Flex. The complaint number is xxx. I would like to add additional information that I forgot to include in the original report. The vehicle’s power liftgate has intermittently opened on its own while the vehicle was parked. There have been occasions where I came outside and found the liftgate open overnight in my driveway. This issue appears to be intermittent and part of the same electrical problems affecting the backup camera system described in my complaint. Please add this information to my existing complaint. Thank you, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Apim or sync 3 malfunction. Navigation failure and not working properly alerts, clock in car not set correctly and won’t allow owner to fix it, no audio at all, no panel touch tones, popping/cracking intermittent throughout car, bluetooth connection drops, slow glitching screen, reverse camera displayed distortion or black/blue screen with alerts saying “camera unavailable” which already caused a collision on 10/11/2025. Vehicle was taken to Ford dealership an owner was advised to wait for recall remedy unless “I have an endless wallet” to pay to fix issue. Ford dealership is aware of all issues and owner opened a case with Ford company. There were no warning signs of issue until reverse camera began to malfunction in September 2025 then issues all happened after.
Apim is failing due to current recall with reverse camera. The glitching has cause many safety issues including •navigation fault •cracking/popping audio •missing touchscreen sounds •intermittent system issues •slow loading •camera freezing or blacking out this has already caused a collision with my vehicle. Took it to manufacturer (Ford dealership) and they told me nothing they can do until recall has parts ready. Prior to all this, my car system was working just fine up until August 2025. No issues at all.
Steering service fault and avancetrac service popped up while driving, vehicle has 110k miles. Lost all power steering, so we pulled off into the closest parking lot. Code u3000 pulled up with a code reader, waiting to have vehicle towed to Ford for a solution.
Backup camera is malfunctioning and showing not available. Can't see behind the vehicle.
My 2016 Ford Flex’s reverse camera has been shorting out, blinking off and on. If the camera does come on the picture is upside down. This has been happening for over a month and I have not had it looked at. This is similar to the most recent back up camera recall for other Ford vehicles for this year range.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact stated that while driving at 70 mph, there was an abnormal sound coming from the exterior of the vehicle. The contact pulled over to the side of the road, and upon inspection, the contact became aware that the keypad had detached from the door and was hanging down. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be repaired. The contact taped the keypad to the door to avoid water from entering the keypad. Three-quarters of the keypad had detached and flown off while driving. The buttons on the keypad still functioned as intended. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
I am submitting a formal complaint regarding multiple premature and potentially safety-related failures on my 2019 Ford Flex, purchased new on 11/25/2019. These include: ?? 1. Rear suspension / rear toe link concern although my vehicle is not included in Ford’s rear toe link recall (20s62), it is experiencing the same symptoms: rear-end instability and drifting uneven or premature rear tire wear clunking or loose feeling from the rear suspension I have an appointment scheduled for August 6, 2025 to inspect the rear toe bar links, as I suspect they are defective or misaligned — the exact condition the recall addresses. ?? 2. Water pump failure the engine water pump failed before 100,000 miles, requiring a full replacement. This is a known issue in several Ford engines, and repair was required out-of-pocket despite the vehicle being well maintained. ?? 3. Exterior trim detachment multiple exterior trim pieces detached from the vehicle while driving, posing a road hazard to myself and others. These parts did not appear to be securely fastened from the factory. ?? 4. Premature tire wear rear tires wore out far earlier than expected — possibly linked to suspension or alignment issues, including the toe link concerns mentioned above. ? 5. Ongoing electrical failures since August 2022, I have had to return to the dealership multiple times for electrical system issues: 8/3/2022 11/2/2022 2/14/2024 these included battery/electrical drain issues and warning system malfunctions, which affect the vehicle’s reliability and safety. These problems began less than 3 years after purchasing the car new. These issues raise serious concerns about the overall build quality and long-term safety of the 2019 Ford Flex. I am concerned that my vehicle may have: been excluded from critical recalls, despite showing identical failure patterns undergone multiple early mechanical and electrical repairs developed safety-related defects that compromise both driver & public safety.
The back up camera in the vehicle almost never works properly. The majority of the time, while in reverse, the screen is blue or black. It will sometimes show the camera video feed but it will be upside down before the screen turns to black. It will than say that the camera is unavailable. If the back up camera is not operation, it can be very difficult to see small objects or young people directly behind the vehicle. The symptoms are the same as described in NHTSA recall number 24v951 which affects the same vehicle line and model year as this vehicle. This VIN is not affected by recall 24v951.
My back up camera show upside down or sometimes it shows a black screen. People have a habit of walking behind me when I’m backing up and I can’t see them. The warning beep sounds but I can’t tell if it a car or person behind me. When it first happen months ago I tried resetting camera, it didn’t work. Not sure if my extended warranty covers this.
The rear backup camera works intermittently and often the screen will display a message that 'camera is unavailable. Please contact your dealership. ' at this point, the camera does not work and the screen will not display the view.
Faulty back up camera. Shows inverted and distorted image, or fails to operate at all. Has been an issue for about 3 years.
While car is in reverse the rear view camera cuts in and out more than 75 %of time while. This has resulted in several near miss collisions while backing up. But when I checked my VIN it was included in the current recall for the same issue and concern.
Rear back up camera first started flickering in and out when I would go in reverse and now it doesn’t work at all. No warning before it went out just the flickering and now nothing. Then I seen where other vehicles my year had problems with their camera systems and thought it’s probably the same thing.
The backup camera went out, but first it went upside down. Not inverted, just upside down. It's definitely a safety issue as I can't see fully behind me. I've seen the later models have the same issue and recall for them but not the older models with the same issue.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact received notifications of NHTSA campaign numbers: 24v951000 (back over prevention); however, the parts to do the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while reversing the rearview camera was inverting the image and the image was distorted. There were no warning lights illuminated or messages displayed. The failure mileage was approximately 97,786. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. VIN tool confirms parts are not available.
My 2017 Ford Flex has an open safety recall for the rearview camera system (Ford recall 25s49 / NHTSA recall 25v695). The recall states the camera may display a blank image or show the message “camera unavailable” when the vehicle is placed in reverse. My vehicle is actively experiencing this exact failure. The screen frequently displays “camera unavailable,” preventing the rearview camera safety feature from functioning when the vehicle is put in reverse. I received the recall notice in October 2025. Since then I have contacted my Ford dealership several times and have been told that parts are still not available to repair the recall. Ford initially provided an estimated remedy date of January 2026. This date was later moved to June 20, 2026. I was recently informed that the date has now been removed completely and there is no estimated timeline for when the recall repair will be available. The safety recall remains unresolved while the defect continues to occur on the vehicle. The rearview camera is an important safety feature that assists drivers when reversing. I am submitting this complaint because the recall repair has been delayed for many months while the safety defect is actively occurring.
Received recall notice - safety recall notice 24s75 / NHTSA recall 24v951 in January 2025. This recall has still not been completed by Ford. This has been over 1 year. Do they get indefinite time to repair recall.
Backup camera frequently goes blank. I noticed an active recall for other Ford vehicles and wanted to report I’m having the same issue with my 2017 Ford Flex, so I’m hoping the Flexes will be added to the recall.
My back up camera turned blue and said that that camera was unavailable, then it turned black, now the image is upside down. This could def be a hazard and it is a common occurrence in the 2016 Flex.
Backup camera strobing and upside down image. Unable to see pedestrians or other vehicles. Local mechanic suggested replacing camera as possible solution but was unsure if that would help. No warning or other symptoms. First appeared approximately one month ago.
Rear backup camera not working or distorted. This has a recall on the 2019 Ford Flex but none of the other years. If you look into this, this has been a major issue since 2013 with all of the Ford Flex vehicles.
The back-up camera is malfunctioning. Either appear blank or will work for about 5 seconds then go blank. Took to mechanic and was confirmed as malfunctioning per codes, but wasn't able to completely diagnose.
