Cooling Fan Problems of Ford Focus

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while opening the front driver's side door, the engine fan inadvertently turned on without starting the vehicle. The engine fan remained running after the vehicle was turned off, causing the battery to become drained. The contact had to purchase a new battery. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

My car started having a clutch shudder before it was a year old. I took it to the dealership the first time and they thought it was the adaptive learn feature, and reset the computer. It was still doinf it and I took it back within a week. I was told its a Ford clutch problem, but until it gets bad enough to register in the computer I had to keep driving it. Then the gear shift cable broke, it came out of the transmition and had to be fixed, at the same time I had the clutch re-checked and it finally registered bad in the computer and was replaced. 1 week after getting the car back it strted overheating and had to go back to the shop (8/7/19), I also realized while driving to the dealership that the car had burnt through around 1/2 tank of fuels in a little over 60 miles. I was told the cooling fan just stopped working and was replaced.

The car was running hot had to use a/c to keep the fans to cool car I took car to my mechanic and he found that the switches for the fans and the rest of the car was burned out and would have cause a fire if I had not brought the car for a checkup it would have caught on fire and I am 3 months pregnant. 2002 Ford Focus . The mechanic had to replace the switch and the whole wire system it cost me $225. 00 I am scared if I did not take the car for a checkup to see why the fans were not working I don't want to know what would have happened.

2001 Ford Focus z3 cooling low speed fan system resistor failure, hot lead wire in plastic shielding melted , insulation melted from socket to source socket. Contacts overheated/melted, circuit's fuse did not blow. High speed fan continues to operate when air conditioner is turned on. Car overheats in traffic because low fan motors do not come on, never noticed problem as air conditioner usually on all the time. Has been ongoing for past 6 months. Just now checked resistor and found burned wiring. No fire, no injuries but given different circumstances could be a fire problem. The fuse should have protected the circuit but hasn't.

At 40,000 miles on my 2000 Focus wagon, dealer tells me that the clunking noise I hear from front and rear will be fixed with a new front tie rod and rear shocks. Visited dealer 3 times to fix a windshield washer leak into tailgate, filling light fixtures and seeping into rear of car. I have had my fan motor replaced and my rear door latches are not working correctly. All of many recalls have been addressed, we even received 4 new tires due to tread wearing. It took many trials to get a correct alignment. My stereo often will cut out for no reason. I am no longer under warranty and fear that this most recent suspension repair will be costly while I still make monthly payments on my vehicle. Can you help?.

Consumer called complaining about the radiator fun. Also stated that this happend while he was driving the vehicle the fun on the radiator fell off and cause damage on the bottom of the vehcle. Dealer was contacted and stated to the consumer to contact there insurance to find out if it was consumer s fall or the manufactures diffect. Ts.
