I had my engine on in park and it stalled left me stranded and dashboard said engine fault service now when I tried starting the car it would turn over and I heard a bunch of clicking and the lights were flickering the dash and radio had no power and my wipers wouldn’t go off. I had to abandon my car on someone’s private property until I could get it towed they ended up calling the cops and gave me 48 hours to remove my car off there property. In my 2013 Ford Focus se I have experienced reduced engine power, hesitation, engine stalls while driving with no warning front and rear lights flicker and dim random spikes in voltage and inconsistent start-up issues like sometimes the vehicle does not start when turning the ignition on and car suddenly starts or idles down unexpectedly and stutters/lurches when driving. Also sometimes my radio fails to have power. I have replaced relay fuses starter fuses purge valve bought a new battery bought a new alternator I changed O2 sensors spark plugs filters etc I took it to fred martin Ford and they advised me they found intermittent communication failure between pcm and tcm. Performed wire trace on harness found harness frayed that runs along transmission unit. There are wiring harness recalls on certain 2013 and 2014 model year Focus st and escape vehicles equipped with a 2. 0l engine engine wiring splice repair safety recall 14s17 my 2013 Ford Focus se 2. 0l engine does not fall under this recall how come? there are several other customers having the same wiring harness issues.

The car displays the p0902 obii code. The engine stalls and wont change gears properly. This is specially dangerous when turning since the cars behind you can't see you're stalling and may crash into you. Some times it gets so bad that the dashboard displays a message that the transmission has heated up and I have to pull over immediately. The car won't even run or change gears at that point. This problem happens randomly when driving. Specially when the vehicle is idle for a while.

I have a Ford Focus 2014. 3recalls. 1st recall transmition, for the longest time Ford dealership would not fix. Finally I contacted the NHTSA then told Ford what I did they finally fixed it but I don't think they did a good job. 2nd recall fuel system,I received a recall about cpv that might stick open. That would cause engine light to come on,inaccurate or erratic fuel gauge, inaccurate distance to empty, engine stall while driving without warning that could cause a crash. My car has all these symptom ,took it by the dealership to get fixed they said Ford would not fix the defects. Because special codes didn't come up. Sounds like a scam to me. Ford does not want to cover their recalls !!!.
When driving my car the engine stalls trying to get it up to speed and when you attempt to step into it my car stalls to where it feels like your foot is at the floor my dealership claims it's just the style of the car it's supposed to do that.

I purchased the Ford Focus titanium hatchback in 2014 new, and since then it has been to the dealership/mechanic over 25 times due to 2 major defects -- Ford powershift transmission and electric/engine issue with draining the battery. I've had 4 batteries and average 6-8 jump starts per year due to the electric problems with the computer draining my battery. I've come very close to having at least 8 accidents due to the transmission fault. The transmission was replaced a couple years ago and it worked without having the shifting stall problem for about 2 months. My dealer said that's "all they can do. . . Ford doesn't offer any payback or refunds due to these 2 well-known lemon defaults. I just called the 800 number for Ford to file a complaint (800-392-3673) and they stated that I'd have to call back in 2 hours because their system is down. I asked if I could file a complaint online and they stated, 'no', you must call us to file the report. Details involving the lack of safety due to these 2 issues -- I've had my engine stalled in the middle of traffic on average of 6-8 times per year, putting my young children and self in great danger. I've also had my battery die just hours after parking it in a metropolitan city (miami/tampa/washington DC/chicago/detroit) and had to wait at my vehicle with my children for Ford or aaa to help replace/charge my battery -- which took on average 1-2 hours each time. I am requesting that Ford purchase my vehicle for the full blue book value, in addition to $10,000 due to the loss of work and lack of safety/hardship/disregard to my safety issues that I've brought to their attention over the past 6 years. Please contact me at 239-628-2841 and leave a message if I'm unable to answer. Thank you, julie eckhardt --- 13170 bella casa cir #289, ft myers, FL 33966.

When you depress the accelerator peddle the rpms max out . It will studder for a few second then the rpms will plummet to zero or one. The engine stalls while in motion. While operating the vehicle on a straight flat road. The rpms are all over the engine looses power surges and cuts out. When driving up hill or an incline the engine will loose up to half its power and the car will derastically loose accelerator power. The steering is irratic . It shakes and causes the vehicle to lurch . It is unsafe to operate on public roadways. Since recall service ive had to return the car to the recall service provider. The car now has so many problems it sits in my driveway. Since October ive paid full coverage insurance for a car the Ford motor company and sub sitiary companies of that company refuse to honor their re alls and services stemming from those recalls.

Bought Ford Focus 2015 on 02/25/2019 at drive time. During the process, they told me that there was a recall on the engine stalling but the issue didn't involve any further action. It only took me 3 weeks to start having engine stall while driving or at stop line without any caution warning. Also have engine caution on the dashboard on 04/24/2019.

2012 Ford Focus stalling and shutting off on highway. Engine stalling and shutting off multiple times while driving. Check engine indicator on due to recall.
Engine stalls when accelerating, and stops while driving on road. Occurs frequently and has happened more than once. Ford says nothing is wrong.
My engine constantly stalls when accelerating. This happens not only in low rpm use but also when I am on the freeway. The stalling makes my car shake and it is making driving extremely dangerous and I am constantly hesitant to have my family inside of my car. I am still waiting for the recall to contact to fix the solution but it is taking an unreasonable amount of time. Please expedite thenhtsa recall regarding my car.

Takata recall. Engine stalls w/o notice, inside cab reeks of gas smell. Ford remedy is to keep gas tank 1/2 full. Doesn't work. Just filled up and still stalled while entering into the freeway. I did not use cheap fuel. Very dangerous and the remedy does not work. Took car to dealership twice now and they confirmed it's 1 of 10 Focus on the recall. In other words 10% of their Focus have this recall and symptoms. I called Ford corp and they gave me 2 options, 1)drive car with 1/2 tank or more 2) don't drive it at all. I need it for work #2 is not an option. Ford will not give a loaner car even I told them their remedy is not working and can cause bodily injury or even death.
On your vehicle, the pcm software may not adequately detect a stuck-open canister purge valve (cpv) within the fuel vapor system. If the cpv malfunctions and sticks open, it can lead to excessive vacuum in the fuel vapor system, potentially deforming the plastic fuel tank. This can cause the following symptoms: illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (mil) with certain diagnostic trouble codes (dtcs) inaccurate or erratic fuel gauge indication inaccurate distance to empty (dte) engine stall and/or other drivability concerns related to stuck open cpv safety risk this may result in an engine stall while driving without warning or without the ability to restart, and can increase the risk of a crash. Unfulfilled promise the manufacturer said the piece would be ready in the first quarter of 2019; however, the recall still says no remedyalmost 6 months later.
I payed $372. 24 for a fuel system problem I was having problems were engine was stalling, vapor managementvalve was replaced. Now there is a recall that is not complete. Why am I being chatged for this recall?I would come to a stop sign or a red light and my car would turn off. This is not first time I take my car to Ford I also had to take it in for transmission recall.
The excessive vaccuum may result in an engine stall while driving, without warning and without the ability to restart the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Very dangerous. Constantly battling with this car daily.
Engine stalls while driving and will not restart. I suspect that it is related to similar issues drivers are having with the evap canister purge valve in other model years: "the canister purge valve may malfunction and create excessive vacuum in the fuel vapor management system, which can result in the engine stalling without restarting. Dealers will reprogram the powertrain control module and replace the canister purge valve as needed. If the valve needs to be replaced, dealers will also inspect and replace the carbon canister, fuel tank and fuel delivery module as determined to be needed. All repairs will be performed free of charge to resolve the concern. ".

I am not an expert so have no idea what may be causing the problem. I purchased car in late September 2015. Early on I noticed that when starting from a stop it felt like the engine was going to stall. Very rough running at slow speeds such as in heavy traffic. My driveway is at blind curve of a high speed 4-lane road. To say I am nervous pulling out would be an understatement. I want to move and fast. Since I may not always be able to see what's coming, I have always depended partly on my hearing as I pull out but during cold weather, in addition to rough running engine, the driver's window does not work until the temperature rises (all other windows work fine). Ford dealer in waynesville nc supposedly repaired the problem under warranty before I signed papers on the purchase at waynesville Chevrolet. I believe it was 10/5 before I actually had possession of the car.
