All of the problems associated with campaign/NHTSA#18s32/18v735 (issue date 2018-10-22) occurred again with 5 teenagers in the car, southbound on I-65 between ohio and florida, causing the car to come to a complete stop! this known problem/Ford recall systems failure repeated just 3 years after remediation/recall, stranding 5 teenagers on the tennessee-alabama line for 2 days and then requiring an expensive tow to florida (for vacation) and then again home (because it was not correctly diagnosed at the Ford service center in florida)! the Ford dealerships/service centers in panama city, FL stated there was a computer problem which couldn't be fixed there for over two weeks, so the car was towed to ohio. Here, the Ford service center in wch, ohio (740-522-1106) diagnosed the problem as requiring replacement parts and labor for: " fuel pump, o-ring, new fuel tank and vapor tube/purge valve on engine for 'stuck open valves' 'not pulling fuel' and collapse of the fuel tank itself. ' $1248. 47 p/l + taxes + towing x2 + $150 diagnostic eval. This is exactly the same scenario as the October 2018 fuel tank deformation recall campaign/NHTSA#18s32/18v735. This car had the required recall performed in March 2020 at lebanon Ford (513-461-7489) in lebanon, ohio, but just 3 years later, the entire system failed again, putting 5 teenagers at grave risk (while traveling at interstate speeds of 65-70mph)--two of whom were my daughters! I would like this system re-evaluated and a new recall/remediation issued immediately to protect passengers/Ford drivers/others on the road with this problematic car model/year!.

Car is less than 6 years old, steering completely fails in very cold weather despite a fully electric epas steering system (no power steering fluid). In addition to the radiator and fuel pump needing replacement within the full lifespan of this car, it is very unsafe and not road worthy.

Started car in parking lot, entered roadway, tried to accelerate and car would not go. Pulled over turned car off and restarted. Car was able to make it home however next time car was started car again would not accelerate on road. Whole car began to shake. Check engine and battery light came on. Car was towed to dealership unsafe for driving. Told it was the fuel pump that was bad. Only have 33,552 miles on car. Cost $700 to fix. After it was fixed car no longer stuttered (which it's done the whole 5 years I have owned it) and the mileage to empty read 418. Not once has it every read 400 or over before. Dealership could give no explanation why fuel pump went bad.

On oct. 11, 2020, while driving on the highway the car lost power and stalled multiple times. Towed to dealership and diagnosed as faulty low pressure fuel pump. Six weeks earlier the fuel pressure sensor was replaced, too.

While driving to work as I pulled out of my neighborhood my rpms began began do rapidly bounce between 0-6 and the gas pedal didn't respond to anything like the engine was not receiving enough fuel. I stopped the car, in the middle of the road, put in park and the engine returned to a normal idle. I began to continue driving to turn around come back home worried about this issue. About a half mile later the engine completely stalled on me in the middle of the road. The car would crank with no start. This is a huge safety concern. I had to have my car towed to the local Ford dealership at beach Ford in virginia beach, va. After their testing I was told that the fuel pump driver module (fpdm) needs replaced and that the part is backordered with an estimated delivery date 2 weeks out. The car only has 23,500 miles on it. There's no recall at this time for Ford Focus stalling issue while driving which is a huge safety concern for a vehicle to stall while traveling down a road/highway. That fact disgusts me because it is a known and reoccurring problem and nothing has came of it. I also find it interesting that people with the same issues here were recommended to replace different parts. I'm curious to see if this fpdm will solve the problem of stalling in the middle of the road.

The cpv is stuck open . Damage to the fuel pump and gas tank. Years models from 2012 -2018 with same problem are on the recall, but my vehicle is not for some reason. I have been unable to get someone to explain this to me. The problem causes the car to shack and stall out.

The manufacturer had been informed of failure. Upon investigation the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 15v005000 (fuel system, gasoline), hoever the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 111,863. Dp.

Tl-the contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that when the fuel is blow 1/2 a tank the vehicle stalls without warning. The contact would have to turn the vehicle off and back on in order for the vehicle to resume back to normal. The vehicle was not repaired. However, the failure recurred. The contact mentioned NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline) as a possible solution to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the warranties expired. The failure mileage was approximately 58,885. Ck.

Has recall for fuel pump deformation. And also transmission fault service soon light. Shifts weirdly and when coming to a stop the transmission shutters and brakes abruptly.

My car hesitate and jerks when advancing from a stop. This is very scary when I'm on the highway. My car at times doesn't pick up speed I have to press down more than usual to get up to speed. I had my fuel pump replace because the indicator detected an issue, wasn't aware that this was a recall.

The vehicle suddenly shut off while my daughter was driving on a highway and she was unable to restart it. The mechanic states that it is a malfunction involving the purge valve and fuel pump. Due to this malfunction, the O2 sensor and fuel tank needs replaced and the pcm needs reprogrammed. The mechanic states this should be covered under recall 18s32 and 19s22 but Ford is saying that my particular vehicle is not covered under this recall. Why???.

The vehicle was not repaired and was still at the dealer. The contact stated that the clutch was replaced four times. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000. Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Chrysler town & country. The contact stated that when the vehicle was turned off, an abnormal nose was detected coming form under the hood. The vehicle was taken to martin Dodge Jeep Chrysler 2209 scottsville rd, bowling green, ky 42104 (270) 216-5185 where the contact was informed that the fuel pump relay needed to be replaced but the vehicle did not have a diagnostic test done. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 140000 . Dr.

Had recall service done for fuel tank deformation issue or so the dealerships says. But after I the car back it seems to be running great but 5 miles down the road it stalls on me and fails to crank when it did it wouldnt continue to run or idle for long before stalling again. After 30 mo s or so of priming fuel pump and retrying and letting set. It cranks up and runs fine. Recall needs to be further researched or dealership needs to be investigated for fraudulently claiming to complete recall procedures and not doing so.

My car had a safety recall on it,it said it needed a fuel tank,fuel pump,evap control module and 2 evap canisters,Ford said the recall was closed and would not fix my car,so I took it to mechanic to get all of this replaced and Ford will not sell him a fuel tank for my car because it had a recall on the VIN number. Now what do I do? how can I make Ford fix my car?.

My check engingie light came on,took it to mechanic,he said it was a safety recall on the evaporative emissions purge valve,evaporative emissions canister,fuel pump module,fuel tank. Heartland forf in heber springs ark. ,said they coded this car last December and now all of this is wrong with the car. What can I do? I can't pay for this and now its wrong with my car! it was a recall and nothing has been fixed on my car but the door latches.

Tamara recall. My fuel pump is gone (no longer working) and my Ford Focus has just reached 61000/miles. The car stalls when driving and cuts out in traffic, a seriously dangerous issue. This is an issue that has to be related to other Ford Focus recalls regarding the fuel system and fuel pump. The fuel pump has failed on my Focus. The car just shut off while driving. Engine turns over but will not start. It was on a residential street. My car was built 7/14 which falls outside of the recall window which ends in may 20014. Its my firm belief it may very well be the same fuel pump issue the others are having. Have not made any repairs yet as this just happened last night 7/30/2019.

I was driving down the road and, lost power and it started slowing down. I got in the right lane and coasted to side of road. I cut engine off and that was it. I tried to re start and it just kept turning over. It it only have 61,522 miles on it. Mancanic came out and said it's the fuel pump.

I had 2 recalls on locks and fuel pump and now today @7:00am I have transmission melfunction. I will never buy a Ford again.

While driving on the highway the vehicle stopped running and lost all power without warning the vehicle could not be re-started. Was able to get the vehicle towed and looked at by an independent repair shop since the Ford dealerships were too busy to look at a vehicle that was 3 hours away from the home address. The cause of the issue was the evaporator vacuum canister. The failure of the canister also caused the fuel tank to deform and damaged the fuel pump/level sensor. The canister was replaced and the fuel tank popped out as much as possible, but the fuel level sensor is still reading incorrectly due to the deformed tank.

Takata recall. I took my 2014 Ford Focus to a Ford dealership because my car gas gauge was showing erratic mileage and because I knew I had a recall. I received my vehicle with the same problem as I took it in. My gauge still kept showing erratic mileage. I went back 5 days later tto tell them what was going on and I asked what procedure they had done. They told me that they had only reprogrammed a module. I told them if they could check it out again and they told me that they could but they were going to charge me a diagnostic fee because they had already performed the recall. The diagnostic came out and it turned out that my car needs a new fuel pump, canister purge valve, and fuel tank. I told them that those things were supposed to be fixed the first time I brought it because it was part of the recall. They transferred me to Ford internal something and Ford said that the recall was already performed and that it was my responsibility now. I mean how does a company like Ford can be so unprofessional about somebting like this. I mean part of the recall is to take your vehicle to get those things fixed that the Ford assembly line failed to address when making the model. Now I am even more scared because I don't know when I will get stranded somewhere because I'm not sure what gas mileage it has.

In December 2018 I was on the highway going 70 mph and suddenly my car would no longer accelerate. It would not start either until hours later. Took it back to Ford after telling them what had happened and they said it was because of a fuel pump recall. I got a letter later that month after my car had been to Ford and checked out, saying the part was recalled in October. I was not notified prior and it is very dangerous to stall on highway. Then a few weeks ago I had the same thing happen on the highway again. Whenever my fuel is kind of low the car just stalls and I can't start it. I was able to get gas and jump my car and get it home and has been fine since, but I went into Ford the next day and told them that the same issue happened and they told me that back in December when they �fixed� my vehicle they actually just looked at it and said it was fine, but told me they replaced/fixed the part. So the part was never fixed or resolved. Not to mention I have only have this car since September 2017 and have had the clutch replaced 3 times and now am feeling the signs of it failing again for the 4th time. This car is unsafe and unpredictable and Ford has lied to me and not informed me of the dangers of the vehicle I'm paying them for.

On another occasion, while attempting to drive the vehicle, it failed to start. The vehicle was taken to rogel Ford (located at 26167 ms-27, crystal springs, ms 39059, (601) 892-3673) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Furthermore, the front driver side door failed to close. The vehicle was taken back to rogel Ford where the door was repaired, but not diagnosed. The contact was informed by the dealer that they also reprogrammed the power train module. The contact stated that the fuel gauge would show full when it was supposed to be at half a tank. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and stated that rogel Ford repaired the vehicle per NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). No further assistance was offered. The approximate failure mileage was 159,000.

11/13/17 my transmission stalled, making loud shudder noises and failed to accelerate. Ford replaced the tcm and reprogrammed the clutch. There was recall for safety latches on the doors to be replaced as well. 10/24/18 vehicle started and would cut off. Attempted to drive it but then the car died in the drive way. Had to have car towed. Replaced fuel pump module and gaskets. Total of $810. 96 not including towing fee. The very same night I picked my car up after it being fixed a recall was issued for fuel pump module failure. Ford refused to refund my money and insisted that since the fuel pump was not affected it was not related. I had to go back to Ford 10/3018 to have fuel vapor and seals replaced. So 2/3 parts needed replacing of which cost me. 5/4/19 I was driving down the road and my transmission went out. The car would not accelerate, brake or downshift. I was stuck at 60mph. I had to allow the car to coast home. Had to have it towed three sepearte times during this event. My car was still under warranty and powertrain includes all internally lubed parts. Ford told me that the one specific part that needed replacing inside my transmission, which is internally lubed was not covered. This repair including towing cost me $2,400. 00 now there is another 2 recalls out on my very car for tcm/ transmission replace/shudder. This has been the most dangerous car I've ever owned. Every time I turn around I'm shelling out hundreds and now thousands of dollars for a car I am still paying on.

Fuel pump went out and had to be replaced in April 2019. Recently received a letter of fuel pump recall on my 2014 Ford Focus VIN 1fadp3f27el223879. My 2013 Ford Focus does not have a recall but is has the same engine, built at the same plant, and built within the same year.

Off and on for the past 2 months go out to start the car put it in reverse attempt to back up and the steering wheel becomes stuck it will not turn at all you have to give it 1 min and then try again and then it resumes normal, last summer was driving down the main highway the right headlight went out the next morning start the car and appears in screen default on the l lighting open the hood to see all electrical wires to the headlights were burnt where the bulb connects to the wire areas had to have all wiring redone and also new complete headlights, also 2 years ago was driving down the highway car stalls out I drift to the edge of the highway attempted several restarts would not restart had it towed and had to replace the fuel pump and relay switch.

Fuel tank collapse, have been having trouble with car at times not starting and even stop running while driving. Ford dealer said the tank has collapsed and needs new fuel tank , fuel pump and valve. Dealer charged $119. 00 to tell the problem and said it would cost 1,200. 00 to repair, so why isn't my car included in the recall? my 19 year old granddaughter, who drives car for school, has been forced to walk or find ride to get to her destination. I hope you can help me, this car problem has been going on about a year and half, Monday we finally found out the reason. What can I do to make Ford accountable.

Been waiting 2 months for fuel tank and or valve to fix recall. Vehicle shutters. Now I call about the parts coming in and the service writer (sr) states the fuel pump will be replaced as well. I tried to confirm this with Ford and they had no knowledge of fuel pump being added to the fix.

Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle the engine would suddenly stall when shifting to the drive position . Recently the vehicle would not start at all and was towed to the local dealer johnson brothers Ford( 7455 s. General bruce dr. Temple TX. 76502) who diagnosed that the canister purge valve, fuel tank and fuel pump needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the vehicle was included in the NHTSA recall campaign 18v735000(fuel ststem) but the parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was not yet notified. The failure mileage was 51,000. Jft.

On October 25, 2018 my car populated a cel code p0087 after ignition when the car was stationary. The car takes about 5 seconds to start half the time. The turbo is disabled and had reduced acceleration, which the dealer said was crawl mode. When I took it to the dealer, they said the code was caused by the defective purge valve damaging my fuel pump and would be covered under by recall 18s32. They said that my car is not safe to drive but that Ford has disapproved the request for a loaner car, and that parts are backordered. When I called Ford customer service on 1/4/2019, they said they do not provide loaner cars for this recall and advised me that me vehicle was safe to drive.
