The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus equipped with continental conti pro contact tires, size: 215/55r16 (na). While driving approximately 30 mph, the front passenger tire blew out without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact inspected the other tires on the vehicle and noticed that the front driver side, rear driver side, and rear passenger side tires all had bubbles in the sidewalls. The tires on the vehicle were the original tires and there was a noticeable vibration when driving. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 29,000.

In late may 2015, I noticed a bubble in my driver's side rear tire. I took my car to the dealership and they insisted that it was my fault. I had to pay to replace the tire. Now, not even two months later, I now have a bubble in my passenger side rear tire. The tires are from the same batch. The tires are continental contiprocontact 215/55r16 93h tires. With these being potential blowouts, these tires are unsafe. The bubbles must be a defect. I never had issues with the tires on my old car.

Complaint againt general altimax rt tires, size 195/60r15. Extreamly large bubbles in sidewalls in 3 out of 4 tires on our 2000 Ford Focus. I just purchased the 2 front tires 4/2/2014 and the back 2 tires July 2013. . 1 tire, right rear went flat the other day, found large hole in sidewall of tire, it apeared nothing had puntured the tire. I did not think nothing of it at 1st. Took car to Ford dealer to have tire repaced, which they did. While at the Ford dealer, they point out large bubbles in the sidewalls of both front tires, those 2 tires were just purchased a little more than 1 month ago and only driven 2870 miles. I called geneal tire company and they said to contact the seller of the tire, tire seller says to see the tire company to get addressed. The tire bubbles are very large and a dangerous condition, these tires could explode at any time, the car could not be driven with these tires. I just purchased 2 tires of a different brand for the front of the car, while I fight with general tire company. I worked as a technician for a Ford dealer for over 20 years, as my prior profession. I have never seen tires for huge bubbles like these general tires. These general tires are safety hazzard and should be recalled and I would not recommend them to anyone. I will never buy general tires again.

Was told by dealer that the hankook optimo h725 brand tires on my car have failed. I was advised not to drive the car for long trips, and to replace the tires ASAP. I have 24,000 miles on 3 of the tires and 16000 on another. I already had to replace one tire because of a sidewall bubble.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus with continental road tires, size: 215/ 50 r17. The contact stated that while traveling 40 mph the front passenger side tire exploded, causing the contact to slightly crash into a curb. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the tire was under inflated. The contact also stated that the rear passenger tire exhibited several bubbles on the side wall. The dealer punctured the bubbles in order to deflate the tire and stated that the front passenger side tire was defective because the tire was under inflated. The failure and the current mileages were 2,436.
On my 2002 Focus se my passanger front tire had a bubble- my car only has 17,000 miles on it. When I called the dealership I found it wasn't under warranty. The tires are seperate and had to be prorated for wear. The cost of the same tire plus the cost of the labor was almost a hundred dollars. I can't believe I am fixing someting I didn't cause. Ford won. I bought a new tire but from a different company.

Right rear bubble inside near rim, rt. Front bubble, went flat and inside of tire wall shredded appearance.
Ford Focus 2002 zx5 with 16" alloy wheels and firestone tires seems to be susceptible to road hazard damage more than other cars I have had. One bubbled tire, and another punctured tire within weeks of each other. The Focus alloy wheels are the worse problems. At least two have been bent to the point of causing steering and vibration problems on car. One wheel has two visible bumps, and one wheel has a massive bump from some surprise road holes. I have never had a car that had such weak rims. I am not replacing the wheels until I talk to either Ford or a lawyer.
Ford Focus is not even a year old and front left rim is starting to bend, which is causing the tire to bubble. Took the car to the dealership, they said even though under warranty they would not replace the tire. The dealership would not work with us what so ever. I believe the rim and the tire is a defect. Very frustrated!!!.
The right rear tire has a bubble on the sidewall. Firestone does not have available size to replace it and sent me home with it that way, which I thought rather careless. Furthermore, I have replace 2 tires, and nassar Ford replaced one tire. In the short amount of time I have owned the car, I have had 5 flats. Needless to say I have no confidence driving and firestone has offered no viable solution. Dt.

I bought a new Focus 01 in October 00. Yesterday, I recognized on the right rear side a significant bubble. Moreover, I checked all other tires, and all three remaining tires had deformations at the threads. I took pictures of all the tires and can provide if required. I showed them to my coworkers, and they did comment that this was unusual for them too. After work, I brought my car to moontownship Ford dealer in pittsburgh, they just said except the bubble such formations could occur, they said they were usual indentations. Moreover, I also called in the morning my dealer (parkway east Ford). One service man said that they had a similar case with Focus right at hand. But I forgot to get the service man's name. The next time I called them, nobody knew of such an occurance, which really disturbed me. The bubble and the so called huge expected "indentations" for such a new car is really unexpected and I hope this information is helpful and enough for you. Hope you can help me with this issue. Original tires on a Ford, Focus 2000, p20550r16 86h, dot # 0211314e4. Consumer took car in for a routine inspection, and they said that front passenger's tire had a big bubble. Consumer felt tire may separate. The dealer indicated the bubble was caused by pothole, but replaced it because it was unsafe to drive the vehicle under that condition.
T304579 cgw 74mmc e13 027430, where lettering "rsa" appears, 8 inches to left as looking at tire, and 4 inches to right before beginning of the word "goodyear" where area of wording goodyear is imprinted, down to almost area where tire strikes the ground, a bubble has appeared outwards, approximate size is 2 1/2 inches, outside is area of 1/4 top of golf ball size protrusion. Area is visible with no apparent damage to rim nor tire. Definite defect in this tire! if protrusion continues, it will grow outwards from the tire, and soon will be in an area underneath where tire strikes the ground! (dot number: ??????? tiresize: p195 60r15).
Consumer noticed that there are two bubbles on the front two tires. Consumer is starting to notice that when the vehicle hits a pothole a bubble forms.
Tire formed bubble only after a few months of ownership. Took car to firestone dealer and dealer ship. Both say the front right rim is bent that why the tire formed a bubble. They say the bubble was in a certain spot which tells them that I had to of hit a pothole. The tire was replaced with a new one. The old tire was sent to firestone for testing.
