Tl the contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. While operating the vehicle, the transmission would not shift into gear. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who replaced the transmission pump and torque converter. Approximately two months later, the transmission shift cable bushing detached and caused the vehicle to roll backwards. The vehicle was taken to town Ford (1680 whittlesey rd, columbus, GA), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 18v471000 (power train). The contact indicated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 137,000.
