I've had the car for about 8 months now. First the seats stopped moving back and forth. No warranty on the car so took it to my local Ford and they said it was off its track. A month later the same problem occurred and they said my seat stopped sending commands to the computer. Now three months later my car randomly started making a loud rattling noise. Got louder every time I started the car. So once again took it to my nearby Ford. They checked it out and said my flex plate has cracked all around and that it would be a $1600 repair. This car is still fairly new. Looked into it and it seems a lot of people are having the same experience and Ford is aware of the malfunction after many complaints but still has not made it a recall. Very upsetting that I will be without a car for a week and have to pay $1600 just to get it fixed when it seems to be a mass problem. Took it to a outside shop and they said they've heard about the problem before and it's more than just the flexplate but there's no one around that can do the job.

So I bought a 2016 Ford Fusion se and about two weeks later after just booking a hotel room went to move my Fusion to a closer parking spot and as soon as I started it the left side of the screen above steering wheel showed a box that read " steering assist fault service required". And there was no power steering at all. It also reads service advance track, and uphill parking assist unavailable.
Intake manifold cracked! my car is 2 months past warranty and Ford isn't willing to help me out. They have 2 other cars in for the same service repairs in waconia mn right now! the car shook/vibrating when I stared it.

The steering rack is very loose and dangerous- there is a recall on the newer models with the same rack - this is way more dangerous than an air bag that"may" deploy - this is dangerous all the time .

Bought the car less than 30 days ago. Washing the front windshield and noticed a hairline crack on the outside about 4-5 inches long. No damages of a rock hitting the windshield.

My driver side door will not open from the inside. Thru extensive research I have found that this seems to be an issue on the Fusions years 2007- 2012 models. It seems to be that a crack forms in the handle causing the cable to come out of place. This happens when the car is stationary.

2011 Ford Fusion while driving the power steering now and advancetrak warnings came on. Took to shop and was told rack and pinion needs to be replaced. Wanted to charge me $3000; I pick up my car and it's been working but I am afraid after reading everyone else's issues that this is bad.

I live mostly in florida when the temperature was 87 degrees my sun roof was open later in the day I closed the sun roof it was cracked I wasn't in the car when it cracked. I have an extended warranty but they refused the claim. I understand this is happening to a lot of vehicles. Ford denied the claim. The vehicle wasn't moving and in a parkig lot.

There is a grinding/pooping noise from front of vehicle when turning. The recall 15s18 was reprogrammed along recall 16b38 but the noise has continued and has gotten worse. When driving slow and turning to the left and right in a parking lot it is very noticeable the dealership stated the noise was coming from the steering rack.
I am filing this complaint due the number of documented occurrences of sun roofs cracking or exploding on Ford Fusion and other Ford branded vehicles. On 9/1/2017 while opening the sun roof heard pop sound. The sun roof opened about 5 inches. I returned it to the closed position and found the sun roof cracked in a rectangular pattern across the entire glass. The car had been parked from 9:00 am pst until 5:00 pm pst at my work site with all 4 windows cracked about 1/2 to 1 inch. As well I noticed that on the backseat driver side the head liner had detached from roof and below weather stripping. Attempted to push it back up but it will not stay after the sunroof cracked. Entering the car I rolled all windows down, turned on ac which was set at 64 degrees and then attempted to open the sun roof before driving off. All windows and open sun roof was to help evacuate warm air that remained in the car as it was parked during the day. Currently the car has 9961 miles on the odometer. Care is driven about 6 miles Monday - Friday from my home to work and back.
Went for my yearly inspection and was told that my cars front coil springs were cracked and it wasn't safe for me to drive my car. I feel this is premature failure on a car that has 52,000 miles on it. The only one who has serviced my car since I've owned it is heritage Ford. I have recently traveled long trips with my car too and haven't noticed any problems. Heritage for was unable to fix my vehicle because they didn't have the parts and its labor day weekend meaning it will take longer to get the parts unless they experdited it. (this is the only car I have and own).
Car was turned off and parked in driveway when I realized that the driver side door would not open. The inside handle was inoperable and to exit the vehicle I had to climb across console and passenger seat. The car was driven to Ford dealer where mechanic verified after removing interior door panel the door handle assembly was cracked. The repair cost without tax was $209. 42 which included part #6e5z*5422601*a @ $61. 07 and labor @ $139. 95. While waiting for my repair another customer bought their new Ford Fusion in for the same issue which led me to question service advisor and sales manager who both advised there were no recall issue with interior door handles.
Primewell valera touring ii tires cracking on the sidewalls and interior after under 2 years of use. Multiple other sizes are recalled for the same problem under the same model and are made of the same material. The entire tire model needs to be recalled not just specific sizes. It is an extreme safety hazard for all drivers on the road. I risked my tire exploding and crashing as a result of faulty manufacturing and the use of cheap materials.
My throttle body is giving me issues. It will hesitate and react as if it will stall on occasion when I am on the highway, it will jerk badly. No engine lights appear on my dash, however I was notified by Ford there is a replacement extended warranty, yet that extension does not cover the initial charge from the dealer to check the throttle body out, which is dead wrong of Ford. I believe they should cover any and all charges regarding this the throttle body. In addition my vehicles rack and pinion or pwer steering sueels alot while in driving, ive check fluid levels and they are normal, yet it will make alot of noise.
Cracking and creaking underneath when temp outside is above about 70 degrees, very loud, possible struts, when turning wheel left or right also very loud creak or pop. I looked online and there are 100's of these issues reported. This has to be a recall, safety issue.
Car will hesitate when going down a hill and then accelerate, when try to accelerate the car will jerk and hesitate(2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017). . The rpm drops during these incidents and has reported to the service dept at capital Ford a few times since purchased the vehicle brand new in 2014(2014,2015,2016,2017,2018). Have replace lug nuts a few times (factory issued) they keep swelling and cracking(2016,2017& 2019). Oil leak between the engine and transmission(6/1/19). Dates varies. Problems still exist and on going.

My 2015 Ford Fusion was parked outside in our company's parking lot in the morning and upon returning to the car in the afternoon (temp was in the 90's) there was a crack across the sunroof from left to right. Although the sunroof did not explode while driving and no one touched the car while it was parked, this should be investigated as a widespread defect in the manufacturing of the glass used in Ford's sunroofs as it poses a safety hazard if something like this happens while driving or if it shatters, showering the driver with glass.
Vehicle was just parked in the driveway and as I exited the car I noticed something odd across the top of the windshield. It was yellowish in color and appeared to have a dripping bubble look to it. Contacted my Ford dealership and Ford motor CO. , to see about having this obviously defective, unsafe windshield replaced. Apparently, it's not their problem. Spoke with reputable windshield installers and they stated that the windshield is separating and will be a safety issue when this separation continues to worsen, especially with winter just around the corner. The windshield will splinter and crack, weaken and eventually break. According to the gentleman I spoke with he stated that he has had numerous Ford Fusions coming in all the time for windshield replacement due to this separation problem. I drive this car with other passengers and my grandchild. I consider this to be a huge safety issue factor. I'm now forced to install a new windshield, because Ford motor company does not feel this is their problem and will only put an offer on the table if you play by their rules! where is the righteousness and safety concern with this windshield problem. Folks if you own a Fusion check the top of your windshield and make sure it's not separating and becoming a safety issue.
Christine brackett: the inside door handle broke on front passenger side and driver side. They have been breaking for over two years now. The price to fix this is going to be 243. 50 and the Ford motor company will not fix it and will not give a percentage off. I am not the only one who is having this problem. It is all over the internet ways to fix this problem because Ford will not fix. Or do anything. This is a saftey haxzard if you have a wreck or imerge in water you would not be able to get out. I think your department needs to get involved. . . . They recall the Ford f150 for the same thing, I am 68 years old and if I get into a wreck they will be no way for me to get out of my car.

While driving, the car began to shake and jerk like the engine wanted to die. Then I lost engine power. The car still had power and was on, but there was no throttle when I pushed the gas. The engine light and a little wrench came on. I put it in park, turned it off, restarted it, and it still had no engine throttle to it. But the car had a small amount of power, like I was coasting along, so that I could get through the stop light and make it to the side of the road. Every time I tried the gas pedal though, there was no response; it went to the floor. I was at the light by my neighborhood, right by the train tracks. Thank god I had enough power to get through that!.
Power steering suddenly went out while traveling at 34-35 mph. Car dash provided a power steering failure notice and a service advanced track notice. Called dealership and am waiting on call back from my service adviser. Was in a straight away, thankfully not turning.
When I was driving my car, I came to a red light and a yellow warning message popped up on the screen, "power steering assist fault. " it's a brand new car with 2,800 miles, seriously? it also happened again two weeks later when I was driving. I hadn't noticed any steering problems with my car. I took my car to the Ford dealer right away where I got it from. As always they said I would need to bring my car in for the day, and that "they would look into it. " when the service worker looked up the problem I was experiencing on their program, nothing was reported like mine so they couldn't really do much. I had to research the problem myself online because they always tend to think you're making these problems up. That's when I stumbled upon a couple different forums of people who have had the exact same problem. One person did say they're whole power steering rack had to be replaced. I brought that information to the Ford dealership and I'm waiting for a response of what and if they're going to do next.
Driving at city speeds and the power steering completely fails. Turn the vehicle off and then on again and it fixes the problem. Drive some more and a few days later, it happens again. A few days later, it completely goes. Take the car to the local Ford dealer and am charged $1832. 35 for a new rack and pinion. Ladies and gentlemen, a rack and pinion won't fix itself if you turn the car on and off. I did some research on this problem on line at Fordfusionforum. Com. It seems to be an abs module, not the rack and pinion. Called Ford today and they said no reimbursement was possible. A new rack and pinion for a car with only 21 thousand miles on it? crazy.
While driving my 2010 Ford Fusion, at a normal speed of 45 mph, the car's acceleration cut off completely while driving on the road. I noticed this when I pushed on the gas pedal and noticed that I could not accelerate or move my car beside coasting. Luckily, I was able to safely get off the road, however, if I was on the highway, I might have gotten in to an accident. After parking my car, I noticed the rpms were jumping a bit, and an orange wrench appeared on my dashboard signal. I turn off the vehicle, and tried turning it on again. The vehicle gave a slight hesitation and then started right up. This incident happened one other time with the same result. I took my car to the dealership to get fixed, and they indicated that this was a very common issue they have been seeing with my vehicle. The problem related to the throttle body, in which gets stuck and shuts down the engine. They indicated that this was a wide spread issue that is currently being investigated. My complaint is that this is a potential hazard that could cause an accident involving injury or death. This part needs to be recalled, as it is a common occurrence in my vehicle. I am lucky I was able to guide my car off the road. Had I been on the highway or on the train tracks, I could have caused a serious accident.
Car bucked then completely died (in the middle of the street)! lights that came stop safely now, wrench, engine, triangle with exclamation point. Took a few times to start back up. Took it to the dealer and they said they did not have a code but did not find anything wrong. A few days later, it happened again. This time in the middle of the intersection! ( same codes) brought it to dealer again, this time apparently they found the code. The dealer said gas was going in the wrong place and replaced a valve. It has since happened more than five times, all happening at less than 5 mph when starting after a stop. Currently with another Ford dealership (given the previous one cracked the windshield but claimed it was already there, not to mention the poor service to the car). This latest incident we had the car towed. This was at the recommendation of the Ford regional representative who has been extremely helpful. (by the way, this Fusion is a hybrid. ) currently waiting for diagnosis.
