Took car in may to hemborg Ford they replaced my brake bumper it was on recall. Took car back on August 3 of 2026 brake lights staying on. Had them recheck the recall again thought it might be that. I was told it was not the issue. I needed to change out brake switch and had to pay diagnostic fee so a total of just under 300. My brake lights stay on while driving my car and when we park the car. They had my car 3 days then picked up my car on August 5 drove it home and immediately noticed still having the same issues. Brake lights on even after I called dealer and brought car back in. They kept my car 2 more days then I received a call it would be 200 for a brake flush they were confident that it would fix the light issue. And now we would we have to pay for another repair. A brake flush for brake lights staying on didn’t make sense. We felt we were being upsold for something we didn’t need and they had no answere for us! we declined the second repair and picked up car on 8/07/2026 and still the brake lights are staying on while driving the car. We woke up to looking out our window and noticed lights were on . Mind you the car had not been driven for hrs and the lights turned themselves on while car was parked. Skip to Sunday driving home from in laws and dash lights up. It says hillside assist and yellow wrench pops up. I fear my daughters safety and feel it is unsafe now. Called Ford to make a complaint. But meanwhile I have a car that we need but feel unsafe to drive. Our car is having more issues than when we took it in to the dealer. I need a resolution but what I really need is my money back so that I can take the car elsewhere! I feel car was misdiagnosed and I should not have to pay for their mistake. No options were given just to pay for more repairs. We asked for past invoices to be printed so I can keep a copy. Was told they cannot print past invoices. I felt we were taken advantage of we should get our money back for a diagnosis that was not repaired.

The back up camera recall has been open since 10/2025 . I was backing up using the camera than it just went blank.

On 7/8/2026, the vehicle became undriveable. Placing the vehicle in reverse on the shidfter dial using registered a conflicting direction on the dashboard indicator. The vehicle was towed to a dealership and the repair consisted of replacing the shift cable bushing. This was the same fix required in recalls 18s20 & 22v413. On 7/9/2026 the issue was verified by a Ford dealership tech. I was advised that the protective cap is now contained in the repair kit with the shift cable bushing. A brief fleeting warning on the screen indicated a "shift fault - see manual" or words to that effect. The manual only seemed to reference a "steering fault" Ford hq was notified - reference cxh-08533100.

My backup camera is malfunctioning and Ford denied to fit it through their 15 year extended warranty on backup cameras.

My rear view camera hasn’t worked since October 2025 and I’ve had multiple incidents where I’m reversing and almost hit a pedestrian. . This is a big problem for me because im used to having my rear view camera. . I don’t understand why it’s taking so long to find a simple fix to this issue. . I’ve waited for almost a year and still nothing. . When will this issue be resolved?.

The door entry control numbers are on all the time now which will cause the battery to drain if the car is not driven daily. It says that water from a car wash or rain has gotten in behind the door control panel.

Unknown: left rear door latch is not working, door keeps open after trying to closed it. Safety issue is door opens by accident during driving!.

My drivers side door would not latch due to what I assume is issue that was recalled on similar vehicles.

Good aftrrnoon and I hope all is well. My cars check engine light is on and the dealer states it’s the cannister purge valve. I showed them that there is a recall (part 573 safety recall - NHTSA recall #26v369) but they will not accept it because it’s not showing my car needing it to be changed on the NHTSA website. They are saying it will cost $1995. 00 to fix the issue. This is stopping me from obtaining an inspection sticker and I’ve received tickets. Can you confirm that my vehicle is part of this recall.

Backup camera doesn’t work.

The vehicle goes into limp mode without warning no matter the speed. Cylinder head temp sensor is not applicable on this 1. 6 engine model. The coolant over temp light illuminates with or without the car running. Coolant temperature sensor was replaced and indicates no faults to the obd. The coolant level and temperature is within spec.

A power steering assist fault warning popped up on my vehicle after starting my car. It’s now extremely difficult to turn the wheel. There was no previous indication that there was an issue with the power steering.

No incident - back up camera issue. Glitches often, then goes black and does not work. Have also received error messages indicating "camera is unavailable. Please contact your dealership. " has happened a few times in the past but is now happening more often.

Very frequently, the rear view camera will stop working, glitch and go black. Then give the message, camera is unavailable.

I was rear ended while parked at a stop light, the force of the impact drove me into the vehicle in front of me. During the accident my seatbelt pretensioner failed to work at the same time my sun visor unexpectedly dropped down swung towards me and my head struck the edge of the visor which made a gash in my forehead down in between my eyes, there was blood visibly running down my nose at the scene of the accident. I went to the er afterwards to seek medical attention. 3 days after the accident I suffered a seizure, I have no prior seizures before this incident. Since the accident I’ve continued to have headaches, signs of short term memory loss, and having trouble finding words sometimes.

Coolant leak into engine block, Ford dealership said $8,000 to replace engine cars only at 65k miles. Problem is from manufacturer defect in the 2. 0l tt turbo engines in Fusions and should be recalled as it’s not the owner/operators wrong doings.

Rear backup camera keeps malfunctioning. The display screen from camera glitches or goes black and eventually it will state that rear camera is not available.

The backup camera is faulty and will sporadically stop working. Sometimes it will stop working in the middle of backing up. When it doesn't work the screen will either go black, flicker on and off, show a reversed image, or show an image with blue lines through it. This has put my safety at risk multiple times as I've been backing up and suddenly the image will disappear. We've taken the car into an independent service shop. They were unable to solve the issue and their only solution was to replace the system for $600. There was no warning before this started happening, however it does seem to be getting worse as time goes on. It only works about 10% of the time now.

The car will not shift. The bushing or shift cable is broken.

The backup assisting camera is no longer working properly, causing a safety issue while reversing. There are recalls on this from 2015 to 2019 but not 2014 even though the same issue is happening with the 2014's.

Vehicle would not recognize car being in park. Displayed warning messages: shift sys fault confirm park brake before exiting vehicle. Transmission not in park.

Back-up camera shuts off during operation. Works intermittently and never for a full operation. This is a 2016 vehicle. Ford has be unable to remedy the situation. Camera has been replaced as well as software updates installed. No fix in sight.

The rearview is not working consistently and caused me to back into a pole.

The rear camera intermittently fails or displays a distorted image. I reported the issue to our local Ford dealership in April/may 2022, but at that time the necessary replacement parts were not available or in service. This was probably related to the various covid 19 pandemic parts supply issues. Yesterday, while the car was being backed out of our garage, a young child was playing in the driveway directly in the vehicle’s rear blind spot. As usual, the camera was not functioning. Fortunately, an adult supervising the child noticed the situation and intervened, preventing what could have been a terrible tragedy. We have seen news reports about recalls addressing rear camera issues in many Ford vehicles—yet not for our 2015 Ford Fusion. How many serious incidents must occur before Ford takes action to correct this problem?.

Shifter cable broke in multiple vehicles of the same year make and model in our fleet of vehicles within a short amount of time. Car would not change gears properly. Issue confirmed and fixed by a local mechanic shop. No warning messages or other symptoms prior to failure.

Purge solenoid unplugged, several times for years, which causes the vehicle not to start up after getting fuel. Check engine light come on often due to this. When I bring vehicle to mecanic shop they plug it right back. P0443 evap purge control valve “a” circuit.

1. My car began to produce white smoke after a burning smell. Then caught fire under the hood in engine area. The car is buried in snow/ice, not available to access. 2. The car caught fire. 3. The problem has not been reproduced nor confirmed by anyone (dealer/independent service center) 4. No, due to weather conditions. (blizzard) 5. Only the burning smell and white smoke.

Rear camera all of a sudden stops working and says "rear camera not available", creating unsafe conditions when backing up. Common issue on Ford Fusions, for which there's a recall recently announced for the 2016 model year but not for 2017, even though same signs and symptoms and vehicle otherwise. Last month, while transporting my brother to his arm surgery in chapel hill, nc, I observed unusual and audible shifting behavior when engaging the vehicle's sport mode. This mode is typically utilized for extended journeys on highways and interstates. Although the anomaly was brief, I did not initially consider it significant. Several weeks later, upon departing from my community college campus, I encountered a red light near santa fe drive. The vehicle exhibited a hesitant and labored acceleration, eventually moving forward. This incident was particularly concerning given the high volume of traffic during that time of day. I subsequently stopped at a nearby 7-eleven for fuel, suspecting a low fuel level might be the cause. No engine warning lights or mechanical indicators were illuminated, and the oil life was at 70% with appropriate oil levels. Fast forward to the last week of January. On Wednesday the 28th, I began to notice recurring shifting issues with the vehicle during a class break. Additionally, engaging reverse consistently resulted in a harsh shift. As I was leaving my neighborhood to return to class, the vehicle completely failed to engage gears or accelerate. At this point, both the wrench and check engine warning lights illuminated. Upon returning home, I utilized the code reader provided by my mother last christmas, which displayed the code "p0772. " this confirmed my prior research regarding potential issues with the ecoboost engine. I am relieved that this mechanical failure did not occur amidst the heavy traffic typically found on 210 murchison south , I-295, bragg blvd fayetteville/spring lake and other routes heavily trafficked due to the military base. The high speeds on these roads could have led to a dangerous situation, potentially causing a rear-end accident or other involving other drivers who may be speeding or inattentive. I am grateful that I did not experience a stall in the middle of traffic, which could have compromised my safety.

Transmission valve body w/solenoid, diagnostic.

My rear reverse camera has not been working properly. Sometimes the screen is completely black, sometimes the screen has lines in it , sometimes the camera acts like it is moving. It is very disturbing and dangerous. This is not weather related because it happens when it's sunny or raining. I can go a couple of days with out any issues and then randomly it has these issues. This has been going on for a while now so there isn't a particular day. This started happening early last year 2025.

The vehicle will stall or “putter” when slowing down or coming to a stop, often without warning. When this occurs, the engine shuts off and the vehicle must be put into park and restarted. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times, including by dealerships, but the issue could not be identified due to the absence of fault codes. This appears to be a design or component defect that does not reliably trigger diagnostic warnings. I am reporting this as a safety-related defect involving unexpected engine stalling and loss of power. The date I marked you asked below is the most current but as I stated it’s been happening since a month after purchasing the car brand new.
