Backup camera broken, works only at random times. The dealer confirmed today it needs to be replaced. Other 2015 Ford Fusions have already been recalled for this issue. I am asking you to expand it to include his VIN.

Sunroof is leaking and maybe other areas. But it’s getting the ceiling wet around front are of the sunroof and starting to effect the radio playing and eventually probably the buttons on the ceiling.

The backup camera on our 2016 Ford Fusion has worked intermittently for quite some time now. (couple of years at least. ) sometimes when we shift to reverse we get a black display screen, sometimes we get a distorted image, sometimes we get a message saying no camera is available, other times it works normally. The symptoms sound like the ones described the vehicles that are involved in the current rearview camera recall. I had seen rearview camera recalls for Ford products in the past and expected our car to be covered eventually since the symptoms sounded so similar. We have not taken it for repair at our dealer as we have been waiting for a recall. Reporting it now in the hopes that the recall will be expanded to other models that seem to have similar safety issues.

My 2016 Ford Fusion eco boost suddenly began overheating and the sensor would go off then on. I can’t even drive 10 feet. This problem has been consistently happening even after multiple repairs.

I recently bought a gear shift bushing cap for the cable since the cable is loose. I bought the part at tasca Ford in cranston, ri. The part was hard to find. It’s the same issue as the recall for the same car b ur years prior. Cap disintegrated since its plastic and next to the engine. The most recent part I bought that was used as genuine replacement has also disintegrated. I can see the pieces of it corroded. I need to buy another one but it’s going to happen again since it’s a faulty design. The first time it happened months ago caused my car to go into park. I couldn’t move it out of the way in the street. It would let me put it in neutral. The second time it happened today the car got stuck in neutral and it took many tries to get it into park. Everything is in tact except the plastic bushing cap and part that clips the cable to the vehicle is corroded. Simple fix but unsafe and happens randomly.

First, we will start with every time I turn my car to the left the steering wheel box and the brakes skid then the abs sensor comes on then we will start with the car every time I put it into a gear. It automatically goes back to park, and I cannot move the car in any direction. When the issue first started, I could reverse then when I put the car and drive in the middle of the street it would automatically go back to park which could cause a crash I only have video proof of this.

My car is at 119,000 miles and 2019 Ford Fusion. I was driving on a local street when my cars warning popped up with a notice that my cars coolant was overheated. I immediately pulled over and turned off the car. My cars coolant tank was completely depleted. The problem was determined to be a coolant leak into cylinder 2. The check engine code of p0302 misfire on #2 cylinder. This issue had the potential to result in an engine fire and severe injury.

The backup camera is not working right it's either fuzzy or it's black and sometimes it is showing on opposite direction causing me to almost have a huge accident with my children inside this is currently still happening and started over 2 months ago.

My complaint is, why does my 2016 Ford Fusion 1. 5l 4-cylinder ecoboost engine continue to be excluded from these major recalls? it's not fair as I deserve to have my engine, clock spring, & my rear view camera replaced just like the other Ford vehicles! I purchased my 2016 Fusion in 2018 & only a couple of years later I started having problems with the rear view camera but the dealership said that it wasn't covered under the warranty. I have always smelled engine coolant & oil but was always told that there is nothing leaking on the ground so there's nothing to worry about. Also I reached out to you guys in 2024 with the gmail address of [xxx] ) about my steering wheel clock spring & never heard anything back, so I purchased a new one on [xxx] & replaced it myself when it arrived. Also earlier that day, I had my valve cover replaced at brad howell Ford in kokomo, in because I have been constantly losing oil & smelling oil burning. Even after that, I continued to smell oil & engine coolant but still get told that there's nothing leaking. Well my next oil change after that, I told them to check again because I had to add more oil, & that's when they determined that it was the turbo drain tube, which they replaced on Nov. 5, 2024. That stopped the oil smell, but I continued to smell engine coolant which I continued to report to them, & at each oil change, they continued to top off the engine coolant. On Aug. 12, 2025 brad howell Ford decided to run a camera down into my cylinders & discovered that there's oil & coolant leaking down into my #2 cylinder. I contacted tonia frataccia, customer experience specialist, Ford cx/team, & I was told that my VIN# didn't make the recall list & that's why my engine wasn't replaced. It's not fair as my vehicle has the same defective engine & parts as the other recall vehicles & I deserve to have my car repaired also at Fords expense. Please help me, I need my car. The rearview camera does not display properly. The image is flipped which can cause confusion when using the camera to check for traffic. Sometimes the camera does not come on/display images when shifting into reverse. Also at night the camera is streaky so one is unable to see images in the camera. I noticed there was a recall for the rearview camera but my make/model/year was not included but I am experiencing issues with the rearview camera.

7/24/25 Ford dealer replaced airbag recall, however, the caution light still lights up, like there is still a problem. To do a diagnostic why , they will not cover the cost. Is it possible that the new airbag still has a problem and should they cover the cost of diagnostic problem.

Engine has cylinders flooding with coolant due to the design of the ecoboost engine.

The car issued no warning, lights or messages prior to the damage. My [xxx] son was driving and the car started shaking which really scared him as he’s a new driver. I would say the safety of him and other drivers on the road were definitely put in danger. The vehicle has been inspected by a Ford dealership. They stated it had a broken flex plate and short block. When in reverse the backup camera glitches sometime, it doesn’t even come on. There’s a knocking under the hood. I’ve been told that is the fuel pump . After getting gas and trying to turn the ignition back on it stalls, it takes sometimes 3 to 4 tries before getting it started. After having repairs done to brakes, tires, and more, the abs light is still on and sometimes the brakes act like they don’t wanna stop. I only have a picture where the camera is not working. It’s glitching. I’ve taken it to shops, but forgot to get the invoice to know in reference to everything else that’s going on. I haven’t made any repairs yet that’s in the works.

Rearview camera goes blank or sometimes freezes. Problem is intermittent but a safety issue due to affecting the visual display.

I was driving on the expressway. My car went into limp mode it didn’t stall completely out, but I was not able to accelerate any eventually the wheel became tight. Every light came on. . I made it safely off the expressway. My car would not start the odb port is not reading. I’ve taken it to several mechanics all of them say that it’s my pcm. They said my pcm needs to be reprogrammed. There’s currently an active recall from my exact car but when I search my VIN it tells me I have no active recalls.

My backup rear camera does not work more than half the time. The screen will go black or just not change at all and it will also say camera unavailable contact dealership. I have not been able to take it anywhere to get it looked at due to money issues. No warnings or anything. Just started one day in July 2025 and has kept doing it ever since.

No accident just looking to fix the recall.

My daughters’s 2019 Ford Fusion/4dr sdn/sel/fwd began to run hot and my son checked and notice low on coolant. He filled back up and vehicle ran with no problems. A day or so later noticed again and my husband checked again and realized again and low again and checked all and no apparant leak in lines or hoses but short drive again to check it began to overheat and check engine light came on and he read up and becoming aware of issue with this coolant leak into cylinder. He took to sullivan Ford dealership and confirmed pressure test of coolant in cylinder # 1 and had to replace engine assembly. No offer by Ford to assist. Total cost 10,115. 66 for know issue per faulty engine design that was risk for fire and safety issue.

The overheat light came on and antifreeze was leaking into the number 4 cylinder of the spark plug, sometimes it would lose a little power.

Backup camera seldom works. It will often display an error once gear is shifted into reverse that the camera is unavailable. Other times it will glitch into a blue screen and then display the error message, or it I’ll work with no issue. This issue began about three weeks ago.

Rear passenger seat belt will not release lock/tension/broken. Will not allow rear occupants to buckle in. Safety issue. Seems to happen on most 2013+ Ford vehicles specifically trims like titanium with a 'inflatable belt" this issue should be recalled free of charge, it is a major safety issue not to be able to use a seatbelt. The best remedy would be inspect and replacement of broken components. Both occurred over 80k miles one being a truck (entirely different vehicle).

What malfunctioned- car did not give any notice that it was in engine failure for months other than under performing and upon taking it to the Ford dealership was never helped with the problem they took money for an oil change and works package but failed to make sure my car was safe. My car was a safety hazard bc it gave zero warning that it was loosing power and when the engine did fail I knew something had been wrong for almost a year and felt it went ignored by Ford and was taken advantage of. The product has been confirmed by multiple mechanics that what causes it is the hose cracks and thus the engine coolant wrecks a working engine. Ford knows it’s a problem but isn’t acknowledging it and makes more money off of parts.

The rear backup camera when in reverse shows a blank screen. When switched to park or drive, a message appears on the screen that says camera unavailable with a warning sign. This began early June 2025. It does not happen every time but it is more often than not. I have had this looked at by a Ford authorized dealer however the problem would not arise for them to see it in action. Yes I can use my mirrors but it is useless to have a safety tool on a vehicle that is defective.

Back up camera cuts in and out, sometimes works correctly, other times doesn't come on at all, other times comes on and in the middle of backing up shuts off, this has been going on for years and now I am seeing recalls by Ford of other models being recalled for back-up camera failures and I believe the recall should include 2016 Ford Fusions.

Recent problem with the backup camera on a 2014 Ford Fusion hybrid that intermittently shows the image in reverse- right is left and left is right. This is very dangerous when backing up . Ford is aware of the problem and has recalls on other models with the same problem but not ours.

The contact owned a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked at the contact's work parking lot, the vehicle caught on fire due to unknown reasons. A security guard discovered the fire, and called the fire department extinguished the fire. A fire report was filed. No police report was filed. The contact was at work during the incident, and it was not until he finished his shift that he discovered that his vehicle had caught on fire. The contact believed the fire started from the engine area, per witnesses. The vehicle was towed to a local towing yard. The contact notified his insurance company and deemed the vehicle totaled. The fire spread and damaged several vehicles parked nearby. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 127,000.

While driving car it begins to shaking and unable to accelerate than cuts off, will sometimes restart and can drive but does the same thing again, during this process a wrench symbol and check engine light come on. Had spark plugs replaced the first time, still was doing it. Also the throttle body removed and cleaned continued, so replaced throttle completely it’s been 2 days no issue so far, but the car belongs to my daughter and it happened while she was driving car was purchased used a year ago, this is the first time we had this issue not sure if previous owners experienced same issues.

When parking I attempted to put the vehicle in reverse and a warning light came on "shift system failure", and the shifter cable locked in placed flashing causing the car to lock without the ability to move. Shift cable bushing is split causing dislodge from the fitting.

My car is at 47,000 miles and I started to hear a loud noise . Turns out Ford says it’s the flywheel, transmission pump, and torque converter per Ford technician who completed my inspection . No warning lights came on nor was there any alerts the Ford app. My 2020 Ford Fusion with approximately 48,000 miles experienced a cracked flexplate. This caused severe engine vibration, knocking sounds, and ultimately loss of power while driving. A cracked flexplate can lead to sudden engine stalling or failure to accelerate, especially at highway speeds or during intersections. This puts the driver and passengers at serious risk of a crash due to unexpected loss of power or control. This issue happened without warning and is a known problem in vehicles with the 2. 0l ecoboost engine and 6f35 transmission. Ford is aware of the issue (customer satisfaction program 22n12), but my VIN was not included, even though the symptoms and components match the defect. I am reporting this because it jeopardized my safety and others on the road, and I believe more vehicles should be covered under the existing csp or a recall.

When starting the car this morning, I noticed that the steering wheel was driving kind of stiff and the car was kind of losing control while I was accelerating down the street. A while later in the day, my wrench light came on and then turned off, but a couple of months later a warning light came on saying hillside assist not available, and then another warning light popped up after that one saying service advance trac. So I turned the car off and attempted to restart it and the lights stayed on.

The back up camera does absolutely nothing to notify the driver if it's getting too close to something or someone. It does not show the green, yellow or red lines as you're reversing and it does not even beep when approaching something too closely. It's just there. No purpose. There luckily had been no incidents so I put today's date as I fill in this form.
