I would like to respectfully request that my 2018 Ford Fusion, with the 1. 5l ecoboost engine, be considered for inclusion in the customer satisfaction programs related to the engine issues I'm experiencing. Despite my vehicle not being initially listed, the problems I've encountered, including the diagnostic trouble code p0302 and the coolant leak into cylinder #2, suggest that it may be suffering from a similar defect or design flaw that the program aims to address. Given the safety risks associated with the current condition of my vehicle, I believe it would be fair and reasonable to include it in the program and provide the necessary repairs or replacements to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate. I would appreciate your assistance in facilitating this process and exploring options for resolving this issue in a manner consistent with the treatment of similar vehicles.

Coolant intrusion, coolant and oil is mixing causing my car to run hot. Engine light keeps coming on, repairs to multiple pumps replaced, water pump replaced, spark plugs replaced, radiator replaced, thermostat replaced. Ford dealership tried replacing all the above vehicle is still running hot. Now claiming I need a new engine.
Shift lever does not select accurate gear due to worn bushing (NHTSA 22v-413, oem 22s43): a degrading bushing attaching the shifter cable to the transmission in certain 2013-2019 Ford vehicles, including the 2016 Fusion, may detach, preventing proper gear selection and potentially causing unexpected movement. Dealers will replace the bushing and add a protective cap.

My 2020 Ford Fusion has experienced three separate flexplate failures, as well as transmission issues following the most recent repair. Failure #1: occurred before I owned the vehicle (confirmed later in the vehicle’s history). The flexplate was replaced by a prior owner in 2022. Failure #2: [8/2023] – while I owned the vehicle, a loud rattling noise came from the engine area. My vehicle was towed to foothill Ford, where it was purchased, and they replaced the flexplate. No power loss occurred. Failure #3: [5/2025] – the same rattling sound returned. I drove it to green Ford, who confirmed the flexplate needed to be replaced, and they replaced it. No power loss occurred, but the noise was severe. After the third flexplate replacement, the transmission began slipping during acceleration. This issue did not exist before the repair, and green Ford had told me the transmission was fine before they replaced the flexplate. Safety concern: repeated flexplate failures and subsequent transmission slipping could cause loss of propulsion or difficulty maintaining speed if the problem occurs at highway speeds or in heavy traffic, creating a potential crash risk. I did lose power on the highway, but was able to pull safely off the shoulder and called a tow truck.
I had multiple coolant leaks in the pass and I have to constantly replace the hose about every 2000-3000 miles also my screen went out in my dashboard causing me to not be able to make any audio changes or station adjustments in my car lastly whenever I get ready to increase my speed my car jerks back.

At approximately 67,180 miles, a Ford dealership performed a multi-point inspection on my 2018 Ford Fusion se with the 1. 5l ecoboost engine due to a check engine light on. The Ford dealership diagnosed the vehicle with a coolant intrusion into cylinder 2. The Ford dealership recommended the replacement of the short block and gasket kit, with an estimated repair cost of $7,465. This type of issue diagnosed for my vehicle is a known failure issue for 1. 5l Ford ecoboost engines documented in customer satisfaction program 21n12, which covers coolant intrusion and engine damage in this engine type. Despite the Ford dealership diagnosis of my vehicle matching what is described in customer satisfaction program 21n12, I was informed that my vehicle is not eligible. The coolant intrusion into cylinder 2 is an issue that poses a safety risk due to engine misfires, stalling, overheating, and possible sudden loss of engine power while driving. In my case, my vehicle has become unreliable and unsafe for regular driving. A Ford dealership inspected the vehicle, confirmed and documented the issue, and the repair quote, diagnostic report and diagnostic payment receipt are available upon request. Ford has declined assistance despite the vehicle’s low mileage and clear alignment with known engine defects. I mailed a formal appeal letter to Ford motor company and I am filing a complaint with my state attorney general. This widespread issue affects customer safety, and vehicle safety standards and deserves further investigation, as many other Ford owners of vehicles with 1. 5l ecoboost engines have reported similar failures.
Unknown. Car will not start, dashboard says overheating, white smoke was coming out of muffler but stopped and etc.
The temp gauge suddenly jumped up and alert said coolant was low. Driving on freeway, car shut down before I could get into a shoulder. Big rigs swerving around me, could have been killed. No leaks under car. Cap off the coolant reservoir and the coolant level bubbles up back to normal. After that, even driving one mile makes the temp gauge jump up and drop down erratically. Quoted more thank $8,000 to repair because it requires a new engine? Ford dealership said this is very common issue for Ford Fusions, that it is a design flaw and many of their clients have had similar safety scares.

Just got my car I’m financing (used) it’s been giving me problems since I got it slow acceleration, overheat . , engine stalling start and go option isn’t working . Can I have a professional assist me with a recall maintenance please.
I believe my 2017 Ford Fusion should be included in the recall for the becm for the 2019-2020 because my charging port has a sticker with qr code and ( cd391 phev ) and I keep having intermittent problems with the battery energy control module.

Over the course of 3 weeks I started to notice a strong smell of gasoline after filling my fuel tank that lasted for about the first quarter of the tank. I did look around the car and under it to see if I could observe a leak, but saw nothing upon visual inspection. After about 3 weeks I observed a very strong smell of gasoline when I walked out to the car in the morning and observed gasoline on the rim of the passenger side tire as well as on the ground by the tire. At that point I looked up recalls on the 2015 Fusion and did find one on the fuel system but was advised that it is not active on my VIN. I took my car to a local shop where they found that both fuel senders were wet and leaking thus causing the fuel leak.

Vehicle loses power while driving, with no response when accelerator is depressed further. The engine continues to run but no throttle response. No engine warning light came on. No codes stored. Must stop, turn off engine and perform an engine restart to continue driving again.
There is a recall on 2017 Ford Fusion's torque converter. I currently have a 2017 Ford Fusion. After inspection at a Ford service dealership, the "torque converter clutch internally failed filling the transmission filter with metal debris and starving the pump for fluid causing debris to go throughout the transmission. " the problem with this, is that even though it's list as a recall for ,y specific car, the recall is not listed under my VIN number. This inspection was done on December 17, 2024. The safety of myself and children were put at risk when my car hesitated to accelerate on multiple occurrences on busy roads and intersections. The problem has been reproduced by a Ford dealer and has also been inspected by a Ford service dealership. There were no warning lights on indicating that there was a problem.
Two recalls for this make year and model car had been recalled previously but not for my VIN specifically and the issues are appearing. The first is “doors may open driving” recall on your website and the second is “engine cylinder head may leaks oil” which is also on ur website. Both were recalled for this make and year of the Ford Fusion but not for my VIN so Ford is stating they cannot fix it and want to charge me even for a diagnostic.
2019 Ford Fusion se 1. 5l. Not made aware of csp on my car. Have dealer notes saying my car wasn’t listen in oasis for notification. Although when I found the csp online my car is an “affected vehicle”. I now have low coolant, white exhaust smoke and severe knocking from my engine. I had a first ever reported issue to the dealership in 05/2023 where my car stalled out and dash lights illuminated. They ran codes and the only documented code in the service paperwork was p0222. They found a “chaffed wire”. They did not upgrade my pcm. Although by 05/2023 that was the recommendation on the csp for the dealership to do after previously failed bandaid fixes by Ford. My car will be going to the dealership on 12/9/24 to address my concerns and request all of my detailed service records. And really figure out why exactly the dealership didn’t complete anything issued in the csp especially when I was taking my car to the dealership for routine maintenance. I am within the 6 or 7 years and 84k miles or whatever it is now. It continuously changes but honestly I am quite upset that faulty engines aren’t being recalled by Ford but Ford will issue a recall on back up cameras. Like seriously. Engine > camera a faulty back up camera is probably not the same level of fire/safety risk as the faulty engines Ford continues to refuse to recall.
Stopped at red light. When removing pedal from brake car would not move forward. Made revving noise when has applied. Car would not move but was still running. Could not drive car afterwards. .
For 2 1/2 months, every time I pump gas, I couldn't get the car to start without revving the engine. I took it to the Ford service center, and they informed me that it's the canister purge valve that needed to be replaced. They also mentioned that they have seen a lot of cars with the same issue.
Car cuts off while driving. Runs for awhile and will cut off again. Check engine light came on the first time codes says the fuel pump. Change the fuel pump. 2nd time it does it codes poo88 and pooc6 comes up and changes the fuel pressure sensor. Car starts to stall and cuts off a third time.
I am having a lot of problems with my transmission and torque converter and after some research I’ve seen those are both commonly recalled parts on the 2017 Ford Fusion. My car only has 67,000 miles on it and I believe it’s too soon for this to be a problem. When I try to accelerate from 2nd to 3rd gear my tachometer shoots up and my car will start doing a jerking motion and won’t accelerate.
The throttle body failed. It is not available for inspection because it was replaced. While driving on a high-speed road, the engine felt like it shuddered, and the car lost engine power and would no longer accelerate. At the same time, the light shaped like a wrench came on. Our safety was therefore put at risk because we could now barely accelerate, and could easily have been rear-ended. The problem was confirmed and repaired by an independent service center. After doing the repair, the service center informed us that there was a Ford customer satisfaction service bulletin (13no3) for this problem. We called Ford about this bulletin and were told that the bulletin was limited to ten years or 150,000 miles, whichever came first. Even though our car is over ten years old, it only has 87,000 miles on it.
Electronic throttle body car lost power on busy, construction road manufacturer issued secret warranty to owners and did not send out notice multiple certified mechanics have inspected the vehicle check engine, abs, service advance trac, and power train lights were on and I am uncertain when they first came on.
I've had my Ford Fusion se ecoboost 1. 5, 2014 in for service on 2 separate occasions a day apart for the same reoccurring problems. The first service there was the actions done related to recalls which are consistent with 20s15 a-c and recall 23e03 b. The reasons for my Ford Fusion 1. 5 to have been brought to the premier Ford, waveland, ms was as follows: the temperature overheat lamp light was jared, there was 3 leaks from the overheat, there was a shutter and sounds that came from the engine, (limp*)and there was no fuel power through acceleration. There had been moisture located on exhaust before brakedown without having been driven for approximately 10hrs before brakedown. 2ed service was as follows: temperature overheat lamp light jared, no power through fuel to accelerate, and issues starting. Limp* I had not on this brakedown paid attention to if my Fusion needed water, the engines performance in regards to shakes or sounds nor did I look to notice nor did I look for leaks. I called directly to premier Ford, waveland and had my Ford towed in. The service was as follows: 1) 3u2z*14s411 wpt988 wire asy 2) ds7z*8501*e pw556 pumpasp-water 3) be8z*8507*a gasket-water pump 4)g 3801132 anti-freeze 5) 6 bm5z*6k2543*s437 screw 6) bm5z*6k254*a tensioner - timing belt with the parts 261. 44 labor 1748. 99 misc charges 50. 00 for a total of after taxes 2204. 66 I picked up my Ford Fusion on October 4, 2024 and on October 9, 2024 I went beck to the premier Ford and spoke with the service department because I had to stop and let my Fusion cool every 20 to 30 minutes, I stated that there was some loss of water and it was overheating, the power train light warning notify me of an issue, and that my Fusion would not go over 80miles per hr. The service department associate seemed frustrated with me and argued the fact that it had ran hot and said that the reason for the speed issue was that the lamp was identifying the keylock complete on pdf.

1st incident (oct. 8, 2024)- while traveling up a slight incline vehicle began to sputter and then stopped accelerating. No codes where thrown, no warning of any kind. The vehicle was still running and had all power, but there was no acceleration when pressing on the gas pedal. I was able to turn the car off and restart it and acceleration started but only for a brief moment, I was able to pull off into a driveway. Turned off the vehicle and restarted - vehicle would not accelerate. Turned off vehicle and waited 10-15 minutes - restarted the vehicle and the vehicle accelerated. Vehicle drove fine until the 2nd incident (Nov. 2, 2024) - stopped at a red light, once light turned green - no acceleration, no codes, no warning signs, and vehicle was still running and had power. Turned off vehicle and restarted and accelerated. Again, the vehicle drove fine until the 3rd incident (Nov. 19, 2024) - same thing happened - stopped at a red light, once light turned green - no acceleration, no codes, no warning signs, and vehicle was still running and had power. My safety and others are very much at risk due to the fact that I am not able to accelerate when needed and there isn't any warning as to when it will happen. I am luckly that I have been able to turn the vehicle off and back on again quickly.
The driver power steering system message goes on every so often and I have to turn off and on to reset the light, but my concern is that it’s going to go off as I’m driving, and the fuel mileage as I’m driving it says mileage to empty and one time I was trying to get to the gas station and it hit 0 and it was still going the car, and the suspension makes noise when I go over the bumps and also when I’m reversing and turning the wheel there’s a popping sound from the front it sounds like,.
This is a attachment to my last inquiry.
On [xxx] Ford premier out of waveland evaluated my car after I had to have it towed in due to overheating. The high temperature warning notification was lock and wouldn't change to normal after it cooled. I was not fully aware of my car overheating due to no warning other the the temperature overheat warning. A couple of days prior without driving it for 10hrs I noticed a moist to the exhaust pipe. When it broke down the engine had a misfire, a shake, and had not power to the engine to accelerate. There was 3 different puddles of fluids underneath the car. When I had spoke to the service department on this breakdown I made them aware of everything with one of the mechanics witnessing the shake within the engine. There was a confusion on my part due to the sticker showing a 1. 5l and my insurance showing through carfax a 2. 5l with also descripting a 1. 5l that showed for my car to be compatible to a 2. 0l, 1. 6l installation of coolant system, that of which lead me to request recalls through VIN# on [xxx] through verified and it was shown to be compatible for recall. Premier Ford service department assured me that nothing was wrong with the coolant system that the power train control module reprogramming took care of the breakdown. He assured me when I picked up my car that nothing was wrong with my car. Except for me needing to go, change the brakes so that he could change the brake hoses that are part of the recall associated with the brakes. This was on [xxx]. On [xxx] I broke down again with the same issue with this time before the breakdown there was a stall when I started my car and when they had my car on [xxx] I asked them the check the fuel injections and he stated there was nothing wrong with the fuel injections. My car has shown every sign that shows through the coolant system of a fire hazard. I am requesting that the department to assign the safety recall 17s09 to my VIN# [xxx] .
