I drive a 2018 Ford Fusion ecoboost. It started with a misfire on cylinder 4 and in that same week the engine started to over heat. Had the spark plugs replaced. Upon checking and monitoring coolant levels noticed I was losing coolant. Wasn't having any puddles in the driveway and no visible leaks under the hood. After few trips to work and home the engine would overheat and my work is less than 2 miles from my home. Started to quickly get worse, more codes popping up on my fixt obd2 scanner. From po304, po300, po303, b124d, po313, po316, po317.

My steering assist system goes of at odd times, and the acceleration it does tiny tugs, and my suspension it rattles, over street bumps,, can it be fixed by a dealership, cause it’s my only vehicle ?? I have and plus I’m on ssdi income and I can’t afford major repairs, like these, and if so have the car fully inspected just in case I’m missing something, OH and also there’s a popping noise coming from the front of the car. .

The car started to jerk as I was driving. Sometimes it's ok other times it starts when I accelerate like it goes out of gear came on. I did try to take it to autozone with the light had already gone off. I also took it diagnostic. They said that I could transmission control module issue. I change my battery voltage. Immediately battery this resolved the problem for about 30 minutes and then the process started over again. Insecure driving this vehicle at this point I have read online. This is an issue 2016 Ford Fusion I need help .

Driving on the highway in the fast lane, vehicle suddenly lost all power. A message on the car said “ pull over safely “. No prior warning of anything wrong with the vehicle. I managed to Dodge traffic with my hazard lights on and came to a stop on the side of the highway. I inspected the car with no signs of anything wrong. I shut down the car and restarted. Everything came back on and was drivable. This caused me to look online, only to discover that other people are having the same problem as I have described. Total loss of power. This is a very dangerous situation to be in, not able to keep moving on a very busy highway.

Coolant leaked into a cylinder due to a failed head gasket at 61,000 miles. Ford replaced head gasket, but the issue is due to poorly manufactured engine, and I had the same issue starting again at 99,000 miles. Ford refuses to fix engine since it is out of warranty, but the issue is due to poor manufacturing, not customer negligence.
The purge valve is likely malfunctioning, which affects the fuel system. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. The malfunction caused the vehicle not to start after pumping gas, potentially leaving me stranded in unsafe locations, which could be hazardous, especially in high-traffic areas or remote locations. The issue has not yet been officially reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. No, the vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. There were no warning lamps or messages before the failure. The issue first appeared when the vehicle failed to start immediately after refueling.
My 2010 Ford Fusion has no power steering and I believe a fuel injector problem. The service power steering message appears the engine light is on. I was told it had something to do with needing a fuel injector. This problem needs to be recalled ASAP.
My car had a bad shifting linkage which I paid for out of pocket. My 2. 0 ecoboost engine is leaking coolant into my oil and makes a very loud concerning ticking noise, along with reduced engine power and sporadic/random loss of brakes. There has been recalls for these issues on most other Ford Fusion models and this one needs to be recalled. My engine is going to blow any day now and I will be stuck paying for the rest of my car loan for a vehicle I cannot drive. All of the ecoboost engines should be recalled for poor design.
Evap system leak causes car to not start after putting gas in the car. Engine light stays on causing the key fob not to auto start the car. Loud knocking noise coming from the gas tank.

According to repair shop check engine light will remain on as anti freeze leaks due to a malfunction in my car. Repair shop states this is not a recall as it is not a safety issue and yet when I put on gas peddle car doesn't auto engage to proper speed. I also don't see how coolant leaking on engine wouldn't be safety issue.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Fusion energi. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23v440000 (electrical system) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I was driving down the road like normal and then it stopped wanting to go. The screen on the dash said see manual and had a little orange wrench. The car stopped going. It was still running but I pushed on the gas and it wouldn’t go. I stopped and the car was running rough. I turned it off and then turned it back on. The problem went away and it drove like normal again.
After fueling in the car up I drive it and it stalls out while driving.

Kept getting a misfire on cylinder 2 after Ford preformed a “recall” on the power train control system well the car now has coolant leaking into the number two cylinder causing it to shake violently and complete loss of power luckily my wife was able to pull safely off the roadway with my [xxx] son present before losing control and having an accident information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Transmission issues rise no matter how many times I fix it. Last time I drove it the transmission lock up the front wheels at 45 mph nearly causing a head on collision with me and my girlfriend and little brother in the car.
Had a coolant leak which further damaged my whole engine. I need a new one now after only having my car for 2 years.
The flex plate on my vehicle was cracked. Which damaged the transmission pump. We heard what sounded like a box of rocks which quickly got louder and louder we took the car to the dealer the next day. We had no other warnings something was wrong no engine light or anything. Had this plate broken completely we likely would have crashed and our small children could have been hurt. We took it to our local Ford dealer who diagnosed the issue, but would want over $6000 to fix the issue, on top of the $225 we paid to get the issue diagnosed. So for the forseable future we have no safe vehicle.
Evap system leak. Vapor leak causes car to not start after putting gas in the tank. It takes several tries before the car starts up. Engine light stays on which causes car fob not to auto start.
When driving the car will stall out and die in the driving state. This occurs without warning from any sensor light error warnings. After acceleration to 35 it will sputter as if the fuel is not flowing, yet then it will correct but stall and completely die during operation while driving. Have had both the upper and lower full pumps installed within the last calendar yet still currently having the problem or issue. Experiencing the exact same eco boost concerns as other Ford models have been recalled for as of recent.
Vehicle after every single time we refuel have to press gas pedal to start afterwards it keeps stalling until you gun the acceleration to pick up speed. Vehicle after that runs okay until the next time you fuel up.
My car has stalled out coming up to a stop sign. It makes a sound coming from gas tank. I can not turn it off while pumping gas because it will not start after pumping gas. It is the purge value according to my mechanic. I know the recall on this issue is on the focus models but the Fusion is basically the same car.
Lug nuts are all stripped or broken. Check engine light, check fuel fill inlet message, poor driving all around, lack of power. Brake calipers broke off and brake pads fell out. Power steering locks up every once in a while.
A recall on the electrical system of my plug in hybrid does not allow me to use the electrical portion of my vehicle. The main reason I purchased this vehicle was to use all electric with the option of having a gas powered vehicle. Until this is remedied, the dealership said that I cannot charge my vehicle. This was the major selling point of this vehicle. I also cannot sell this vehicle because no dealership will purchase this vehicle with this major recall (that has been issued with no remedy since June of last year (10 months ago).
My brakes are grinding squealing/rattling and I have pads replaced, no rotor wear, not sure what’s wrong. I’ve brought my car in to be serviced 3+ times and have left with no fixed car and worse brakes. When I bring up issues with my car that are related to the recalls the car has, they tell me those recalls don’t apply to my car although im having the same problems. My brakes have progressively gotten worse/louder and the pressure on my pedals is not the same. I’m scared to drive my car and I have been trying to get it fixed for months. This is not the only problem im having, my gas tank “farts” constantly and my car will stall and shut off unless I turn off auto start stop. There is no recall on this yet it’s a known problem. It makes the car undriveable.
My vehicle is displaying severe symptoms as well as throwing code of the already noted recall for other trims of this car but my car isn’t on recall list. I’ve had to replace the canister purge valve 3 times in less than 2 years, the vacuum seal is affecting fuel tank and honking every 15-20 seconds…when canister gets stuck open, I can’t start my car which happened yesterday in a busy intersection. It’s dangerous and I’m afraid to transport my kids in my car.
The antifreeze leaks into the engine due to a known manufacturer design flaw, is available to inspection upon request and appointment made. Mine and others safety are at risk due to the fact that if the engine seizes up while driving, could lead to a sudden crash. Problem confirmed by a local mechanic. Not been inspected by anyone else other than a different independent mechanic. The first sign of a problem is a check engine light, followed by a sputter in the engine and lack of consistent speed control, first appeared in February, and lead to 2 sets of spark plugs being replaced.
Car stalled at a stop light on us-50 a road where the speed limit is 50mph. My 17-year old daughter was driving and could not restart the car. When the light turned green she was stuck in the middle of the road and trucks and other drivers where riding right up to her at 60+ mph before they switched lanes honking and flipping her off. She could have been struck and killed. Took to mechanic after I was able to get on-site and start the car. P1450 unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum. Was told this is very common with this year of Ford Fusion and Ford knows of the issue. Why not a recall to change the solenoid and purge valve before someone gets killed if they haven't already.
Fuel tank: tank leaked when it was filled. Most of the time in my driveway but occasionally in parking lots unstil the tank level was reduced to approximately 3/4 filled. In addition fumes would fill the air surrounding the car. The automobile is being currently repaired at an independent repair facility. No other inspection other than repair facility. Initially no warning light but as it progressed the "check engine light" lit. Inspected the removed gas tank at repair facility and the caused of the problem may be a design flaw. The tank design on my vehicle (all wheel drive) is such that it has two zones and each zone has a fuel pump. The retaining plates on the tank are made of metal and therefore due to new england winters and the position of the tank and the location of the tank the retaining plates rust. This resulted in the retaining plates to rust leaving pin holes in the retaining rings causing gas and fumes to exit the fuel system.
I went to my dealership because of a check engine light. After many hours of searching, I was told that a coolant leak had been found. I was informed that the head gasket was damaged and causing a leak into the engine. The cheapest repair would cost nearly $8000. The extended warranty that I purchased for the car has expired. Searching google, I see that Ford is aware of the problem, and has known about it for some time. Ford should not be able to get away with this.
Nhtsa complaint - 2017 Ford Fusion energi titanium (VIN: redacted) - 1/16/24 (collision) failed component battery energy control module (becm) and hybrid battery cell balancing circuits failed post-collision. Per Ford recall 23v-440, current interrupt device causes excess voltage, fire risk, toxic gas exposure. Dtcs: u1027 (abs/ecm loss), p2450/p2451 (evap stuck open/closed), p0dd2/p0dd6/p0dde (battery cell balancing circuits h/j/k/m stuck off). Vehicle available for inspection. Safety risks sudden power loss, fire risk, CO/hf toxic gas exposure from damaged cells. Hf idlh 0. 025 g/m³. Symptoms: headaches, cognitive issues, respiratory problems requiring brain mri. Ford documented 7 fires, 2 while driving. Gas events recur when changing charging amperage; CO detector alarmed repeatedly; hospitalized for symptoms. Dealer confirmation not investigated. No Ford dealer conducted required post-collision battery diagnostics despite dtcs proving multiple system failures. United insurance claims ignored [legal demand] for hybrid-specific inspections. No CO/hf assessment. Battery cell balancing failures indicate physical collision damage to high-voltage system. Inspections insurance: standard only, ignored dtcs requiring hybrid testing. Ford service (tempe, az) and Ford collision center (mesa, az): no inspection; reasons given a) lack capability b) we just scan the vehicle; we don't thoroughly inspect for gas leaks". Recall 23v-440 documents identical failures. Police: no report (real-time audio capture of admission of at-fault driver), no hazmat assessment. Multiple permanent dtcs prove need for Ford-certified diagnostics. Warning symptoms pre-collision: intermittent issues, check engine light, reduced range. Post-collision: reduced range, gas exposure symptoms plus dtcs u1027, p2450/p2451, p0dd2/p0dd6/p0dde showing communication/battery cell failures. Medical documentation available. Pattern confirms becm/battery damage per documented defect.
My vehicle will no longer operate in electric mode. This is a major safety concern since there is no assist from the high-voltage battery powered electric drive motor. Upon accelerating from a dead stop, there is a significant lag before the ice kicks in and provides enough power to move the vehicle.
Battery went dead, replaced battery, check engine light came on, got a diagnostic check on it, come to find out my purge valve needs to be replace. Every time we get gas, the car doesnt want to start up. Trying to find the part to replace purge valve assembly line is almost near zero. The car has only 65,000 miles on it and its a 2019 forf Fusion titanium ecoboost.
The canister purge valve in this vehicle repeatedly goes bad. I had a 2015 and now 2016 both with the same issue. It throws the check engine light on and will just about die everytime putting gas into the car or when stopped for random periods of time. The vehicle uses more gas and you can literally smell the fumes escaping from the flapping gas tank lid. In order to start the car you have to pump the gas petal and occasionally the car will stall out while driving.
