I been seeing that the gas in the car runs out so soon and I always wonder why , until one day I was fueling the car and I was standing next to it and I feel like something splashes my feet , so I checked under my car and there is the problem the gas tank is leaking, call the dealer to fix it and they said that I has to pay for it , l don't think is fair to pay for a manufactured issued , I did pay a lot of money for a supposed to be a good ,safe and reliable car that now has to many issues and recalls and they don't (Ford),take responsibility about it. Please help.

Has rattle under passenger floor when fuel tank is 3/4 to full in park or in gear at complete stop or just creeping below 5 mph and have read online about the baffles breaking in the fuel tank causing this issue also read it causes air in fuel line which could be a safety issue while traveling down highway if engine cuts out due to this issue,, also drivers door doesn't always latch 100 % sometimes have to open and close door several times to shut completely and has started doing this since October of 2018 also transmission shifts funny when cold going from park to reverse has very harsh engagement and 3rd shifts very firm when going in.

Awhile back the car started making strange noises, that came from the fuel inlet behind the gas door, sounding like pressure escaping. Pressing the door in (capless fuel tank) confirms this, as the vacuum is released. Car idles rough, and in some cases, after refueling, it will immediately stall. Upon further research, it seems to happen to quite a few Fusion owners, with videos and forums posts to verify. Ford claims to not know of the issue, but just today issued a recall for a similar problem for the focus model cars. It is the 2. 0l turbo or naturally aspirated engines, and I have the 2. 0l turbo. There have also been reports of cars stalling while in motion. Check engine light came on today, with a p1450 code.

Car will sound like someone is reeving their engine behind me but its the car. Then car will shut down as I am driving down the road. Everything still works but can not get the car to move. Try to hit the gas pedal and nothing happens. Went to advanced auto and they said it was code p1450 the guy explained it to me as the fuel vapor canisters the purge valves does not operate properly resulting in abnormal pressure changes in the fuel tank.

Tamara recall my Ford Fusion make a �frat� noise/sound that comes from the gas tank. When the noise starts the engine will narely idle and sometimes dies. It doesn't matter if the vehicle is being driven down the road or just sitting idling. One time I was pulling out from a stop sign when this noise started and the car died with oncoming traffic coming right at me. Other times it's just an annoyance an the engine runs fine. When I googled it I've noticed that several other Ford Fusions with the turbo engine have the same issue. This has been happening off and on again for a year and a half now. Took my car in for the fuel tank recall. The dealer replaced the purge valve and said they inspected my tank, which was good. I was not able to fill my tank full until 5 weeks later and when I did I went straight home and smelled gas very strongly. My car was parked for about an hour and a half when I noticed a huge puddle under it which turned out to be gas. It leaked a quarter tank out! I immediately called the dealer and they told me they couldn't get me in until Thursday, this was Monday. The car sat until then. I drove it to the dealer Thursday. They submitted paper work and pictures to Ford. Friday they heard back from Ford stating they needed to drop the tank to take better pictures. The dealership was not able to do this until Monday. Monday came, Tuesday still no word, and finally on Wednesday I get word saying that Ford denied the recall and are not paying for it. The whole point of the recall was that the purge valve in the canister was building up pressure and cracking tanks. But they denied it. I called Ford's customer line and was connected to a very rude man named ryan who acted like I know absolutely nothing about cars when in fact I have worked on (specifically Ford) cars for over 20 years. He refused to let me speak to a supervisor and then proceeded to tell me that the supervisor would tell me the same as he did. I am very upset. My car is not fixed from the recall and they want me to pay $1000 for a new tank that cracked at the seal from their faulty part.

After pumping gas my vehicle would not start. After waiting and trying for 10 minutes the vehicle started. About two weeks later while driving a loud noise was coming from the left side of my vehicle after pulling over I realized it was coming from my gas tank took it back to the dealership they said that they have never heard that before but they knew how to stop the noise. While driving and at a stop light my vehicle just shut off with no vehicles behind me, ii put it in neutral and it went in reverse and I was able to pull my vehicle closer to the curb. Couple days later my check engine light came on and the code was for a canister purge valve. I see Ford had a recall in 2015 for the same problem with the previous models. This is a safety concern and I am very disappointed because I just purchased my vehicle on March 31, 2016 and the dealership I purchased it from was not helpful and Ford did nothing.

My vehicle makes a noise while driving and this noise comes from the gas tank. It is like a honk sound. To stop the sound, I have to stop the vehicle, open the gas tank and let the air/pressure inside the gas thank out. The smell is some kind of burnt engine or wire. After I have let the air/pressure out, engine warning light turns on for few hours and goes off. There are lots of customers with this same issue and reported this issue. Informed this issue to Ford and they asked me to get diagnostics done on the vehicle and call them back. I did get the diagnostics done on the vehicle, technician said that there is a problem with the canister purge valve and he explained me something about the pressure which I couldn't understand. So I called Ford back and informed them that this is the issue and asked them to help me with it. They said they cant do anything because it had nothing to do with any recall program or any rebate program active based on the given mileage. I begged Ford to please check online that there are so many customer with the same complaint. The supervisor said she cannot do anything. I am requesting NHTSA to please do an enquiry on this issue and help the people who are suffering. Thank you.

I bought this vehicle a week ago from a well known dealership. I was told the car was tested and had no mechanical problems. It had clean carfax and one owner. After having the car a few days the engine light came on and the car started surging and I lost accelerartion and ability to keep car on the road. I barely made it home and am fearful to drive it. I think there is a problem with the gas tank or similar component. The dealer said it was sold as is so now I have to pay for repairs that should have been detected and fixed. I am seeing other owners of this vehicle having same issues. Ford needs to issue a recall for this. Someone is going to get seriously hurt. I get dialysis 3 times weekly and thought this car would be reliable. Now I will be paying for repairs.

Takata recall I got a recall notice about my gas tank leaking fumes. I took it to a Ford dealer and they told me that it was fine and that they did not have to replace it. I thought that if there is a recall that they had to replace the defect the date it happen is when I bought it.

Gas tank is leaking. Per Ford- a recall fix was done in 2016 on the purge valve, but not the tank itself. The tank itself is leaking. Per Ford since the recall fix was donr in some capacity, it doesn't qualify for the remaining portion being fixed.

This device is on a nationwide back order. The part has been ordered and they will replace it when it comes in, whenever that is. However I'm left driving the vehicle. Yesterday, I was driving down a city street at about 35mph when the engine just shut off. I was not low on gas. I had just under 1/2 tank. Luckily there was minimal traffic and I was able to start it only after several tries and giving it a lot of gas as soon as I hit start. I have no idea when the part will come in. I'm concerned I'll pull out into traffic and the engine will die. Or I'll be on the highway just driving along and it will die. If either of those occur, I'm not sure what will happen to me or my kids.

Recall 15v793000: fuel tank cracks and leaks fuel. 03/05/2018 my car had check engine light on. I checked it at firestone service and it showed code p1450. They found that valve cover gasket was leaking. I've been told that this is a recall and I have to go to dealer. While I waited 3 weeks for appointment with dealer my check engine light went off and they just charged me for test and didn't do any repairs. Also they told me that my car was not recalled. Right now I have check engine periodically on for couple days and after that off.

Bad management valve part #dg9z90279d needs to be replaced. Told it was on back order for the next 2-3 months. Over 750 pending orders. This is a known problem with some vehicles being recalled for repair. This vehicle isn't on the recall list but in my opinion should be because of the safety concerns this has the potential for. This faulty valve is cause pressure to build up in the fuel tank that could possible cause an explosion or fire. Waiting 2-3 months is not acceptable. Also, no warning to myself was provided from the 2 dealerships that diagnosed my vehicle and that I talked to to get this part. I only found out by doing extensive research. Problem still isn't fixed, waiting on parts.

My power steering advancetrac went out while driving, my steering wheel locked on highway, in result I broke my front bumper and almost ended up in a accident due to a locked steering wheel. The dealorship said that they did the recall but I continued to smell fuel vapors. In the meantime classic Ford has been purchased by classic Ford and the service manager, robert ship is telling us that this is my problem and that classic is not resposnilble for cross roads maintenance issues. I contacted cross roads Ford again several months later and they said that they had already performed the recall and that it would cost me to have them to check the issue again. I took my car to earl tindol Ford gastonia nc o n November 28 and service rep that the valve on the gas tank was apparently not fixed or fixed properly. I called the Ford motor company customer support on Wednesday, November 28 to see if they would assist with the issue and I was directed back to the dealership (classic Ford) that orginaly performed the recall. I contacted billy at classic Ford on November 28 and he said to bring the vehicle in and they would look at the issue. I was notified on November 30 that the valve is apparently not working correctly and that this was a non covered charge since the recall was already performed. I perceive that this is a bad safety problem because of the gasoline vapor smell and the vehicle could ignite. Error code(s) p1450, p0456, Ford Fusion se 2011, 3. 0l v6 (4 valve). My car was getting the error code p1450 (unable to bleed up fuel tank vacume) that would turn on the malfunction indicator light (mil) this would happen after the vehicle had been started for a short time. . This went on for a short time, I found that by using the gas funnel supplied with the car the vacume could be relieved and all was good for a few days. After about 3 or 4 times it stoped coming up. Now ,1 year and a few days to the date, it's back and I'm getting the error code p0456 (evap emissions control system leak very small) with it. It means, in my case, that the evaporative emissions canister perge valve (cpv) has a small leak that is causing a vacume to develop in the fuel tank. If this happens enough times it can cause the fuel tank to develop a crack, this hasn't happened to my vehicle that I'm aware of yet (I'll be checking on that while I change the cpv),. And we all know that a leaking gasoline tank isn't a good thing in a lot of ways.

We've been experiencing the swishing movement of the the gas in the gas tank when braking, going over a rugged surface & going over speed bumps or potholes. Some times there is a strong smell of gas from inside the car to the point where we have to put the windows down. We've taken the car to 2 separate Ford services & neither has been able to remedy the issue. We've been told that the sound is coming from our rear brakes to being told that there was water in the spare tire compartment. The issue has been constant still so there's no way could it be caused by those. We've complained about the issue several different times at the 1st location and once at the 2nd location, we've went on test drives & all the technicians have heard & felt the noise, but both location said that there was nothing they could do about it & whenever I'll pick the car back up they'll say that they are not able to duplicate the issues. Our miles has now been going down way faster than usual as well & our average mpg has been dropping significantly since this first started to occur. We also have been needing to fill up the tank about 3-4 time a week now compared to just once because the gas just has been dropping so fast & inaccurate readings on the miles we've driven. The swishing around can be heard very loudly & felt more in night time driving & especially when braking in traffic & approaching a stop light/sign. There are times after parking, shutting off ignition & exiting the car that there's smell of gas heavy to the rear of the car & I've also observed the smell coming from the openings of the rear wheels. I'm afraid in the event of a rear/side collision that the chance of an explosion is much higher. This issue has been since September of 2017 & on numerous occasions told a Ford service person about it to no avail. I've called Ford to complain in Dec & Feb & only said to take elsewhere.

I went to a gas in town and filled up my car and only got 223 to a full tank and then it slowly creeped up as I was driving in town to 289. But I normally get 330-350 to a full tank. But when I first got it and the dealership filled it up, I got over 400 to a full tank.

Heard a loud noise coming from near the gas tank, sounds like a googling or funny noise check engine light comes on and the car sputters and cuts off. All the noise was being made while driving it didn't stop until I put the car in park.

Which emailed the recall process step by step, was influenced to mention the throttle body which was covered under ext. Warranty. Took to dealer in tucson, az jim click Ford. After 3 hours of possessing vehicle I received information that fuel tank/ system and throttle body were not affected and no work was required and even after agreement by Ford corp. And the sales rep. That no diagnostics fee would be charged. I spent 3 hours arguing that it was covered by warranty and recall. Found out later throttle body is recalled issue, that's why ext. Warranty. Issues with fuel/ air intake required inspecting throttle body. Discovered extensive carbon build up and the fuel tank had evidence of rusting. Jim click Ford of tucson damaged vehicle from driver side to pass. Side in center of vehicle including main frame. Changes to the sync and computer became noticeable due to upgraded options that had never been usable. Ignition switch had been removed and replaced with cheap rubber, lighting no longer existed( light for on/off, acc), was told spark plugs and boots needed to be replaced and they had begun work (without permission). Later that week plugs had been pulled nd inspected, only one plug was no good (had them replaced in December by close family friend who owns mechanic shop 40+ years. Employees left box of approx 50 new jim click coffee mugs, foot prints on passenger door, stole debit card, threw girlfriends underwear and bras out of bag and spread out in trunk.

Code p0457 and p1450 keep coming up. The description is a fault with the fuel filler near the gas tank. A recall for the fuel gas tank filler was previously performed. Is this part of this recall?.

On local road, vehichle hesitates when I step on the gas. When I get to a stop light it shudders then stalls. This occurs frequently for the past two weeks as of this entry date. My vehicle has under 53k miles and the dealer says the part and fix is not under warranty. Its called a lo pressure gas sensor I believe. If its attached to the gas tank then how could it not be under warranty with under 60k miles standard coverage. Is this standard for all dealerships with warranty coverage or lack there of for this part.
