The incomplete recall 26v238 is a concern. They say in the letter from Ford that it could be a fire issue. It seems the harness in the a pillar gets pinched and could short out causing the overhead lighting or mirror lighting to either cause a smoke issue or fire. But the answer is not going to be available until late July maybe!! why send a letter and state you have no answer yet or will have for a couple of months!!! am I supposed to be happy that I will know why the fire breaks out? some 1400 potential failures out of 140,000 is the prediction per a conversation with your [xxx] on the chat line. This is to me a lame response to an issue with a potential for a real safety issue and should have more response than "we are working on the answer and maybe end of July" information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

My 2024 Ford Ranger XLT 2w has been suddenly losing power or stumbling upon initial acceleration. This has been occurring intermittently. My truck now has approximately 20,000 miles. The problem has become increasingly frequent. It seems to occur most often when accelerating from a complete stop. The loss of power can last for several seconds, then normal power is regained. Several times, the truck has lost power while making a left turn. It simply will not accelerate, and I find that I am stuck, unable to complete my turn and clear the oncoming traffic. I have taken my truck to a local dealer who attempted to diagnose the problem and they didn’t offer a solution since they were unable to reproduce the problem during their road test. It has happened many times since then and I am scheduled to return the vehicle to the same dealership to attempt to diagnose and fix the problem again soon. The problem seems to occur, regardless of which drive mode the truck is in and also occurs with electronic stability control both enabled and disabled. There are no warning lights or check engine codes shown.
On Friday, March 27th, 2026. My 2019 Ford Ranger began shaking before the engine stalled. Warning lights for an engine check came on and my vehicle would not go above 20 mph after restarting. When pressing on the accelerator the engine would rev but the vehicle would not accelerate. I took the 2019 Ford Ranger to a local Ford dealership service center and they diagnosed the following problems (listed in full below). The cooling fan was at issue and multiple wires connecting my engine to the rest of the vehicle were melted off. The Ford dealership said that this issue is extremely rare and they have never seen it before. After receiving this information from the dealership I discovered that the 2019 Ford Ranger has had several recalls with the areas at issue in my vehicle. The recalls are under number 25v685000 (engine block heater), and 20v137000 (fan). Here is the full diagnosis from the Ford dealership attached below: verified customer concern found vehicle to have cel light on, and multiple warning lights performed diag and found short circuit present. Traced short found cooling fan clutch failed and harness rubbing in cluch assembly for cooling fan the fan lowers the temperature of the engine. The cooling fan motor is an electric motor that turns the fan blades. When the vehicle is in traffic or under heavy load, the engine relies on the fan to cool itself. Some vehicles may use multiple electric fans for better control of the cooling system. For the most part, electric cooling fans are controlled by the same computer that controls the engine. However, in some engines, the fans are turned on and off by a temperature-sensitive switch mounted in either the radiator or elsewhere in the cooling system. Spark plug replacement 4 cylinder: 4 cyl tune up the platinum spark plug is a type of spark plug. The platinum is a precious metal that is used in the composition of the spark plug. The center electrode is made of platinum.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? inspection available if needed. The ignition coils and spark plugs failed due to Ford’s negligence to provide an engine cover. Water has gotten in to the engine and caused these systems to fail how was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? the engine violently shakes and causes you to lose speed. I was going 20 under the limit on the highway due to this and could have caused an accident. The vehicle felt as if it was shutting off and I got off at the next available exit. It placed my family at risk and others as it could have caused a bad accident if someone would have rear ended me due to the slow speed. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes, this is a known issue and Ford refuses to repair the vehicle and advises it is out of pocket. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? the vehicle has been inspected by a repair facility. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? the check engine light was flashing and then stayed solid. This first appeared on 1/27/26.

I am the original owner of this vehicle and the engine and controls have not been modified in any way. Yesterday while driving at approximately 30 mph on a surface street with dry road conditions in the “2h” setting on the drive modes selection dial my truck spontaneously shifted into four-wheel drive high and then attempted to switch into four-wheel-drive low – “rock crawl mode. ” the rear differential locked, speed was suddenly reduced, and the steering became more difficult. Luckily, I was able to safely pull over. I captured a video at this time documenting the control settings and display image. It took multiple attempts, even in park and neutral, to get out of 4wd and back into the 2h setting. Once back in 2h, the truck drove normally. I have had similar experiences at least twice before in this truck with months between them. In those cases, I wondered if I had accidentally bumped the dial control. I am certain that this was not the case yesterday, so this was a spontaneous event initiated by the truck’s computer and/or mechanical controls. I consider this to be a very serious safety hazard, as it dramatically and unexpectedly affected the speed and handling of my truck. I did some online searching today and found that multiple other Ranger raptor owners have experienced this issue, suggesting that this may be a serious design flaw affecting multiple vehicles. I plan to schedule a service appointment with Ford and notify them directly of this problem and hazard.
Wiper arm stops working or stays in up position. Intermittent issue.
Loss of power/accelleration. Multiple times. Issue has always occurred when turning left quickly then trying to accellerate. To make the immediate uphill. The accellerator goes dead for 3-4 seconds, then works. Engine rpm does not speed up when commanded, but then does after several seconds. By then it has been pushed to the floor attempting to make it over the upcoming hill. This is going to cause an accident, especially when pavement is slick, then truck quickly responds to the pedal position. The truck displays no codes or lights. Dealer says they have no idea what it could be. There are multiple reports on [xxx] . [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The acm (audio control module) failed, causing a network failure in the can system. This caused a condition of no speedometer reading, no automatic braking, no adaptive cruise control, no fuel gauge reading, no blind spot monitoring, no forward collision, no rear cross traffic warning. Additionally, while the turn signals worked, there was no inside audio or visual confirmation that it was functioning. Also no high beam headlight indicator and no automatic high-low beams. Cost of repair was $739. 00 and the dealer had to order the part.
While driving between 5-10 mph on a dry, smooth paved road, the transmission began cycling through 4wd modes and began shifting from normal mode to 4wd sand mode, I was able to pull over and park, but the transmission continued shifting and fully transitioned to 4wd mode. This is the second time it has occurred, the first time the transmission fully switched 4wd and I was barely able to pull off the road to reset it. After first issue, dealership noted the following "3131 confirmed concern. Pulled codes with fdrs and found p05d3 in abs module. Referred to workshop manual and run pinpoint test ah for concern. Ah1 yes. Ah2 had me reconfigure abs module with as-built data rerun self test. No codes returned and system operating correctly at this time. The battery has been dying since the last update which causes my rear camera to just go black screen when I am reversing my battery shouldn't be dying after a year and my camera should still work.
Became aware of open recalls circa 09. 2025, and requested the parts be ordered at Ford auto nation (fan) panama city, FL. Was told by john, dealership would call when parts became available. Parts have not either been available and/or there have been no calls. Calling the dealer is ludicrous as all calls are answered by an incompetent call center. Dropped by the dealership today 04/25/2026, and taylor could not book a service appointment, did not know if parts to fix recalls were available for my vehicle, and said I would need to speak with john whom was off today. It appears that Ford/fan-pc is not interested in safety or repairing my vehicle.
The drive mode control has been malfunctioning and selecting different drive modes while the vehicle is in motion without any physical input from myself, the driver. While driving in the normal two-wheel drive high (2h) at various rates of speed the drive mode control will start clicking and selecting different drive modes, such as going to four-wheel drive low (4l) or four-wheel drive high (4h) and a pop-up message in the instrument cluster display showing the change displaying mud/ruts, sand, slippery modes being selected. This has been continuously occurring randomly at both low and high rates of speed. There are never any objects or materials in contact with the drive mode control when this happens, it does it on it's own with an audible clicking noise. This is effectively putting myself, my family and other drivers safety at risk since the truck is making changes to the power train without any input from myself and I have to take my attention off the road to bring the truck back into normal two-wheel drive high (2h) mode. I have contacted both Ford motor company directly and my local Ford dealer service center to try to have the vehicle inspected but have not been able to due their delay in being able to diagnose the vehicle. This has been going on for 4+ months and the date provided below is the last occurrence of the issue.

Ive had 2 seperate issues with my 2024 for Ranger one is a steering assist fault the other is a electric fault on the speedometer jumping up and down while its in park and causing an issue.
Hood/cowling along the windshield allows water to leak under the hood of the vehicle and wets the coils and plugs causing the engine to mis fire and shutter violently. This engine mis fire and sudden lack of power can cause the vehicle to obstruct the flow of traffic resulting in an accident. Problem was reproduced by the dealer and they replace coils, plugs, and installed an accessory engine cover to prevent the issue in the future. All at my cost. The problem remains that there are many Ford Rangers on the road unaware of this problem. This problem is documented in a Ford TSB but a more aggressive approaching is needed to resolve this issue.
My tail lights just stopped working. I didn't know that they were out until someone behind me told me that they were out. I didn't have any collision, nothing like that. I called the Ford dealership and they told me to bring it in so that they can see what the problem is. They have been having issues with tail lights just going out.
Certain buttons don't work on the steering wheel. Usually temporary. Sometime the center console won't load at start up. The lane keeping system and speed control don't follow the instructions in the setup menu.
Rearview camera malfunction. Screen on rearview mirror goes from blue color to blank. The vehicle's air conditioning does not blow cold air. Stays at warm temperature. Cannot hear pump kick on for a/c.

1. The vehicle will sometimes randomly switch between drive modes with no influence from the driver. I believe it could be a faulty drive mode sensor and the vehicle is available to be inspected. 2. Having the vehicle switch drive modes at random could cause an increase in danger while driving. Going from normal to baja or other modes while at highway speeds is very concerning, considering it changes from 2-wheel to 4-wheel drive. 3. No. 4. No, the vehicle will be taken to a Ford dealership soon for the current window recall. 5. No prior warnings. The first couple of times, I thought I may have bumped it, but on multiple occasions I have realized it did it by itself with no influence from the operator. 6. For the additional details below: I put in the most recent incident, but it has occurred multiple times over the past year.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford Ranger. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the alert of a sensor was displayed. The contact stated that the message that the sensor was not working, and the front center sensor was not available was displayed. The contact stated that brakes independently activated whenever the sensor alert was displayed, causing the vehicle to stop unexpectedly without a vehicle or object being nearby. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice and the contact was informed that the Ford engineers were working on the issue. The code was cleared, and the air and sensors were not working. The contact was informed that there was no fix for the issue. The contact was unable to use adaptive cruise control, and the vehicle was parked. The contact was unable to use the features. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Ranger. The contact stated while driving approximately 10-15 mph into the driveway at the residence, the vehicle lost electrical power and the vehicle shutoff as if there was no fuel going to the engine. The contact stated that there also a message that the rearview camera was inoperable, along with messages that features inside the cabin of the vehicle was inoperable. The contact restarted the vehicle and the vehicle shutoff immediately. The contact stated that the engine was not receiving fuel because the fuel pump was on the wiring harness that was not operating as needed. The contact stated that the messages “cross traffic sensor disconnected", “rear parking sensor disconnected” and "rearview camera disconnected" were displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the electrical connector to the camera was corroded and not properly seated. The contact was informed that part numbers: lutz-14x411-na and lutz-14x411-aaa needed to be replaced. The contact researched and became aware of a recall; however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,064.
This is in relation to an existing recall on the 2019 Ford Ranger, NHTSA recall no. 19v-839 this recall was for improperly connected inline electrical connectors from the Ford factory causing issues with rear brake lamps. I have recently had a fault with the same connector, which Ford technicians discovered was not properly connected. This connector failed due to the loose connection, causing all electrical connections in the rear frame (fuel pump, rear view camera, cross traffic warning, parking sensors) to fail. Upon discovering recall 19v-839, I contacted Ford support. I was informed that my truck was built in the same factory as the recalled vehicles, but was completed three days after the impacted period ( Jun 04, 2018 - Aug 16, 2019). Therefor Ford will not consider my issue part of the recall. Ford has advised me to bring this up to the NHTSA to broaden the scope of the recall. I it seems clear to me that this issue was the same as the recall, and likely the original dates were too narrow. I hope you will investigate this issue.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that the temperature failed to adjust as needed. The contact stated that the damper was stuck. The heater was continuously blowing out hot air on the driver's side. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA campaign number: 19v726000 (visibility). The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and opened a case, and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 25,152.
I flew down to anchorage alaska this brand new 024 Ford Ranger xl on February 4, 2025 sight unseen and no test drive from kendall Ford dealership. After buying the truck I started it, engaged 4 wheel drive and slippery/ icy setting. On the way back to fairbanks the steering was hard to turn and got progressively harder the faster I drove and the colder it became. About half way home it became exhausting to steer requiring a lot of force to turn the steering wheel that actually resisted with real force being turned. I didn’t know the lane keeping would turn on with the cruise control but it did and resisted me even more. The roads became black ice and it was freezing rain. The phone charge port lost power, the dash blanked out, there was no radio and the rear power port I had switched to lost power and my phone died. I was driving about 30 to 40 mph on the 2 lane undivided snow covered black ice covered highway. In a curve in the road where the highway maintenance snow plows had stopped plowing I believe the truck mistook the snow line for the painted line and unexpectedly and surprisingly actually turned the steering wheel towards the double solid dividing centerline and I turned back into my lane. This slight movement caused the truck to totally slide out of control and cross the double solid dividing centerline and the truck went into opposite highway oncoming lane! luckily there was no traffic coming the other way or it could have been a horrible accident. I hit the brakes and the truck actually stopped good, and then I got back into my lane and pulled over at the first chance. My phone was dead so I had no flashlight because I flew down I carried nothing but my coat. I tried to inspect the steering but it was all dark and below zero so I continued on towards fairbanks another hundred miles to the north. The truck also had a bunch of other problems like refusing to start that can leave a person to freeze to death quickly in the arctic below zero temperatures.
Truck cut off at an intersection without warning and would not turn back over. After multiple attempts and aaa service members checking batter car would not start. Has power but will not turn over dealership is saying there is a module issue but is not sure.
I was in an area that had received snow and cold temperatures. I started my car to warm it up and began cleaning off the snow. The heat from the rear defroster caused my read window to shatter leaving glass mostly on the exterior of the truck bed but also in the back seat. This is a known problem with Ford model trucks and they refuse to repair the issue or replace my window.
The blend door for hvac controls sticks, makes clicking noises. From time to time it will stick in one position, for example cabin, when I need defrost, making it difficult to see safely potentially.
Wiring for back up camera failed and short circuited - will attempt to retain the components for inspection needs. Safety concern - when wire short circuited, it burned the wire at the control module in the dash board, causing the control module to also fail - according the the Ford service advisor at my dealership. Issue was diagnosed and inspected by titus will Ford service center at 11503 pacific hwy sw, lakewood, wa 98499 - phone # (253) 753-1253. No warning lamps/messages/symptoms.

Hvac blower motor needs replaced and evap box per Ford dealership todd judy Ford. There has been a previous recall on the same model Ford Ranger year 2019. Air conditioning work fine on the passenger vents but blows out hot air on drivers side. 2 separate mechanics at independent mechanic and todd judy Ford dealership report there have been problems with the Ford Ranger air conditioning and heating system regarding dual temperature units. Dealership reports that this is not covered under warranty and is estimated $3200 in repair. The independent mechanic is not able to obtain the part and discovered there was a previous recall on this part on the 2019 Ford Ranger. I have contacted Ford customer service department and they specify that this part and failure of my 2019 Ford Ranger does not have my vehicle listed under the recall although it is the same model. The problem was discovered on April 19.
I dropped the vehicle off in April, bought it off facebook marketplace in March. Since then, I have dropped the vehicle off at big star Ford in pearland texas, and it has been there until today [xxx]. They finally called me to tell me they cannot get parts for this 2017, or the 2023 recall that must be performed, and that I was "free to come pick my vehicle up from them" it has been over six months with lack of communication, and me sacrificing time to complete in person visits, this is insane. I cannot believe they are still allowed to service vehicles information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was awaiting a call from the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.
There's something wrong with the heater motor or the heater itself. When the heat is on even at the lowest setting the heat is too high. It gets very hot in the vehicle and I have to turn the heat off. The vehicle will fog up when the heater is turned off. There's also a smell like something's burning or overheating and there are clicking noises coming from behind the radio/ heater area. Also if the ac is turned on only the passenger side gets cold, and the driver side blows very hot air. The heat is on even in ac mode, very frustrating.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the lights on the instrument panel became inoperable, causing the vehicle to lose power. The contact stated that the messages “unsafe driving” and “head-on collision" were displayed. The contact waited until the engine cooled down before restarting and driving the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle also experienced a failure with a/c unit, and the failures became more persistent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 42,000.
