Problem with fuel pump city switch keeps burning up and causing my truck to to die while I’m driving it. I have got it checked by a mechanic shop and the problem keeps happening. The fuel pump, the cut off switch and the connector and wires have all been replaced and it still continues to happen. This has been happening for years and is causing me to almost get in a car accident.

Had someone driving behind me flag me over. I had no tail lights, brake lights, turn signals front or rear or hazzard lights in the front or back. There is only 15,000kms on this truck. Head light low beam and high beam work. Trying to get in contact with Ford canada and a Ford dealership. Was scanned at a shop and showed multiple body control module faults and looks like a module. But not touching the vehicle as it has the max warranty they sell this vehicle is in nova scotia, but came from the michigan plant. It will not accept my canadian address.

Exactly what is described in TSB 22-2025 and 21-2147. Ford did not put an engine cover on my truck, and water has intruded into the spark plug wells and corroded the equipment. Ford is refusing to fix the issue, as the NHTSA didn't include my VIN in the two previously issues tsbs about this.
The backup camera on my truck washes out at night when the lights are turned on and backing up, rendering it useless. The washout is not as severe with just putting in reverse without lights, but still dangerous. The local Ford dealer states this is inherent in all Rangers, broncos and other vehicles.

See related steering problem report. After electronic power steering assist went out on vehicle without warning of any kind to owner, dealer's service department diagnostics as best as I can determine did not indicate a problem with the parts that were replaced. The parts replaced were: 1. Steering gear/rack and pinion/epas (which seems to go by various names), and, when installing this new, expensive, and long-in-coming part didn't get the power steering to work, 2. The battery. The scenario suggests that the root problem was the battery, not the steering gear. A representative of another dealer has advised that the first thing they check in cases involving electronic components is the battery. He also advised that Ford does not have a standard operating procedure or service bulletin that says this is something that is to be done. Can this be? apparently, at least for this vehicle, there was/is no system to check for adequate battery voltage or to warn that electronic components like the power steering may fail if the battery is not replaced. If my research results are correct, the diagnostic trouble codes the Ford dealer repair tech found went to a steering angle sensor in the steering column, and things having to do with the anti-lock brake system. They weren't fixed, but the codes disappeared after the new battery was installed. The diagnostic tools seem to give more misdirection than direction. With so many critical electrical components in today's vehicles, the warning and diagnostic systems seem woefully inadequate. I have read about Fords limiting battery recharging to about 75% and have noted that one of the dtcs involved here, u3003, sets on-demand if the voltage supplies to the abs module falls below 10 volts. I'm a layman, but these things suggest to me that some of the electronic components require substantial minimum operating voltage which an older battery would not supply, and the recharging cap could exacerbate the problem.

In may of 2022 at approximatley 46,000 miles a family members 2019 Ford Ranger had the a/c unit on, but very hot air was blowing on drivers side. After inspection and pin point test the Ford dealership determined a manufactures drivers side temp blend door was malfunctioning and was replaced at full charge of both parts and labor to the owner. A few days later after the manufactures malfunctioning part was replaced, the very same issue developed and caused a family member to pass out due to over 100 degress inside the vehicle. After other inspection by the Ford dealership it was determined the manufactures blend door acuator, was malfunctioning and was replaced at full charge of both parts and labor to the owner. On the week of April 10, 2023, this VIN's Ford Ranger has experienced the exact same issues and has been determined the exact same manufactures parts are malfunctioning. My brake lights, turn signals, running lights, and hazards don't work. The Ford dealership has inspected it. There were no warning signs or symptoms prior to failure.
Both of my taillights no longer work, at first it was intermittent and they would come back on but after a while nothing worked. No turn signal, hazard, or brake lights for the rear taillights only. The overhead one above the bed still works. The vehicles behind me cannot tell whether I am braking, turning or driving. It appears this was a common issue on earlier vehicles in production. It has been reproduced by an independent service center. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, and no there was no other symptoms prior to the failure other than the intermittent working and not working.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions, the infotainment system screen turned black intermittently. Additionally, the contact stated that upon starting the vehicle and accelerating, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer on several occasions, but the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was taken to autozone, where it was diagnosed that an unknown O2 sensor located behind the glove box, and the sensors connected to the catalytic converter had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 300.
My rear camera stopped working and I think the front collision alert is affected as well. I understand there was/is a recall for this issue but not my vehicle. I do not understand why.
As I was pulling out of zip's car into a parking spot to vacuum truck. I was barely moving when the truck accelerated at a high rate of speed and hit the wall in front of me. It was like the truck had a mind of its own. I just knew I wasn't doing it. If someone had been walking in front of me it would have killed them. My air bag did not come out. My chest hit the steering wheel very hard. The police showed up and did a report. I did not get a ticket. The truck was towed and looked over. There was so much damage to the truck it was totaled. I can't believe this happened to me. I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone. It was a very scary experience.
There was a alert saying my trailer was hooked my trailer was unhooked. On displace screen. When in fact my trailer was never hook to my truck. Loss of power.
On Jan 04,2022 while flat towing my truck behind my motorhome it caught fire and burned to the ground. It was too badly burned for the insurance to make a determination of the cause. However, it started in the engine compartment. I know it was not a bad tire because all tires were inflated until the fire popped them. I was able to get the truck disconnected from the RV and know that it remain in neutral with nothing seized up like the transmission or brakes because the truck rolled on its own once it was disconnected and had to be chocked. I had followed all the proper procedures and my key was in acc position. I had towed this truck many hundred miles prior. That day I had towed it 5-6 hours prior to the fire. This incident took place in alachua county florida. Alachua county fire rescur case # acfr22-0000462 alachua police department case #22apd00014 state farm insurance claim #36-29co-58s.
My daughter called me screaming when her 2005 Ford Ranger fx4 level 2 had unexplained runaway throttle while driving back to college in January 2022. The vehicle had the cruise control on for a couple hours and without warning, began to accelerate to the point that it was at the rev limiter, traveling at 90 miles an hour. She called me hysterical and I advised her to shut off the cruise and hit the brakes but nothing would stop her or turn off the cruise. I advised her to turn off the vehicle to acc position and coast to the shoulder. When she had calmed down, I asked her to restart the truck, it started wide open throttle, so she immediately shut it off. I told my daughter then to mash the gas pedal a few times and restart the vehicle. It restarted at normal idle speed. 1/28/2022- my daughter came home from school today for a visit, the same thing happened again on her drive home. She was able to coast to the shoulder and restart after mashing the pedal a few times. I am advising her not to use the cruise control and to get it into a Ford shop to inspect. There are no lamps or warnings to indicate there is an issue or code/cel. This is a deadly situation that apparently has occurred with Ford explorers that have the 4. 0 liter engine and 5. 0l engine. . Read more...

Truck continues to have airbag lights on even after repairs at Ford dealership. The first time it happened it would only come on when cold and would go off after 30-45 minutes. When airbag light was on gauges, heat and air and stereo would not work. That was November 2020. The dealership replaced body control module and other electrical components. June 2021 the airbag light is on again. The code it’s giving is short in passenger airbag circuit. The truck is also saying that rear driver door is open when shut and continually tries to lock and unlock doors. Interior lights stay on because the truck thinks the door is open. Dealership keeps putting off seeing truck for diagnosing. Will not answer if the truck is safe to drive or if airbags will function if the truck is involved in an accident.
On numerous occasions, the "rear drivers side door ajar" warning shows on the dash and the lights inside the truck stay on even when I have not used the rear drivers side door but only the front drivers side door. Vehicle currently has 754 miles on it. Bought brand new.
Door ajar warning stays on despite checking and ensuring the doors are all closed. Indicating front passenger door only at this time.
Driver side rear door constantly shows as ajar and triggers alarm, even when firmly closed. Unsure if cause is improperly fit body work or electrical components but nothing fixes it and dealer doesn't have time to look at it. I am unable to lock the truck or the alarm will sound and drain my battery because of the left passenger door.

I have a 2019 Ford Ranger that was built June 24th 2019 the internet states that any Ford Ranger 2019 XLT built before July 30th 2019 has a recall for the hvac system in the blower motor well my truck did not make the recall list but yet it has every single issue that they recall every time I call all they say is my vehicle VIN number is not on the recall but what is the chances that my blower motor and my blend door actuator does not work. When I bought the truck in 2021 I heard a ticking noise but the air still worked me being a female never thought much of it I thought it was my radio or something so this problem has existed since the day I bought it with 20,000 miles on it from the dealership. It has been tested by the Ford motor company and it does not work I have the same symptoms same issues and I should have my truck in the recall to get my air conditioner fixed it is a 4 year old truck and should not be broken I have on the truck for 4 years I bought it at 20,000 miles there's a ticking behind the dash and the blower motor does not work. I am disabled and live in south carolina where is over 100° so it is a safety issue my truck should be on the recall the dealer should fix it how do I get this taken care of.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Ranger. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air conditioner was activated. The air conditioner made a ticking sound. In addition, the a/c started blowing out hot air. The contact stated that the failure occurred when the temperature was 100 degrees. The contact stated that because of health issues, the air conditioner was required during the heated temperatures. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a failed a/c blower motor. The contact was informed that the a/c blower motor needed to be replaced. Extended cab model, rear driver door intermittently indicates door ajar. Alert appears while in motion, usually after a bump in the road. This happens after the door is closed by gripping midway down the frame. This warning can be prevented if the door is closed by gripping the top of the door frame. This does not occur on the rear passenger door. This has occurred ever since the vehicle was purchased new from a dealer.
The info screen which controls hvac freezes up preventing the user from changing the hvac settings which could cause the windshield to fog or freeze . Very dangerous. . . It's happening in all Fords not just the Ranger yet no recal as of yet.
Tl the contact owns a 2019 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that a chipmunk entered into the vehicle and ate some electrical wires. The vehicle was taken to bill dube Toyota (40 dover point rd, dover, nh 03820; (603) 749-5500), where it was diagnosed with needing the heating unit to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.
Body, frame and suspension have all been rusted out. Bumper recently just fell off due to rust (while parked). Doors won't shut completely due to rust, which has led to the interior light remaining on or periodically turning on throughout the day/night and killing the battery. Entire truck is one big pile of rust on wheels.
