I was driving home from work doing 25 mph the car accelerate to 45 mph without my foot on the gas. The brakes would not stop the car, I had turned down a side street trying to push the brakes while putting the car into park. The car made a loud noise. This happen again the next day. It is very scary and very dangerous Ford needs to fix this issue. I almost took the highway home thank god I didnt!!.

The contact owns a 2008 Ford Taurus. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic for routine maintenance after hearing a loud noise coming from the rear brakes. The mechanic informed her that the calipers would not close and the pistons would not compress the brakes shoes in order to stop the vehicle. The dealer was called and informed her that was normal wear and tear on the brakes and that there was no other assistance offered. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was repaired by the mechanic. The failure mileage was 19,320.

Wnen I left the dealer and put the brakes on a block away they did not work and the engine accelerated. I took the car right back to the dealer and was told if they could not make the car 100% I could trade. Well that never happened. The first time I used the cruise control it make a horrible noise when I engaged it. When I put my car in park the engine revs up to between 3 and 4. I have to turn it off to make it stop.
