The vehicle will sometimes crank but will not start. It happens more often on hot days and when parked with the passenger side towards the sun. The local dealer is unable to diagnose the problem. I left the car with the dealer from 6/8/2018-6/20/2018 and the car only failed to start one time and they were unable to find the reason. Since picking the car up it has failed to start three times. I checked online and found that there is an issue with the fuel pump relay. I pulled the relay from our car and it is the same one that has a recall except ours is on a Taurus limited not the sho. I recommend recalling all vehicles with the same fuel pump relay regardless of model/trim. I have attached a photo of our car's fuel pump relay.

Takata recall 2013 Ford Taurus. . . It's only February of 2017 and I have had this problem three different times this year alone. The car starts very very rough. Half of the time it doesn't start. The vehicle has stalled on me while in motion going down city streets. It has been in the shop twice this year to repair/find the problem. Still no results. Even when the car does start I am afraid to drive it because it will and has stalled on me in traffic. Automotive shop told me it was a bad fuel pump relay. I paid to have that replaced. Not even a week later, only six days later the car stalls again. I took it back to the shop where they got it running again for free. But only temporarily. Couple weeks later at the most and I'm right back to where I started. Car will not start. If it does start it will stall immediately once I am in motion. This vehicle is only three years old and there is no excuse for it not being on the road. This is safety hazard. I cannot comfortably drive my car to and from work without worrying about it stalling and getting rear-ended. It will not be a good day when this causes an accident.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that when the vehicle was refueled, fuel leaked from underneath. In addition, the contact mentioned that after being refueled, the vehicle failed to start intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,000.
The car will not start. This has happened 7 times in the last two months. It is totally random. It doesn't matter if it is cold or hot. There is no connection between how long it has been driven or how long it has sat parked. For example: yesterday, the car was parked for a couple of hours. I went to start it and nothing. After 15 min, it started. I then went to another store that was maybe five min away. The car was parked no longer than 10 min . When I got in the car to leave it would not start. It started 60 min later. The shortest amount of time I have waited for it to start is 10 min the longest is one hour. When I attempt to start it there is usually no sound. Once when I turned it over, I heard a click, but nothing. I cannot move the gear shift and the brakes are frozen. I have had it in the dealership twice and they cannot find anything wrong because they cannot duplicate the problem. I cannot just leave it at the dealership indefinitely because I do not have the luxury of having another car at my disposal. They will not give me a loaner because it is out of warranty. I am hesitant about going anyplace for fear of it not starting and how long I will be sitting someplace waiting for it to start. It isn't safe. I am leaving for three weeks and will leave it with the dealership then, but if they can't duplicate the problem, I 'm back to square one. I have been on-line and no one else has made a complaint about this issue from what I have read.
