Fuses And Circuit Breaker Problems of Ford Taurus

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle loss motive power with the transmission not in park warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed montrose Ford located at 3960 medina rd, fairlawn, OH 44333, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a blown fuse. The fuse was replaced however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and the fuse was replaced. The mechanic informed the contact to purchase the same fuse and to keep them in the vehicle to replace if the failure recurred. The mechanic showed the contact how to replace the fuse. The manufacture was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 9.

Blower fan failure to operate and when it did work, it made a loud squeaking noise. Finally complete failure. System evaluatlion, fuses, circuit breakers, harnesses all good. Removed fan motor housing and fan motor. Both showed evidence of water collecting in the housing and motor itself. To correct the problem I purchased a fan motor , installed and reassembled everything. My question, is this going to happen again?.

: the contact stated the rear brake switch and stop lamp did not work when the brake pedal was depressed and sometimes did not turn off mechanically. Also, the brake light would remain illuminated for many hours. The battery was replaced once. The problem was linked to the gear shift. The contact could not shift the gear from parking to drive. The vehicle needed to be turned off and turned back on in order to shift the gear to drive. The vehicle was taken to the dealership for repairs.

While driving 45 mph vehicle stalled. Vehicle was taken to dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the fuel pump and fuse needed to be replaced, and replaced it. However, the problem recurred, and mechanic could not duplicate the problem.

Wire assembly to brake light switch snagged on to and then wrapped around the steering column several times. This resulted in a "noose effect" on the steering column that prevented hard right turns of the automobile and eventually broke off the brake light switch assembly from the brake pedal. This also resulted in brake light failure. Spoke to Ford road side assistance representative and informed them that they should not be giving drivers directions on how to start the car from a neutral gear position to bypass the interlock mechanism between brake and transmission shifter. I recommend that Ford either look at securing the cables or cover the moving components of the steering column under the dashboard.

After getting recall 01v075000 repairs done for pedal extenders consumer was unable to shift gears. Also, brake lights have gone out due to this recall. Contacted dealer, and dealer was not willing to do anything.

Brake lights would continuously stay on, also, has affected cruise control contacted dealer.

When engine is turned off and the key is removed from ignition rear brake lights remain on. Dealer has yet to be contacted. Please provide further details.

Loss of electrical power including dashboard, headlights,horn,signals,radio,a/c,windshield wipers,etc on four occasions.

Rear tail lights and back up lights were not working. Electrical defect did not affect headlights or dashboard lights.

Safety hazard caused by failure of interior lights to turn off, and automatic unlocking of only the driver door, immediately after using power lock button to lock all doors.

When you first start the car brake lights do not work. Once vehicle is very warm brake lights will start working again. Consumer feels that if making a sudden stop the other driver may not see consumer.

The fuse box is located too close to the brake pedal . Every time brakes are applied, foot would hit the fuse box. This would cause the cover of the fuse box to come off. Then the fuses were knocked out & would cause vehicle not have brake lights. Has taken vehicleto dealer & so far the mechanic has repaired it 5 times.

While driving electronic parts are not responding properly, the panel lights will blink, as well as the headlights. Sometimes consumer can't get the headlights to come on at all. Dealer has been contacted. Vehicle has been in to dealer three tims and they still have not found the problem.

Switch in door to advise if door is open stays on. When this occurs, it causes for dome lights to come on. Consumer has had repairs on vehicle on two different occasions, but problem continues to occur.

Fuse blew out on emergency flashers.

The turn signals and flashers were inoperative. The dealer found both fuses pulled and flashers disconnected.

Brake lights were inoperable. Took vehicle to dealer, and dealer indicated adjustable pedal and brake assembly had gotten contaminated. Had repaired, but problem still exists.

When sun hits vehicle or even when temperature is hot at night, interior lights and door ajar light come on. Lights stay on for an hour or more before going out. This causes poor driver's visibility when driving at night. Dealership was not able to determine what was causing this problem.

Head light failed due to a blown fuse in the battery junction box. Nlm.
