First our car engine light came on and started blinking. We had to have it towed in to an auto repair shop and have it checked out. While they were checking out the car, they found a problem with the fuel rail pressure range and performance and the fuel level sensor ckt fault. The car also showed that it needed a major servicing. Two months after the car was serviced, I was heading home. On a busy hwy, when all of a sudden my car starts acting like it is out of gas. My gas hand said the car still had a 1/4 tank of gas. So I didn't know what was going on. Well I managed to get to a gas station and found out that I was indeed out of gas. The gas hand didn't show that of neither did the gas light come on to tell me I was running low. After I filled up the car, my engine light came on again. So I called the auto repair shop I took the car to. I didn't know if it was something they did. Come to find out when they ran the check on the car it was a recall they had found wrong with my car. I mentioned earlier what the problem was called it is in the third sentence. The repair man ran a check to see if it was a recall with my vehicle and found out that it was. In Aug. 2000 Ford motor CO. Sent out a service recall bulletin to all Ford dealers, that there was a emissions recall 00e10 - certain 2000 model year Taurus flex fuel vehicles- fuel delivery module replacement. I contacted Ford about fixing this problem and they refused to do so. They told me that it was already done but I still have the problems and they can't give me the proof that it was fixed. So in my eyes until I see proof and until my car is fixed I don't believe them. I don't like having to drive my car around when at any moment I may run out of gas because I forgot to keep a check on my mileage. Something I should not have to do in the first place since that is what gas hands are for. I also have two young children and I baby sit another whom I am constantly having to drive around with. Please help me!.

Fuel pump and fuel pressure sensor was replaced on 7-11-00 when car had 7812 miles on it. It had died, but I was able to get it started again and took it to the dealership. On 7-27-00 the car died completely and would not start (had 8768 miles on it). It had to be towed to the dealership, where the fuel pump was replaced again.
This vehicle has been a nightmare since we bought it from team Ford in June. The car has been to the dealer three times for two days per incident and the same problems continue while they gradually discover more problems each time. A car with 5200 miles on it should not need the varied and unique combination of replacements our car has required. The car makes a rotational grinding noise while at freeway speeds, when going over bumps or taking an involved turn the car makes a pop/crack noise from left/front of car. The car has stalled three times during freeway and city driving. The driver's side window creaks and shudders when being put up or down. The car hesitates when started in 80 degree weather and comes close to stalling when initially putting into gear. Now and then car makes lunging motion and noise when put in drive or reverse. I could go on and on. . . I am reporting defects and problems to better business bureau and the nevada attorney general's office. Please help!.
I have filed a lemon law complaint with the attorney general in texas. No safety defect listed in summary.
Now the car has 12,ooo miles, I have to wait three weeks to take it back in. This time I have these problems, the power sunroof switch works when it wants to,the power steering started to make noise, has to add fluid, again it makes more noise, last song on cd's stick. This is the iceing on the cake tonight I go to dinner, when I come out, I smelled gasoline when the car started, I thought that maybe it was another car. Went to bbest but, was gone for 25 minutes, came back started car, and again smell of gasoline. I made a appointment to take care in was given daate of sept 6. I will call thurs. I will raise cane. This car has had too many problems. I bought it with 6 miles. Very disappointed.
This vehicle quit on the highway and was towed back to our shop. The fuel pump fuse had blown. The wires to the fuel pump inside the fuel tank had been rubbing against a hose clamp and had shorted together. Ford does have a TSB concerning this problem. The number is 98-25-1. It concerns me that the wires are shorting out in the highly flammable environment of the inside of a tank full of fuel and vapor. I cannot believe this is only covered by a TSB and not a recall.
I was told by the dealer that the problem I encountered with my vehicle is a known problem with my model year as the manufacturer has issued a TSB. The problem with the vehicle manifest itself by stalling when deceleration is occurring. The stalling occurs ramdomly with the engine operating at normal to slightly elevated temperature. Ability to steer the vehicle becomes very difficult one the vehicle has stalled and this is usually the first indication that a stall has occurred. I believe this stalling represent a serious safety issue with this vehicle, one the manufacturer is aware of.
